A Nostalgic Wine Tour

We booked the Volkswagen Bus Wine Tour to celebrate my best friend’s 40th birthday, and it couldn’t have been a better experience! Riding in the vintage VW bus was like stepping back in time and brought back so many childhood memories of road trips with my parents and grandparents. It even reminded me of my dad’s old 1960s Cadillac. Our tour guide, Israel, was fantastic—friendly, fun, and made everyone feel welcome. He played music from the ’60s while we cruised through wine country, which perfectly matched the nostalgic atmosphere and made the drive between wineries so relaxing. This tour is ideal for small groups, so it never felt crowded or rushed. The two wineries were good choices, and spending about an hour at each gave us plenty of time to enjoy the tastings and scenery without making the day feel too long. After the tour, we headed to another venue for lunch, which made for the perfect way to wrap up the celebration. I highly recommend this tour if you’re looking for a unique, laid-back wine tasting experience with great company, beautiful views, and a fun trip down memory lane. It was the perfect way to celebrate a milestone birthday!

Mike was a wonderful tour host. He was engaging and interactive. Very knowledgeable and funny. We met some very nice people who were also on the tour when we went to one of the beautiful tasting rooms. We saw them later that evening and found out that they had just gotten engaged! After the tour we became members and picked up four of our favorite tastings. Definitely worth the money.

This was a very fun experience! We had a big yet small group (15 of us) which was very nice compared to bigger groups from other tours. With the small amount of people in our group (which was a Full group for this tour) we were able to get our wine tastings with no problem or delay. We went to four wineries, spent a little over an hour at each. The driver was kind, funny, and shared the knowledge he knew about the wineries. I definitely recommend this tour for an intimate and fun experience!
