Windmills and small towns

This was a great day tour. Pretty scenery, plenty of time to explore areas on our own at the major stops. Towns we visited are charming, and the lunch recommendation we received from Xavier was great. Xavier made the trip even more enjoyable...funny, respectful and helpful. Our driver, Rumi (?), was also great. Overall a fun memorable experience

Worth it! Martina was THE BEST!

Martina was AQWESOME. She came fully prepared with an ipad with detailed photos and additional graphics that really helped us understand the artists and their work. She also encouraged us to step closer to the paintings and artwork (within reason) without feeling like we were imposing on the other guests around us. She was by far, the best guide we have ever had. Her tour was lecture worthy. Both my fiance and I tipped her! Fair warning though: due to time constraints, the tour wont cover all floors of the museum.

A day at Van Gogh Museum !

It was a great experience. We had the self guided tour which we paid in advance. If you did not you would need to pay for the audio equipment at the museum. The self guided y Tour was very easy to navigate. It’s crowded but you can’t get lost. We learned a lot about Van Gough life. To see the art collection up and close was amazing! The gift shops are great. Make sure you bring money for souvenirs!

Well worth it!

This was one of the highlights of my brief trip to amsterdam. Yoshi was our guide and was outstanding. His knowledge not only of the Anne Frank story and of Amsterdam in WWII, but also of the deeper history of WWII and of Holland in general added unexpected dimensions to my understanding of Amsterdam. His enthusiasm for history and his dynamic way of presenting it all made this a completely enjoyable and memorable slow stroll through Amsterdam! On top of that, he was kind and attentive to the needs of everyone in the group.

A great way to learn about the city

A really informative and relaxed way to see Amsterdam from a different viewpoint. So much more peaceful than touring on foot, and with the knowledge and good humour of our guide Menno, we learned a lot about all sorts of aspects of the city, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions. Great small group tour of Zaanse Schanse

Caroline was pleasant, shared stories and history of Zaanse Schanse. Useful to have a guide connect what you see with the history of the place through stories. Our group of 15 people made this a much nicer experience due to more personal attention from our guide and the ability to mingle with your fellow travellers. All the while enjoying the historic windmills, clog making workshop, cheese making tour. Quite a touristy and busy location, but well worth a visit

Getting onto this was an...

Getting onto this was an awful experience. We showed up at our scheduled departure time to find out the boat was “full”. What? The guy made a “call” and we were told to catch the next one 20 min later but apparently these two guys are well known for taking people who didn’t have the time slot anyways. But through luck we wound up with Claire and Elizabeth who were extraordinary! So I’m convinced fate stepped in. We also got a free drink for our troubles. They explained the “boys” from the other boat are well known for letting anyone from any time slot into their boat and they’ve actually complained about them too. But Claire was a hilarious tour guide and Elizabeth was an amazing boat captain. So I feel like the mistake worked out for the best anyways!

Great cruise especially at night time.

Canal cruise was very enjoyable. The host/guide who also handled all the refreshments did a great job providing information and assuring the drinks and cheese were plentiful. Doing the cruise at night and seeing all the bridges lite up was spectacular. It was well worth it.

The rain couldn’t slow us down!

Abel was fantastic! We absolutely loved this 2 hour canal ride. Absolutely the best! It was raining and when Abel pulled up to dock in the classiest boat with a clear cover, I knew it was going to be the BEST tour. He gave a wonderful explanation of all the wine, beer and beverage choices. Lots of fun history and facts.
