Perfect day in Salzburg

Lot of walking but at a reasonable pace even for 70 +. Lots of history, great views from the fortress, museums, Mozart, sound of music . Susan our tour guide was the best.. she coordinated the train and buses . Presented all the Highlights in a clear easy to understand way had frequent breaks. After our two hour tour through the city we had approx 2 1/2 hours on our own . Susan had suggested museums to explore , places to eat Cafes to have coffee and dessert ,how to visit the fortress . Ride to and from was almost two hours each way but was well worth the views of the countryside and the Alps. Susan was always around to answer questions. Everything from start to finish was perfectly coordinated.

Beautiful place but bad overcrowded shuttle to top

Great tour but very hurried. I wish there had been a little longer on the small town on the way back and don’t miss the bus. They run on time for sure. Make a note on your phone the times to be back at each stop it’s hard to remember all their instructions. The shuttle that takes you to the top was ridiculous they make you get on like sardines standing room only. Beware if you are agoraphobic. I’m serious about how many they cram into that shuttle. I probably should have given 1 star for that. Poor planning from whoever runs the shuttles and they discourage taking the horse drawn carriage up.

Fun Day Trip

The bus is comfortable, and the tour guide was interesting and friendly. The first castle is rather small, but beautifully appointed inside. We enjoyed the village at the base of the mountain for Neuschwanstein. We did not go up to the castle because it requires too much walking for us.

Totally WORTH the money.

Tom was incredible. He was able to give the group deep details and facts about Dachau (where the concentration camp is located). It was an informative experience. Tom introduced himself well, speaking about where he was from, a little about his background & opened the door for others to get to know each other. (I actually made 2 friends, thanks Tom) Though the tour was 6hours, that includes train and bus travel to arrive. Tom also explained the train plan with the group which was helpful for me the next day as a tourist. I am really happy I booked this tour with Tom, if you are interested in history, this will not disappoint. 10/10

Fabulous experience from start to finish. Our driver and tour guide were both wonderful; educational, funny and polite. The drive was pleasant, and the tour itself was perfect! Just enough time to have a bite to eat, explore the town, do some hiking around Mary’s bridge for some amazing views of the castle, and then an indoor tour with time afterwards for souvenirs and quick beverage before heading back. I personally feel doing both castles in one day would be too rushed. 10/10 would recommend this tour!

Good mixture of sightseeing, history, culture and fun

Bus was new and clean. Well planed, got to do many things in one day which would normally not be possible if planned otherwise. Tyler is a great guide, very attentive, in a good mood and gave us useful Munich tips. The restaurant we stopped at had good quality food. Our group split into the alpine coaster and Oberammergau, both were nice additions to the castle day. Would certainly book another tour with Tyler, we had a great day (:

Wonderful tour!

Our tour guide Elisabeth and our driver were amazing! Elisabeth provided so many historical facts and really made the tour enjoyable. The scenery you get to see on this tour is unbeatable. The only thing that was disappointing for us was we did not have enough time to see the bunker after going to Eagles nest. The only place available for lunch kept us waiting for so long due to a shortage of staff that day. The food and waiter we had were great, we just missed a big chunk of the tour because of it. We would still highly recommend the tour! I’m sure this is not an issue all the time.
