From start to finish this visit has been extraordinary!
We were worried about the experience and journey before and after the tulip park, but everything exceeded our expectations. And here’s why! This is Holland was very easy to locate and has a wide range of food for you to purchase before entering on your journey. The staff for Hop on and Off and organisation have been wonderful! We booked our tickets for 10AM but were able to get on to the 9AM bus as it wasn’t too crowded. I would recommend you to book an earlier ticket to avoid rushing, and the Keukenhof gardens actually can require you to take the entire day for you to really appreciate the views and individual tulips and the entire park itself. It truly felt like we were Alice in Wonderland, everywhere you looked there were fully bloomed tulips — 15th April is a good time to go as most flowers are on show. There’s also individual flower shows too such as orchids and different variations of tulips. Also seeing Miffy was the highlight of my trip, my idol! Everything is so beautiful and lovely I would recommend this trip to everybody. The bus journey back was so sweet and very educational, big shout out to I believe his name was Eric or Evan who drove us back to Amsterdam, I’ve learnt a handful of facts about the culture and laughed a lot. A lovely way to the end the magical trip. Thank you for such an extraordinary experience.

It only happens once a year but, if you are in Amsterdam when it happens, GO. The flowers are magnificent. The setting is peaceful yet lively. We were there on the last day and it was still gorgeous.

The tour agency was located conveniently near the train station so it was easy to get to. The round trip bus ride made the keukenhoff an easy day trip from the Amsterdam city center. It was early in the season to see the flowers, but there was still a lot bloomed and we had a wonderful time!

It's an absolutely amazing place to see thousands and thousands of different kinds of flowers, but once you hit May the tulips are coming to an end and it's a bit obvious.

The Gardens were beautiful and worth the trip. However the hop on hop off travel was bit disorganized. Waiting for the bus was crowded and the buses were late causing backups.

I’ll divide this excursion review into two parts as they differ in my rating. First, the Keukenhof. Absolutely phenomenal for those who enjoys beautiful parklike settings with incredible garden displays. Don’t miss this part. On its own, my rating would be five star. The second part is the transportation. The buses are of nice quality and condition and offer a comfortable ride. The big negative for this portion is the staff’s demeanor which is bordering on unfriendly and disorganized. We had a 10am departure time but did not leave until after 10:30, yet we had been shuffled outside to wait while the buses arrived late. The staff organizing the loading were gruff and they had no interest in the customers other than getting us out of their area. If you do this excursion, you’ll have a wonderful time at Keukenhof but curse doing it with this company.

We went with This Is Holland Hop on Hop Off tour company. Very easy to find the meeting point In Amsterdam. Was easy to find them afterwards in a sea of tour buses. The gardens itself was phenomenal and wished we were there several days earlier but we were on a cruise.
I highly recommend going to the gardens.

Keukenhof is a wonderful garden. At this time of year, early May, the tulips were beautiful along with many other spring flowers such as daffodils, rhododendrons, azaleas. It was a place where one can wander around for hours if wanted.
Getting there and returning to Amsterdam was very easy.

A must see. The gardens are beautiful (visited 1st week of May) but need to visit earlier to see all the tulips in bloom (March/April).
Still many of the tulips were flowering but unfortunately the tulip fields passed on the journey to the gardens & at the gardens had finished.

If you are in Amsterdam during Tulip season you have to go to Keukenhof! I recommend this shuttle bus for ease of travel. You choose a time, show up, hop on a bus and its smooth sailing. Then you can stay as long as you want and catch a bus home every 30 minutes. It may look like long lines but they move quick and have plenty of buses. Well organized. Pictures do not do it justice!!
