Great small group tour of Zaanse Schanse
Caroline was pleasant, shared stories and history of Zaanse Schanse. Useful to have a guide connect what you see with the history of the place through stories. Our group of 15 people made this a much nicer experience due to more personal attention from our guide and the ability to mingle with your fellow travellers. All the while enjoying the historic windmills, clog making workshop, cheese making tour. Quite a touristy and busy location, but well worth a visit

Wonderful fast-paced but low-key day around small Dutch Towns!
Great experience - such cute towns ! The stops were a little rushed to see everything but gave you a small taste of the culture and feeling of the stop. We had Laura as our guide and she was great - informative. Talks a lot (she'll appreciate that joke) - she tells you lots about the Netherlands and the culture and people. The Dutch towns you visit are wonderful. We went to the cheese market and the church was open - super special. The cheese market was fun - Def visit the chocolate shop in Edam - it's super cool !!!!! The walk around Marken was my favorite. Lovely little island. The fish (called Kibbeling) in Voldendam was UNREAL. Best fried fish I've ever had !!! Delicious garlic mayo sauce with them. Yum! Enjoy the trip - you see a LOT in a half day - the cruise at the end was a nice finish and it dropped us off in Central Amsterdam which is perfect for walking around, shopping or going home for a nap (I crashed hard! Long day!) thanks Laura - it was lovely!

The tour guide was...
The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and setting the context is extremely necessary for understanding the plight of the Frank family. I was surprised at the amount of walking. Even though our guide walked slowly, the tour covers a lot of turf. This is not for the weak.

Fantastic Scenic Cruise of Amsterdam with Great Snacks, Drinks, and Captain-Provided Narration
OVERVIEW: We met our tour guide right on time at an easy-to-find location. Captain Charlie greeted us and was personable, eager for questions, and happy to show off the city and her navigation skills cruising through the canals. She seemed genuinely invested in ensuring we had a pleasant time. As we cruised we got to enjoy a variety of drinks, snack on a local cheese plate, and try some cute little stroopwafels. HIGHLIGHT: It was the perfect sized boat – not too many and also not too few, felt lively and social. Also, seeing the buildings from the water's point of view was a unique perspective. DRAWBACK: The boat we were in was covered, so sometimes views of buildings were a bit tough but this is such a small thing don't let it discourage you. TIPS: • The cheese board is more of a snack, not a meal. Make sure you heat something substantial before enjoying the drinks. • Book an evening slot (we did 8pm for summertime and it was perfect).

Netherlands tours focus on art museums, history, waterways, and natural landscapes in a country known for its vibrant cities and natural beauty. Along with dozens of expert-led Amsterdam explorations, you can find Netherlands tours that showcase the small country’s windmills, porcelain, and tulips fields in spring, or more food-focused excursions that let you sample smoked sausage, creamy Gouda, pickled herring, stroopwafels, and plenty of Heineken.
