Loved this tour and Francisco was an amazing guide! He was super fun, kind and knowledgable and adapted to the needs of our group. Taking the train from Lisbon to Sintra was very easy and I'm glad we didn't waste time in traffic on a tour bus. Our Sintra tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Portugal, and so much of that was because of our wonderful guide, Pedro. From the moment he picked us up at our hotel, everything was seamless. He was extremely punctual, professional, kind, and genuinely went above and beyond to make sure our family had an amazing day. Pedro was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so much fascinating history and information throughout the day, but never in a way that felt overwhelming. He somehow knew exactly when to step in with an interesting story, a helpful tip, or a little piece of local knowledge. He also knew all the little tricks for navigating Sintra, helping us avoid unnecessary lines and crowds and making the timing of the day feel effortless. One thing that made our experience particularly special was that Pedro made the extra effort to conduct the entire tour in Spanish, even though it was his first time doing the tour in Spanish. And honestly, you would never have known it was his first time. His Spanish was excellent, he communicated everything beautifully, and he did an absolutely amazing job. He was also incredibly thoughtful throughout the day. He had water waiting for us in the car, gave us wonderful restaurant recommendations, and even surprised us by taking the initiative to gift us some delicious local pastries — including travesseiros, which were absolutely yummy and such a sweet touch. Those little gestures really showed how much he cared about making our day special. The timing of the tour was perfect. Pedro was incredibly patient and never rushed us. Whenever one of us wanted to spend extra time taking in a view, exploring an area, or taking photos, he simply waited patiently and let us enjoy it. He truly tailored the pace of the day to our family rather than making us feel like we were following a strict schedule. And of course, Sintra itself was magical. The palaces, gardens, winding roads, and incredible views were everything we hoped for. Having Pedro there to explain the history and point out details we would have otherwise missed made the experience so much richer. From the easy transfer from Lisbon, to the perfectly planned timing, to the beautiful sites, wonderful food recommendations, thoughtful touches, and exceptional guiding, we absolutely loved our Sintra experience. Pedro was not just a tour guide — he genuinely made us feel taken care of for the entire day. We would highly recommend this tour, and especially Pedro, to anyone visiting Sintra. Majestic Sintra Half Day Tour (with kids)

George was such a lovely tour guide. On our way up, he shared some interesting highlights about Portugal and the area we were visiting. He dropped us off very close to the entrances of the places we were going to visit and took into account that we were traveling with young kids ( 2.5 yrs old and a 7 yrs old). His ability to adjust our day based on our family’s needs was greatly appreciated. He recommended touring the outside of Pena Palace and then walking down along Route 2 (blue), which turned out to be a great recommendation. He also brought us to downtown Sintra, where we had plenty of time to enjoy lunch, the view, and buy some souvenirs. George went above and beyond by taking us to Belém to try the famous Pastéis de Belém. He was sweet, warm, and friendly throughout the entire day. We had a wonderful time and truly appreciated everything he did to make our experience so enjoyable!

Great Day In Sintra!

What a great day touring Sintra. And how fun to do it in a cute little red convertible jeep. Diaogo was an amazing quide and really gave us incredible information as we toured. We made several stops for photos and views. And he even gave us a small gift. Great way to see Sintra. We opted to not go into the palace or tour the grounds but if that’s your thing I would go super early. There is still plenty of walking on this tour but you can personalize your tour. Exceptional day in Sintra and coast visit

Our guide Miguel was exceptional, he made sure we had the best experience possible, he is a local passionate about his city and very knowledgeable which definitely added to the experience and appreciation of the sites. I can not recommend Miguel highly enough. I would also definitely recomend Sintra Tours/dreamymermaid tours. Medhi was also very good and easy to communicate with, after a Viator mix-up he made it possible for our tour to still go ahead.

Lawrence was a fantastic...

Lawrence was a fantastic driver. He personalized our transfer, pointed out historical sites and thought of everything to make sure we were comfortable. We chose Aveiro as our stop. I was disappointed as it felt like a tourist trap. There is nothing romantic about a motorized gondola ride in small concrete channels with 20 other people under the blazing sun.

Bruno was our tour guide and he was fantastic! He was so knowledgeable about the history of Portugal, and more specific histories of Lisbon, Sintra, and Cascais. From the moment he picked us up he was SO accommodating and made sure we had the best experience possible. He suggested what times to book tickets to the Pena Palace and Regalaria and they were both perfect and gave us enough time to explore each stop on the trip. Excellent experience! We loved this tour. It was highly customizable and we were able to go and do only what we wanted to in the moment. Our guide, Ginar, was very knowledgeable about the history, vegetation, and current affairs of the region. He gave us excellent recommendations and steered us clear of the “traps” where there were lengthy waits for little reward. We had a truly wonderful day. I cannot recommend this tour more!
