Fairytale Adventure

Both castles were beautiful. Linderhof Palace had an over the top, gorgeous, ostentatious interior. Unfortunately they do not allow photos to be taken of the interior. Neuschwanstein sets up high on a hill surrounded by gorgeous mountains. 40 minute walk uphill followed by 150 steps climbed in the castle to begin tour. 20 min walk back down. I was really looking forward to hiking to the Marie Bridge for photos from that vantage but there was too much snow and the trail and bridge were closed. Driver and guide were outstanding. An abundance of snacks and drinks were offered including freshly brewed coffee by our driver after touring the first castle. The bus was clean, modern and very comfortable.

This is a very sobering tour. Takes 5 hours from start to finish. Our guide Sam was very good. His delivery is spot on - he doesn't pretend to judge - the facts are presented, but in a very dignified manner and with emotion. He has great knowledge of his subject, and delivers this knowledge extremely well. He describes the events and the facts, giving you time to think - we were very moved as this was a terrible place and some of what happened here is quite hard to comprehend. I'd recommend this tour to anyone. It isn't for the faint-hearted, but it is important that we don't forget the almost casual cruelty meted out in places such as this. Thank you Sam, highly recommended.

Wonderful Winter Wonderland of Fairy Tale Castles

Long day but well worth it. Check weather as Shuttle bus doesn’t run in snow & Marie’s Bridge was closed too so it was a bit of a hike but excellent path meant even though I have some mobility issues…still made it to the top!! Dimitrii & Marius were excellent team, good interesting & informative commentary added to the experience & the lunch restaurant recommendation was also really nice & reasonably priced

Maxine was great! She was funny and engaging. Told us much about the history of Salzburg and the famous people who were born and lived there. She invited us to dine at the oldest restaurant possibly in the world and we had the most memorable meal of our trip there. Maxine gave us a great start and when we had open time we had the information we needed to get to where we wanted to go. She was a wonderful guide.

Great day visitng Ludwig's castles

Excellent tour. We ordered the VIP experience and our seats were reserved for us with bags of snacks on our seats. Made us feel special! Our guide Sabine was so helpful and knowledgeable. Felt very safe with our driver, Mr K. The two castles are definitely worth visiting. Highly recommend this tour.

We took our tour with Nicola who was a fantastic guide and and very knowledgeable about the rise of the Nazis and the Third Reich. This tour is very worth it if you are interested in this history as many of the sites you would go past without noticing. Nicola was also great at navigating our group through the crowds in the city. 10/10 would recommend

Wonderful tour!

Our tour guide Elisabeth and our driver were amazing! Elisabeth provided so many historical facts and really made the tour enjoyable. The scenery you get to see on this tour is unbeatable. The only thing that was disappointing for us was we did not have enough time to see the bunker after going to Eagles nest. The only place available for lunch kept us waiting for so long due to a shortage of staff that day. The food and waiter we had were great, we just missed a big chunk of the tour because of it. We would still highly recommend the tour! I’m sure this is not an issue all the time.
