Meet your guide and group in central Reykjavik, board the climate-controlled coach, and embark on your tour of Iceland's southern coast.
Head for Vik, the southernmost village on the island of Iceland. Along the way, make stops at some of the country's most spectacular natural landmarks. At the Seljalandsfoss waterfall, take the unique opportunity to walk behind the cascading water and emerge on the other side of the falls. Take fantastic photos at the 196-foot (60-meter) Skógafoss waterfall, whose copious spray produces an almost permanent double rainbow.
Along the way, visit the Solheimajokull glacier and listen to informative commentary from your local guide. At Vik, admire the charming village set below the towering cliffs, the black volcanic beaches and the impressive Reynisdrangar rock formations before heading back to Reykjavik.

Unnur the tour guide and driver Mickey were fantastic on the southern coast tour. I highly recommend Unnur as she was very informative and easy to understand and enjoyable tour. All the stops she gave us details and was very helpful on the history of Iceland and the stops. Would go on another tour with her.

Amazing experience! The bus was on time, and Solveig and Magnus were amazing guides. They reorganized the itinerary so we could walk to the glacier when it stopped raining, which I greatly appreciated!

Tour was fine, good if you are maybe traveling alone or with older people in the group. But I would not do this tour again and would not recommend this tour for young families. We were the only family on the bus, with 2 kids under 10, and the tour company does not reserve family seating so its first come first serve. Since we were the last on the bus, our kids had to sit next to strangers for a good portion of the ride with us not near them. It wasn't until I pushed for our kids to at least be allowed to sit together that I finally felt better. But this was only after very awkward exchange with some of the solo travelers and the tour guide. It made the experience not great. Also, be sure to be SUPER visible at the bus pick up. We were supposed to be picked up from our hotel at 8:30, the driver I guess didn’t see us where we were standing shielding our kids from the wind so they left and marked us as "no show" at 8:34! Didn't even call to check if we were coming or anything and when we called the tour company, they just said not our fault you need to come to bus station by 9 or we reschedule for another day. I called again and talked to another person, they agreed to wait until 9:05 only since we said we were running with our kids in arms to get there. For a trip this long, better to rent a car or find a small group that is better equipped for families.

This tour is a great and safe route to go if you plan on experiencing a unique part of Iceland especially if you’re going solo or with a friend. The mountains are glorious to experience up close, the waterfalls are breathtaking, and the small towns are fun to witness. Good value of money too if you want to get the most out of the South Coast without worrying about parking fees, planning, etc. Well worth the trip if you pair this with a trip around the Golden Circle.

Great tour with great guide.
Plenty of time in the stops to enjoy the view.
I had taken the Golden Circle tour with the same operator and wasn't as good as this one, so I'm surprised to see that this is better than the other one.

This is a fantastic whistlestop tour of several classic locations in this area. I very much enjoyed it but didn’t enjoy the amount of time spent on the bus, although that can’t be helped. I saw it as a taster trip to cram in as many experiences as possible but would have really liked to have spent more time in all of the places. The quality of the guide and information she gave was superb and the driving was to a very high level. The driver was very helpful when I asked to change the temperature in the bus as it was very warm. This and the previous days tour of the Golden Circle has given me a desire to return and spend more time in Iceland.

Iceland is a big place so a trip lasting 10 hours should give you an idea of how far it is to travel. The destinations they take you to are absolutely breathtaking and awe inspiring, however the time you are given at these places is not long enough, even an extra 10mins would make all the difference. That being said it is an experience worth having

Our tour guides Ritchie and Siggi were incredibly insightful and ensured everyone returned before setting off. They were friendly and answered any questions we had.
The weather was challenging but we managed to see everything. Don’t forget waterproofs they’re a lifesaver.
We recently travelled with bus travel Iceland (golden coast tour) but Reykjavík excursions (who provided this tour) were just a bit better.

I had a great experience on this south coast trip, with Ritchie as our guide and Siggie as our driver. Even though the group was large, everything was handled smoothly and in a friendly way. We saw all the highlights as planned, including two waterfalls, a glacier, and the black sand beach.
Despite the bad weather, I really enjoyed the scenery. The second waterfall on the way back felt unreal—we were lucky to see it taller and wider than usual. Since this was my last day in Iceland, it was a wonderful way to end the trip and left me feeling very happy.

This was a great tour, we got to see so many things. We left from the bus terminal and got on a big bus. I wish it would have been a smaller group tour, but that was on me for not reading the fine print. The tour guide was great and he told a mix of fun stories, and interesting facts about Iceland. The waterfalls were beautiful and the guide was more than willing to help take photos. Vik was a great spot to stop for lunch and stroll on the black sand beach. The next stops at the beach and Glacier were great too. Overall a very enjoyable tour that fits in a lot of fun sites!

Departure was punctual and easy, though there was some confusion with some members of the group having booked an “adventure” (eg kayaking), which meant that they were dropped off part-way through and picked up later.
We saw lots of sights and, in our view, those who went on the “adventures” missed the best, including the black beach with lots of puffins and basalt columns.
The longest drive without stopping was about 1h45m, so take that into account as there are no toilets on board. There are plenty of food options at stops along the way for lunch. Make sure to keep to time when it comes to each stop - the tour includes a lot of driving and sights to fit in on a tight turnaround. For example, if you wish to view the first waterfall from both the top and the bottom, you’ll need to walk up those steps very quickly!
In terms of the tour, our guide gave lots of information about the landscape and history. The practicalities of being on a large coach meant that it was not particularly easy to ask questions, so it was more of a monologue.
Overall, not our favourite tour we’ve ever done, but a useful way to see the south of Iceland in a day from Reykjavík without your own car.
P.S. As the email confirmation advises, walking boots, waterproofs and layers are essential!

This tour was a great way to visit a lot of south points of interest in one day. Pick up and drop off from the cruise terminal was a little confusing as first we had to get on a transfer bus and moved to a terminal. Once there, we were moved to a van that was kind of small. When we arrived the van was full, so we were not able to sit together. After a while some passengers moved so we could accommodate better. That being said, the tour was still worth it. The guide was not overly friendly, she was a little dry but she did try her best to accommodate as many locations as possible despite de rainy weather conditions.

The highlights on this tour were visits to the majestic “Skogafoss Waterfalls,”“Reynisfjara’s” famous black sand beach, and a stop in “Vik” (Iceland’s southern most village) for a late lunch at the “Ice Cave Bistro.” After lunch we visited the “Solheimajokull” glacier and the “Seljalandsfoss” waterfalls, before heading back to Reykjavik.

The weather cooperated so all the stops were great. But the best part of the trip was listening to our driver, Docci. His detailed explanation of the geography, geology and history of Iceland was amazing. He added personal stories to make it all special. He is a great ambassador for Iceland.
