Dreamy castle viewing experience!
Gerta was a great guide! I enjoyed her enthusiasm and love for history. My friends and I opted for no castle entry and just used our free time to wander around the castles and the lake! The views were amazing and it truly felt like I was stepping into a fairytale world. The only thing I would say could make this tour better would be more time to wander through Oberammergau. It was such a cute village!

A day enjoying the unbelievable Neuschwanstein and Linderhof Castles & Oberammergau
This was an extremely enjoyable and well planned trip. We were both very pleased with our guide Ursula. She is an amazing person and a wealth of knowledge. Ursula has a great sense of humor and really wants everyone on the trip to have a lot of fun and to be informed. She provides information about Germany and the history of events that pertain to the stops on the tour. She has researched and provides visual aids to tie everything together. This was our first trip to Europe; and this tour was a definite highlight of our trip. The 3 main stops were all incredible. Our driver (not sure of the correct pronunciation/spelling of his name) was great. He definitely takes his job seriously and all of the people on our bus were well aware of his commitment. Our group was ready to go before the scheduled departure time so we left early. I'm sure everyone was pleased to get an early start due to the length of the itinerary. The snacks and water provided were a plus. I don't typically drink beer; but returning to the bus after the last stop and being offered a beer made me smile. I enjoyed that cold beer very much. (that was the only beer I drank on our vacation :) ). My husband enjoyed beer every day in Germany; and especially the one on this bus tour. We both were grateful to have access to a bathroom on the bus. Thank you for everything.

VIP tour to castle
This is the only way to see the castle. The VIP tour was worth the money. Ursela was a wonderful tour guide. She gave us a really great bit of history of Germany and the area on the way to the castle and the way she tells the story of Ludwig is enthralling and interesting. Since the bus was a small group of 26 she was able to get our group off the bus at Neushwanstein Castle and then onto the bus up the hill ($3.50 euro extra per person) cash only) to Maria’s bridge and tell us where and when to take the best pictires. She had us to the castle tour on time and clear concise instructions where when to meet back to bus for next Castle visit and town visit. She really made it so interesting. I usually fall asleep but couldn’t although she did leave some time on the way back for us to take a short nap. This was an amazing day and she had it so organized and stress free. I would highly recommend this tour especially with Ursula and the snacks on the VIP bus were very good. The bus driver was good also Mr Seanut!

From beer hall-hopping to World War II history and food-tasting at the Christmas markets, Munich tours run the gamut of Bavarian history and heritage. Exploring the city can be done on foot, by bike, by Segway, or on a hop-on hop-on bus, and guided visits can show you a side of town only locals get to see. Most day and multi-day tours of Bavaria start from Munich, so there’s plenty to experience beyond the city limits, too. Immerse yourself in the fairy-tale scenery of Neuschwanstein Castle, visit medieval villages along the Romantic Road, or venture deep into the Bavarian Alps.
