Best Tour of Fairbanks

This Heart of Fairbanks tour was excellent. We were picked up at our hotel promptly as promised. The rainy day didn't deter us from visiting 2 local museums, Pioneer Park and North Pole AK. Our driver kept up an informative narrative throughout the tour. He adjusted the tour destinations to maximize the outside time when it was not raining. Great way to see Fairbanks.

13 Hours to see a sign - ABSOLUTELY!!!

Driving 13 hours round trip in a van on a bumpy road just to see a sign - Absolutely we did this and it was worth it! And.... we saw a Moose! It was a great day with a beautiful sky, amazing views, the Yukon River, a lot of trucks, some construction, many potholes and at the end, the Arctic Circle! Milo, our tour guide, was insightful, knowledgeable, entertaining, warm, friendly and a great driver. We learned a lot about Alaska, the trees, animals and the Dalton Highway. So was it worth it to be part of the 1% of the world population who has been to the Arctic Circle - you bet!

The scenery was amazing. Sabrina from northern Alaska tour was fantastic. She was courteous, personable, and provided a lot of info. Excellent driver - 16 hours on bumpy road with a lot of heavy trucks. Visiting the arctic circle sign was on our bucket list and we met that. It was a great feeling! The food at Yukon river trading post was awesome. Loved their vegan burger. Loved it and recommend it highly.

Just book this tour. Our guides were amazing, they provided snacks, water and warmers. They even gave us dessert to go after the tour. We saw the aurora for the first time and also got to really enjoy it. We got to enjoy it because you don’t have to worry about taking photos because they will do it for you. I would recommend this tour.

Amazing tour! Best chance to see the Northern lights with photos!!

These guys are experts!! They took us to a great place for viewing the Northern lights near Birch Lake. They took professional photos, and provided several heated areas to hang out to warm up when it got too cold. We would not have been able to see the Northern lights as vividly or at all without this tour. We tried. We highly recommend this tour!!! I also wanted to say that we had a lot of trouble making it to our tour due to mechanical issues with our first airplane, leading us to be re-routed through Portland and Anchorage. Nicole was absolutely wonderful about working with us to help us join the tour. It also happened to be the best viewing during our entire stay. We are very thankful. This tour was wonderful and the guides are nice people.

An Experience We Will Never Forget!

An experience that we will never forget!. Picked on time up right from our hotel in a spacious very clean SUV. Wonderful experience petting the dogs, getting to know their names, great knowledge given about dog sledding from the owners and great photos taken. We were blown away with how amazing the dogs were on trail and how much they love to run! You will not regret it one bit booking this experience with this great company. Great experience, knowledgeable hosts!

It's a pretty straightforward experience. The host picks you up at your hotel (if you select that option). It's a 35 minute drive to the aurora house, and the guides will take pictures and you can take video and such on your phone. For the night I went, the aurora was visible at 10:30 pm and 2 am. So there can be a gap between sightings.

Up to the circle with Jessica.

First we would like to start with our guide Jessica. She was extremely knowledgeable, very friendly, accommodating, adaptive and prepared. She kept us very informed of the route we were going on and what to expect. Unfortunately, the Northern Lights did not accommodate us but Jessica tried. She stopped so many times to see if they were showing and did everything possible to find them but it was not to be. Her driving was extremely safe. The condition of the highway with the snow and ice could have made the drive trechararous but at no time did we feel unsafe. As far as how to dress, check the weather and dress appropriately. It was -11 and we had on thermals, coats, gloves and scarves and were as comfortable as could be. The only negative we have to say is, because it was so cold out, except for the windshield and front side windows, all the others were iced over on the inside so we couldn't see out at all. We tried the scraping with a credit card as Jessica suggested but it really didn't work. Maybe wipe them down with shaving cream or have a bottle of isopropyl alcohol and rags to wipe them with. This was a bucket list that we definitely will remember and was totally worth it!

Do not miss this one!

This was an incredible excursion and an absolute MUST if you're visiting Fairbanks! We had dinner at the on‑site restaurant; the standout dish by far was the Clam Chowder (so delicious!)—the rest of the menu was just okay. But the Hot Springs? Absolutely AMAZING. Some of our best photos from the entire trip came from capturing the auroras at Chena Hot Springs and even on the drive back to the lodge. It was such a magical experience. If you’re in Fairbanks, do not skip this. 10/10 recommend!

Memorable and Must Do Experience

Fantastic in every way! Tim and Joel provide an incredible memory-making adventure. Tim was our van driver and tour guide. Friendly, funny, regaling us with entertaining stories and humor, and a wealth of knowledge about Alaska. Our Sherpa driver, Joel, was fun and went out of his way to give us a comfortable, safe, and memorable experience seeing breathtaking views, discussing fun facts, and putting together and sending us a complimentary and cool drone video of our time in the Sherpa. We saw moose, visited Denali National Park Visitor Center, and lunch was delicious at the local cafe’. Communication before the tour was excellent. Tim and Joel do all the little things that make this a memorable and must do experience. HIGHLY Recommend!

Absolute once in a life time experience. As mesmerizing the Aurora and Arctic circle were, I wanted to give a shout out to our guide and tour operators Sultan. He was very resourceful and courteous and professional to the core and shared a passion for the main elements of the tour. Let me highlight what I liked about him 1. Was able to quickly accommodate changes when a couple of family members arrived late due to missed flight connections 2 . Gave very good directions up front via text message on what to bring and what to expect 3. Was very patient, without hurrying. made extra stops to enjoy the Aurora and almost allowed 1-2 hours extra because the Aurora watching was too good 4. Was also an excellent photographer and provided memorable pictures and also dashcam videos of the scenic drive 5. Was professional to the core and passionate about Aurora, the Arctic circle and Alaska and help the guests truly get more than their money’s worth 6.
