This was a wonderful experience in the capable hands of our tour leader Odie and driver Albert. The sights were magnificent on a stunning day. The commentary was informative and entertaining. We had a good length of time at each site to explore. The bus was comfortable and tour well designed for a good balance of travelling and sightseeing off the bus

Anna! and Gregor

Bridget_K, Mar 2026
I’ve taking a lot of tours and Anna was absolutely at the top for the experience she provided. Friendly, funny, amazing story telling, patient and easy to connect with immediately which is impressive for such a big group. Our driver Gregor drove us around safely and kept the bus comfortable and clean. Highly recommend this Golden Circle experience. I wish I could have Anna guide us around the entire country!

Wild and Wonderful

Rchard_K, Sep 2025
The tour was very well run and covered all the sights as were described in the description of the tour online. Sunny, our tour guide, was exceptional in her description of each site and also giving recommendations on which way to get the best views. Szymon our driver was a true professional.

Amirun_R, Aug 2025
Well organized. The tour guide Youray was very knowledgeable and informative. Youray shared with us his life experiences and family histor. Each experience was not too rushed. This tour is not one to miss. Out drive Lucas was good with he's time keeping to each of the activitie locations and he also had a good sense of humour.

Grand Circle is the best!

Golden Circle Tour is a must see when visiting Iceland

Dallas_C, Aug 2025
I recently did the Golden Circle tour in Iceland, and it was incredible. The route covers Iceland’s most iconic natural wonders - Kerid Crater, Geysir, Gullfoss, Thingvellir National Park. It is a great way to starr your trip to Iceland. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and shared fascinating insights about Icelandic history, geology, and culture throughout the day.

So so

Shelli_B, Aug 2025
Not the best tour however the rain was not the best either. The places we would have preferred longer stays were short; waterfalls and platonic plates, and too much time for the geysers. The geyser only blasts about 5-10 minutes and is over quickly. Not much else to see.

Response from Host, Aug 2025

Dear Shelli_B, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry to hear the tour didn’t meet your all your expectations. The Icelandic weather can be unpredictable and sometimes challenging, but for many, it also becomes part of the adventure and adds a unique character to the day and experience in Iceland itself. Regarding the timing at each stop, our itinerary is thoughtfully designed to help spread out visitor flow at the most popular sites. Geysir, being the midpoint of the journey and the designated lunch stop, naturally allows for a longer break. We do understand, however, that preferences can vary. We hope that you were still able to enjoy the remarkable landscapes along the way. Kind regards, Andreea

A big group of people. Had to sit at the back of a large bus making it difficult to hear what the guide was describing. Sites visited were great.

Response from Host, Aug 2025

Dear Robert_B, Thank you for your feedback! We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the sites visited during the tour. We are sorry to hear, however, that the experience of traveling on a larger bus may have felt less personal. Our classic tours are operated with big groups, and this information is available at the time of booking. We understand that some guests may prefer a more intimate setting, which is why we also offer a similar tour in a smaller group format, designed specifically to foster a closer connection with both the guide and fellow travelers. Rest assured, our buses are equipped with speaker systems designed to provide commentary throughout the vehicle, though perceptions of sound quality can naturally vary. Kind regards, Andreea

We had a great time, could have done with a bit longer at each stop but still enjoyed it. Our driver and Thor, the guide, were both great.

Good tour, recommend Bustravel Iceland!

Katie_M, Jul 2025
Stopped at Thingvellir National Park, Geysir, Gullfoss, Kerid crater, and we even got a bonus 5 minute stop to feed some horses (so cool!). Our driver was great, smooth and safe ride. Our tour guide was down to earth and very informative and accommodating. We got picked up at BSI because we were concerned we wouldn’t get seats together at later pick up locations. We needn’t have worried. Plenty of seats for all. Had no trouble hearing our guide on the bus. Temperature on the bus was fine. Stopped at Geysir for lunch and had lamb stew. Didn’t do much shopping at the stops. Wanted to save souvenir shopping for our last day in Reykjavik so we could get some items made in Iceland. I recommend BusTravel Iceland. We booked through Viator and got plenty of confirmation and instructions for pick up. We arrived at 1:40pm for a 2:00pm departure. The people working inside the bus terminal only had information for the fly bus to and from the airport in Keflavik or for Reykjavík Expeditions so they didn’t know much about where to pick up the Bustravel Iceland bus. So I called Bustravel Iceland and they gave me clear instructions on where to meet the bus (out front) and the number of the bus. Sure enough, the bus arrived around 1:50pm and the tour guide checked that we were on the list. At the end of the tour, we decided to get off a little closer to our hotel near Harpa concert hall instead of back at BSI. Driver and guide were very accommodating.

Fantastic trip - well organised and great guide.

Ian_B, Jul 2025
Wonderful trip, fantastic guide, comfortable journey. Lots of good opportunities to see features of the south and east of Iceland. Really well-organised and good timing - enough time at each stop so that you could enjoy what you were seeing.

This is the most traditional what we know about Iceland: geysers, waterfall, Kerid crater, and we also saw a lot of lupine on our way. Our guide Jennifer was very friendly and told a lot of about Iceland. We had also plenty of time four lunch. It is a very nice tour.

1) Trip wonderful. Lots of beautiful sites and excellent commentary by Dennis. 2) There are two areas of uphill walking, but the rewards at the top were worth it! Dennis excellent guide.
