Viator said they could switch our date and sent a confirmation. We never got an email that said it did not go through. Viator was not helpful but the Museum was awesome
Our guide cancelled on us the day beforehand. We were refunded but had to book another day with different company
They cancelled on me late the night before a 9am session. I had come to Amsterdam mainly for this exhibition so it was really disappointing.
Wonderful art immersion. Learned so much about Van Gogh and his influences through the audio tour. Highly recommended.
My flights were cancelled due to a mechanical issue with the plane. I didn’t make it to Amsterdam. Company would not give me a refund or credit for future visits

Your museum tickets had already been issued under the booking’s non-refundable terms. Unfortunately, this meant we could not offer a refund or credit for a future visit, even though your travel disruption was outside your control.

After setting up a booking with you and relying on that to plan the rest of my day, including other museum bookings, I received a message from you that a technical problem prevented you from being able to get me into the Van Gogh museum, and offering Sept 27 instead, which did me no good since I was flying home that day.

The booking was canceled a night before my scheduled visit. My husband and I were at the museum entrance when we realized that Viator send me a message that my booking was canceled due to technical difficulties. Im still waiting for the refund.

Didn’t realize Van Gogh was such a prolific artist
The Van Gogh museum, with audio guide, is a must-do when in Amsterdam. The staff were super helpful and the exhibit was amazing. I do recommend the audio guide as you learn so much about Van Gogh, his life and art.
Museum is fabulous. Knew all his famous works. Never knew the volume of his work! A painting a day is unreal.
The voucher did not come through my phone. The people at the museum were very rude and not helpful AT ALL. What we were told was that I would have to connect with the website and take up the problem with them. Well, it was pouring down rain, I was outside, and no one was helping me at all. I could not get through to ANY ONE on viator.com. So, to me your company stinks and I will post all the negative reviews I find a space to do just that. NEVER, EVER your website for ANYTHING. Such a disappointment. If there were negative stars, I would select 1 million of them.

Very comprehensive look at the life and work of Van Gogh. He was such a prolific painter in such a short period of time. The contrast between early paintings of peasants and Impressionistic work in Paris is striking.
I would suggest not going on a weekend. The museum was full and it was difficult to see the paintings. But the experience with Viator went very smoothly.
Incredible experience to be so close to his life and works of art. I learned a lot about him as a person and an artist. It’s a thorough and complete experience to be sure. But be prepared for big crowds! It was wall to wall packed!
The museum is very nice and well laid out. All the people working there were very helpful as well!! For me however, it was very very busy and I would rather pay more money for tickets if they could limit the amount of people that are allowed to go in. That would make it a much nicer experience. For some of the more popular paintings, there was a gathering of say 20-30 people that would stand and take selfies in front of the picture and it was difficult to appreciate the paintings with everyone trying to get into a position to see the painting and take their selfie.
Be prepared for the crowds. People standing in front of the paintings taking selfies, kissing, not moving on
Easy ride on hop on hop off bus. Great and reasonably priced lunch. You will be able to see it all in one day
The audio tour was excellent. It gave you a lot insight to his art work from the portraits to the colours he used at the end.
With long queues it was worthwhile having tickets before arrival. Good museum to have the audio. A step into Van Gogh’s life. Excellent.
The Bol cocktail experience is across the street and I highly recommend you do a museum and that venue in conjunction.

Tour was very easy to navigate. It’s crowded but you can’t get lost. We learned a lot about Van Gough life. To see the art collection up and close was amazing! The gift shops are great. Make sure you bring money for souvenirs!

Highly recommend!! A beautiful museum. One note though - we paid extra for the audio guide. Even though we chose to do the extensive audio guide tour, the extra money was not worth the audio guide. Most of what's on the audio guide tour is already written on the walls. There's no need to pay extra for the audio guide tour. Aside from that, the experience was absolutely perfect. We love Van Gogh.
The tickets worked well in conjunction with the audio tour. Brilliant artist! The audio portion enhanced the experience and allowed us to browse at our own pace.
We had a good time and a great idea on a rainy day. You will learn so much about his life and quest to develop a new style painting. You will get an incredibly detailed look at his life and his work. This was the most complete Van Gogh exhibit we have every experienced.
The audio guide was very helpful and the artwork was amazing. I would definitely recommend this tour. Do not go to Amsterdam without visiting the Van Gogh museum.
