What are people saying about Reykjavik

Beautiful day on the Golden Circle
Small group tour to see the highlights of the Golden Circle. I really enjoyed the stop at Fridheimer Tomato Farm to see the Icelandic horses and the tomato production. Lunch in the winebar was very nice. They were very busy over lunchtime so our order was a long time coming and we had no time to even quickly browse their gift shop. The tomato products looked interesting.
Aside from the time constraints inevitable on a day tour covering a large area, we saw some spectacular scenery (especially Gullfoss and Thingvellir National Park). Our guide was pleasant and informative. It was a day well-spent.

Fantastic Reykjavik walking tour!
The tour gives you an excellent knowledge of the city and where everything is located. We would highly recommend taking this tour on your first day. We got excellent historical information and current information about the city. The guide was fantastic! So interesting and fun. He also had many recommendations what else to see and also where to eat. We are so happy we did this tour on our first day in the city. It was so helpful for the rest of our trip.

Amazing golden circle tour with Erik
Our super jeep tour with Erik was fantastic! We saw all of the sites advertised and he was personable, humorous, knowledgeable and great with our kids!
We started with a prompt pickup just outside our hotel at 830 on the dot as promised. From there we drove to the first site, a smaller waterfall, to get started. One great thing was that Erik continually took pictures with his phone of the 4 of us so we didnt have to keep asking other parties to take a group pic of us. I really appreciated this and was able to access all of the photos via drop box the next day.
The trip continued to Geyser where we saw the geyser erupt about 10 times over ~25 minutes - a great sight!
From there we went to Gulfoss waterfall which is breathtaking. i have mobility issues so was not able to walk down to the edge but Erik still took photos of the family and made sure i was okay at the designated pick ups after each site - this touch was really appreciated
Next we did some off roading in the hills on the way to the glacier. The kids got a kick out of the jeep bouncing around and driving through a little river - At the glacier, we spent time out in the snow looking at all the surrounding mountains - Erik was very informative telling us about the various movies that were filmed in the area (including Oblivion).
After the glacier, we went to the best beef and dairy farm for lunch. The food was incredible and the ice cream was excellent. The kids loved that we ate overlooking the dairy cows and calfs.
For the last site, we went to the national park that spans the continental divide. this was a great 20 minute walk to meet Erik at the parking area. At most stops, Erik would set a pick up spot and then wait for us to come through at our own pace, never rushing us.
The way back to Reykjavik was relaxed and Erik quizzed the kids on Icelandic factoids and stories.
I cannot say enough good things about this experience and i know my family agrees - this was one of, if not the best, experiences we had in our 4 day stay in Iceland.
i would absolutely recommend this company and Erik in particular.
Thank you so much for such a memorable experience!

EastWest tour with Delvin!!!!
It was a great overall tour. The vendor (EastWest) was on time and our driver Delvin was superb. He had a ton of information, gave us ample time to see every location we stopped at and previewed the next site while we were driving to it. He always shared where the toilets were!!!

Lovely day trip!
Amazing day trip, with beautiful places to see. It is a day with very long driving hours, and the bus is a bit small, but the driver, who was also the guide, was very nice, funny and shared interesting stories. A great story teller for a memorable day!

I "Lava-d" this half day trip
Excellent all around. Perfect pickup and transfers. Driver was safe on the road both ways (45 minute drive each way). Lava tour staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and kept the group safe the whole time. Everything was on time and excellent communication from booking to trip preparation and throughout the tour. Fun half day trip and well worth the cost.

Awesome tour, with hotel pickup!
Loved this tour! We had a mix of ages (9-43). Our group was small - only our family, and we had two guides. Loved getting to talk to them, learn more about Icelandic horses, in particular, and got to try out tolting! The same family has owned this stable and land for many decades, and it’s wonderful getting to hear their stories! Definitely recommend.
Their pickup at the hotel was timely and comfortable, also, which made the trip an easy one!

What an amazing tour!...
What an amazing tour! Absolutely breathtaking views combined with stories about Iceland, both ancient and modern. I learned so much about present-day life as well as Iceland’s culture, history, language, traditions, and economy. The bus was comfortable, everything was very well organized. A special thank you to our wonderful guide, Unnur, and the driver!

Wonderful trip!
An incredible day seeing all of the sights of the south coast! Stunning waterfalls, dramatic glaciers and beautiful beaches! Our guide, Diego, was wonderful... shared fascinating information about the geology, history and local area, without being overly technical! Would highly recommend!

Otherworldly Place!
Great excursion and highly recommend! Our bus driver was great; very knowledgable, fun and had a great playlist. The drive to Vik from Reykjavik is a bit long, but you stop about half way to break it up and use the washrooms or get food. The glacier hike/ice cave was amazing! On the itinerary, it says you’re there for 3 hours, however it’s about a 50 minute drive from the initial meeting point to the ice cave so it’s may feel a tad short. The views and experience are worth it!

Out tour guide, Steinnun...
Out tour guide, Steinnun was excellent. She did a great job not only informing us about Iceland’s scenery and geography, but also informing us about Iceland history, culture and people. Magnus, the bus driver did a good job adapting to unexpected road condition.

Great Tour
The tour was very well run and covered all the sights as were described in the description of the tour online. Sunny, our tour guide, was exceptional in her description of each site and also giving recommendations on which way to get the best views. Szymon our
driver was a true professional.
