3-minute walk from Kintetsu Osaka Uehommachi Station. Take Exit 11 and walk straight along Uemachi-suji Avenue. After a short walk, you will see the Sazanka on your right. The building has a hair salon called aini on the first floor. Sazanka is located on the second floor of that building.

My wife, daughter, and I had such a beautiful experience here. From getting to pick out our Kimono pieces, to trying our hand at writing some calligraphy, to learning how to carry out the traditional tea ceremony and making our own tea, every aspect of the evening was so enjoyable and insightful. Our host was very warm and kind and took so many great photos and videos for us that we now get to cherish! Definitely will be recommending this experience to friends who visit Osaka in the future.

This traditional tea ceremony in Osaka was absolutely amazing! It was such a beautiful and welcoming experience, and one of the highlights of our time in Japan.
I got to wear a beautiful kimono, and they helped me get dressed and properly put it on. I felt so pretty and truly felt like I was experiencing a special part of Japanese culture. My son was also dressed in traditional Japanese clothing, and he had such a great time.
We learned about the tea ceremony and even had the opportunity to practice Japanese calligraphy. Everything was very educational, but it never felt overwhelming. The hosts were incredibly kind, patient, and welcoming, and they made us feel comfortable throughout the entire experience.
At the end, we enjoyed delicious matcha and traditional Japanese sweets. It was such a lovely way to finish the experience.
I would absolutely recommend this to anyone visiting Osaka. Getting dressed in traditional clothing, learning calligraphy, experiencing the tea ceremony, and sharing it all with my son made this a really special memory that I will always treasure. 🇯🇵🍵

Absolutely fantastic experience. Miko was phenomenal and really Patient with us. She took the time to dress us all and talk to us through the whole T ceremony, including all my relentless questions and then the calligraphy was amazing with her taking time Patient to talk us through the technique.

This was such a special experience for my adult daughter and I, and the team here were exceptional! From helping us select the perfect Kimonos for each of us, helping us dress in them, the patience and encouragement during our calligraphy lesson and the peaceful atmosphere of the tea ceremony- it couldn’t have been a more perfect experience overall. Perfect exposure to key aspects of Japanese culture (calligraphy and the tea ceremony) while ensuring fun time in traditional dress. Our hostess, Sachi, was so friendly and knowledgeable. Loved this activity. The location was easy to find. It was such a beautiful calm and peaceful experience. We felt incredibly glammed up in our kimonos and hair styling. The tea ceremony was very spirital and we sort of mastered the calligraphy and had excellent tuition. It is close to a shopping centre for lunch and shopping afterwards.

This is an excellent way to experience a few traditional Japanese traditions in a very welcoming and cosy environment. The hosts spoke English so it was very interactive. My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed it and would highly recommend. If you're unsure just book it and see for yourself.

I have done a tea ceremony before in Tokyo, but I was here on a trip with my mum and wanted to go one step further.
We dressed up, did calligraphy (we tried at least haha) and had an amazing tea ceremony.
Mika was wonderful! She knew her stuff, was warm, polite and very informative of the Japanese crafts.
You must try, it was one of the best tea ceremony / Japanese culture experiences you can do!

My friend and I had a great time getting fitted for kimonos, trying our hands at calligraphy, and learning about the history and significance of the tea ceremony. Our hosts were also very warm and welcoming. I would highly recommend this activity if you’re looking to experience a little Japanese culture during your visit.

This was an amazing experience! I got to choose a beautiful kimono, complete with hair styling, then enjoyed a calligraphy session where I created a fan to take home. The highlight was the tea ceremony—it felt like entering another world, learning step by step while savoring tea and sweets.
