Perfect mix of true history, legends, and ghost stories!

Dr. Vitka is an incredible story teller and speaker! We enjoyed this tour 3 years ago on our first trip to Salem. We decided to book a different tour for this trip, just to have a different experience. That other tour was so disappointing, we booked with Dr. Vitka for the following night since we knew how great it was a few years ago. We were so glad we decided to splurge for this second tour! Highly recommend to anyone looking to hear the true history of Salem, woven in with some spooky stories and legends along the way.

Incredible tour with Michael (and his adorable cat Clarence)! Glad we were able to take advantage of Summerween. We did the 7:45pm tour which was the perfect amount of spooky and entertaining. Lots of history and...

Lots of history and interesting facts shared about the town and the Salem witch trials. Our guide, Misha, was extremely knowledgeable and friendly! We really enjoyed the experience! Just as a side note, the tour is listed as an hour. Ours lasted two hours!

We loved the interaction with all of the guests, the trust to allow us to use their private quarters, and the quality of care these men give the schooner. I would gladly come back and bring more family with me to enjoy this experience. I was the tiny 60 yr old lady that quickly volunteered to assist in hoisting the main sail. I believe it was July 3rd. :-) Great JOB!!!!

Our tour guide, April, did an amazing job! She was very knowledgeable about the town and pointed out little things most people would miss. Such a cool experience!...

Such a cool experience! My three kids ages 5, 9, 11 loved being able to personalize their own broom. I was nervous they wouldn’t be able to do a lot of it on their own but they were pretty self sufficient and only needed help with tying and some difficult parts. The brooms are good quality and pretty sturdy. We got lots of compliments on them while walking around the town after!!

Super informative. Great experience overall. She was very knowledgeable and made it fun and interesting. Most vital to me. She made it honest and respectful for the dead. She shared the history in a way that helped me realize that some of those attitudes are pervasive still today and there wouldn't be a huge leap to have similar horrors done today. I learned so much and am grateful for having gone. Sarah was amazing.

We had an amazing time on the Booze and Brews Tour in Salem, Massachusetts! The tour was the perfect mix of local history, great drinks, and fun atmosphere. Our guide was knowledgeable, entertaining, and made every stop interesting with fascinating stories about Salem's past. The breweries and pubs we visited each had their own unique charm, and we got to sample some fantastic local beverages along the way. The pace was relaxed, giving us plenty of time to enjoy the drinks, explore the locations, and meet other people on the tour. Whether you're visiting Salem for the first time or you're a local looking for a fun outing, I highly recommend the Booze and Brews Tour. It was one of the highlights of our trip, and we can't wait to do it again!

A grounded view of witchcraft past and present

This was perfect for us! Even though it was gray and drizzly, the rain let up just in time for our tour. I appreciated how our guide, Will, tied the history of witchcraft in Salem to present day. Everyone’s favorite part was when we got to participate in spell work in the garden! (Bonus: Will told us where all the good bathrooms are, which is clutch for out-of-town visitors!)
