Very nice and competent guide! We did not see the “well” that is pictured in the advertisement of the tour, however. That was a disappointment.

Thank you very much, Lisa. I'm so glad you enjoyed the experience. I understand and regret your disappointment at not having visited the Regaleira and its Initiation well. Since your tour to Sintra was booked on very short notice, and visits to the Regaleira require scheduled entry times, there were no tickets available for the date of our tour. I'm happy you had the chance to visit the Pena Palace. It's also truly a memorable monument. It really was a great pleasure to meet you and Donna. You're both very kind. Disappointed …

Viator did not share with our guide that the Peña Palace was closed by strike on April 6 so he drove us there and we even waited at the gate before we discovered it was closed. Our guide was so sorry and he drove us to several other sites that were very crowded because so many had the same experience. We would like you to consider a refund of the amounts we charged by our guide Francisco Basso of Lisbon Day trip who did an excellent job of trying some other places but we just wanted to tour the Peña. It was very aggravating for us and for him that this half day to Peña on April 6 did not work for us. Please understand why we would ask for a refund. We do not blame Francisco for this.. he is a good and capable guide . And would not consider using viator until we reach some reconciliation.
