If you're thinking about it, do it!

Great experience and so glad we did included it in our itinerary! The early wake-up was worth it, as we were blessed with great weather and got a full view of the Pyramids from up above. The experience was very thorough and it all felt very professional with coordinators taking care of us and guiding us along the way. Do note the extra charges for things like guided tours, photos, etc. but you can always opt out of them and they are not super pushy about purchasing it. Keep some cash on-hand to tip the tour coordinator + driver! Overall great experience and we had a great time.

An incredible experience...

An incredible experience that’s worth every penny. My fiancée is terrified of heights but the balloon basket felt very sturdy, and though untethered our pilot ensured the ride was smooth. The views are unmatched! Logistically incredibly smooth, and Barbara was a fantastic guide. We asked her to set us up with an English guided tour of the pyramids and it was worth every penny ($2000 pesos). Alejandro provided so much valuable knowledge that really enriched our experience overall

Best experience in Mexico City so much fun to do it with friends, but you could do it alone. You literally fly over the pyramids during sunrise. Mar is amazing and explain the itinerary excellently would 100% recommend and do it again. This is a must for anyone traveling to Mexico City.

Well organized and communicative about picking up ant 5am after booking. Prepaid lunch was confusing. While booking, you have the option to pre-pay for lunch. But after booking, you receive a menu to make your lunch selection with the caveat that prices are 20 to 30 pesos more than the menu. We then had to settle up in cash on the second stop after a long day. The tour operator did not have records of our prepayment, so we had to show her the booking to prove we had prepaid. Then she converted the additional charge with a lower than market exchange rate if you paid in dollars. We were also informed as we left the pools that we would all be dropped off at the Angel and responsible for our own transportation back to our hotels due to protests. One of our group slipped and broke her ankle at the pools, and the tour operator did not offer to drive her to medical care or back to her hotel. instead they deposited her on the side of the road.in an area with no seating.

This was a great tour and experience. Our guide, Ari, gave us some great information on both the Xochimilco waterways and about Frida Kahlo, which made the experience much more interesting. Seeing inside the life of Frida and also viewing some of her original works was really great.

Spectacular Sunrise Over the Pyramids

An absolute highlight of my trip to Mexico! Flying over the Teotihuacan archaeological site at sunrise was nothing short of magical. From start to finish, the entire operation was flawless. The early morning pickup from Mexico City was perfectly on time, and the crew welcomed us with warm coffee and pastries while we watched the massive balloons inflate—a spectacular sight in its own right. Once in the air, the flight was incredibly smooth and peaceful. Floating silently above the Pyramid of the Sun and the Pyramid of the Moon as the sun broke over the horizon provided a breathtaking perspective that you simply cannot get from the ground. The pilot was highly skilled, professional, and shared fascinating historical facts about the ruins below while ensuring everyone in the basket felt safe and comfortable. After landing, we were treated to a traditional sparkling wine toast, a personalized flight certificate, and a delicious breakfast buffet

The hot air ballon ride was an incredible highlight to our time in Mexico City. Our guides were very nice and although the breakfast in a cave is a bit of tourist trap, you will be hungry and it was very entertaining. Absolutely do not pass up this opportunity - the early start and drive time are totally worth it.
