What are people saying about Pompeii

Wheelchair Tourist
I use a manual wheelchair full time. The first thing to say is Pompeii is accessible enough and if you can, do a private tour. Your guide will walk you thru the accessible spots and you'll spend less time back tracking. The streets are crowded and our guide worked with the other guides to clear a path whenever we came up to a crowd. You will need some upper body strength to move thru all of pompeii. It was much easier with my Free Wheel that kept my front wheels elevated. Without it a lot of wheelies would be needed. Second, if you don't use a wheelchair, still get a private tour if you can! We learned so much and the time flew by, guided by Claudia. She had so many interesting stories about the places, the history, and had a passion for it all that was infectious. We did a 3hr tour and we ended arou.d the center of town but did cover a ton in that time. After lunch my wife and I explored on our own, and with the lessons Claudia provided, we could see so much more than if we were on our own all day. It was such an amazing experience!

A fantastic family friendly experience
Pompeii is super busy and I wouldn’t have wanted to attempt the queues with four young children without this tour. Marina was amazing with our kids! She judged their capabilities really well and showed us just the right amount of things within walking distance for them all…four children under nine. Her knowledge was incredible. I couldn’t recommend booking this tour more! Thank you!

This was such a great...
This was such a great experience. It’s a HUGE city and this tour gives you the 2 hour brief highlights (PERFECT for those who lose interest or grow tired beyond a few hours). You get the history and the fun, but since the city is huge, it would be so hard to navigate and enjoy alone. Do this trip!! And our guide, I believe her name was Marilyn & I apologize if I’m incorrect, was so fun and great at her job!! Loved it

Guided tour of Pompeii
A very well-organised tour, with our guide Antonio keeping us informed right up until the beginning of the tour. He lead us around the ruins enthusiastically and with a wealth of knowledge. His sense of humour was an added bonus! We particularly enjoyed seeing the most recent excavations and listening to Antonio’s informative explanations. We would recommend purchasing a Pompeii Plus ticket to access additional parts of the ruins.

Not seeing something you are looking for?

The enormous expanse of Pompeii is hard to grasp until you see it firsthand, so it can be overwhelming to visit without a good guide. Pompeii private sightseeing tours can be tailored to your specific interests, and they typically come with skip-the-line access to avoid long wait times at the entrance. You can even book a private tour with an archaeologist as your guide to get a unique understanding of the historical significance of the discoveries, as well as the ongoing excavation work. Choose a private sightseeing tour of Pompeii to make the most out of your visit.
