The tour guide was very responsive and attentive to our needs. I would highly recommend Viator and the guide.

I really enjoyed learning some of the history of Mexico, Coyoacan, and Frida Kahlo! Our tour guide Maria was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable and we enjoyed the churros as well as the tostadas and aguas frescas on this tour! The museum itself was beautiful. We also had some free time during and after the tour to enjoy Coyoacan on our own which was nice.

Coco was an incredible guide and truly made this experience special. He was knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about Frida Kahlo, Coyoacán, and Mexican culture, but what stood out most was how warm, kind and hospitable he was. We spent a few hours walking through Coyoacán, learning about its history and local myths, stopping to eat along the way, and simply enjoying the neighborhood. Nothing felt rushed or overly scripted. It felt like exploring with someone who genuinely loves sharing his culture and city. Coco was fun to spend time with and made the entire experience feel personal and memorable. I would absolutely recommend this tour, especially with him!

10/10, the travel group was very pleasant with interesting people and the tour guide (Rosa) was a pleasure. This was a trip highlight!

If you have the opportunity to go, please do so. This was my favorite tour during our stay at CDMX. Jordan was an excellent guide who was so engaging and knowledgeable of the history of the city itself and Frida Kahlo’s life. We also enjoyed delicious churros, tostadas, and agua frescas. Casa Azul was just gorgeous, including the clothing and jewelry exhibit. This was my favorite tour during our stay. Highly recommend and try to get Jordan if you can!

Our tour guide Cris was terrific. A local to the area, an artist, great story teller and vibe (and thoughtful! She bought me a little gift at the market for my birthday!) Our group was small (6 total) and everyone was so nice. It was relaxed and well paced. She took us to delicious local spots to have snacks and we had time to roam around on our own. Ending with the museum after learning so much about Frida and the area was perfect. A highlight of our trip! Thank you so much!

Strolling through the streets of Coyoacán with Rolf and his knowledge of Mexico City, the neighbourhood and Frida’s life and context was easily one of the best experiences during our holiday. Rolf took us to different local landmarks, visited a couple of local markets and tasted local food, had the best churros ever and finished the tour at the door of the Frida Kahlo museum, the cherry on the cake! If you don’t know whether the tour is worth it - it def is! Rolf is very friendly and knowledgeable, we had a fabulous time. Thank you.

Professor Rios led a fascinatiing and well paced 3.5 hr tour of the wonderful Coyocan with food stops along the way, my ticket included entrance to Freida Kahlo home/ museum so we didn’t have to wait and a perfect way to end the tour. She is an astute and passionate story teller full of detailed information on Kahlo/Reviera but historical significance of Coyocan in Mexico and all of the Americas.

I had visited the Frida Kahlo Museum before, but exploring Coyoacán and the museum with Maria gave me a completely fresh perspective—it truly felt like my first visit all over again.
Maria is funny, knowledgeable, and incredibly engaging. She shares so much fascinating information, but in a way that’s easy to understand and genuinely captivating. I left the tour wanting to dive deeper into Mexico’s history and learn even more.
If you have a few hours in Mexico City, don’t miss this tour. It’s absolutely worth it!

Our guide, Jordan was extremely knowledgeable and made the tour fun and interesting! We also enjoyed the food tasting- especially the quesadilla con huitlacoche.

Meg was an amazing guide for the Food & Frida Kahlo Museum tour! She was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience both fun and informative. The food was delicious, and her stories about Frida Kahlo and the local culture made the tour even more special. Highly recommend this tour with Meg!

Jordan is an amazing tour guide! He’s funny, enthusiastic, and has a deep passion for Mexico City and its history. My favorite part, before the museum, was the vibrant market we went to. There were delicious eats as well. I would do this tour again. :)

My husband and I enjoyed this "experience" - tour ending at the Frida museum so much when we were in CDMX last year we wanted to do it again with our children!
Cristina launched into the history of Mexico, Coyoacan, Hernandez, and Frida Kahlo within two minutes! She provided us with a wealth of information and expansive context as our group wove our way through the beautiful tree-lined streets of Coyoacan. Cristina was knowledgeable and able to field all our questions about Frida, the city, and Mexican history. We covered a lot of ground (physically and historically) before we were dropped off (ahead of the line) at the museum’s entrance. Cristina was a great guide who helped us connect to art and the city.

I highly recommend this tour! Coco is a master storyteller and I was so impressed at how he was able to bring various time periods together to tell a story about the neighbourhood, its influences and Friday Kahlo’s place in it all. And he did this all in such a fun, well paced and eloquent way. The food choices were also intentional and I loved trying absolutely delicious dishes I had no idea about. I appreciated that Coco kept choice small so as to not overwhelm, yet there was plenty of options for those who had dietary requirements.
I realised the true value of the tour when I was in the museum because it made so much more sense to me, and gave me a deeper perspective that I wouldn’t have had if I had just gone straight to the museum.
I’m very grateful to Coco for such an inspirational experience!

It was a very interesting experience. Our guide, Alex, gave us much information about Cortes, Frida and Coyoacan. It was quite interesting to have info on Friday and Diego before visiting Casa Azul! It made for a better visit. Even our teenagers liked the visit!

Our tour guide Gabriela was fantastic and knowledgeable! Which made the whole experience so much fun!

My cousin and I booked this to experience Cayocan and the Frida Museum. Sebastian was a great guide, very knowledgeable, friendly and easy to be around. We were a small and intimate group which made walking around Cayocan easy. It is a beautiful town but much better with context provided by Sebastian. Concluding the tour with the Friday museum was a great way to end and helped us really understand and appreciate the museum even more.
Kimberly_C, Jul 2026
I would highly recommend this experience. Maria was AMAZING! She was able to explain 2000+ years of history in a way that was both captivating and made sense. My teenage daughter loved this one.
Maggie_M, Jul 2026
This was a top notch tour! Jordan was so knowledgeable and very kind and charming. I learned a lot! Our stops were timed perfectly. The food was delicious. I am very pleased!

The guide for for our group of 4, Cedrela, was a wealth of information about Mexican history and culture in general and about the life and times of Frida Kahlo specifically. We all would highly recommend this tour and this guide
alanbernstein, Jul 2026
Important background on Frida and Diego was shared. The food was delicious. So much history in this neighborhood.
Bambi_R, Jul 2026
Our guide Jenny was wonderful. She went at a great pace and fed us an awesome variety of sample foods along the way. The museum was memorable and just beautiful. The price of the tour including food and museum was a fantastic value!
Jakob_T, Jul 2026
Great and intimate tour of the city where Frida grew up. It’s about 30-50 minutes from Mexico City (Roma, Condesa area) depending on traffic. Our guide Sebastian was extremely knowledgeable and did great.
Mike_P, Jun 2026
Gabriela was very good, so informative, kind and such a good story teller. All ths snacks were great, and it was just a nice experience walking through the neighborhoods
Brian_H, Jun 2026
Totally worth it in every way. Our guide, famously self proclaimed with tricolored hair, offered a local and cultural experience. Would book again in a heart beat. Do it, you last minute, didnt plan ahead foreigner. Book this for the tickets, but be pleasantly suprised with the tour.
Rashida_B, Jun 2026
Our tour guide, Rosa, was punctual and informative about Mexico City. She was extremely patient with first time visitors to Mexico City and has a great sense of humor. All of the meals we sampled on the tour were absolutely delicious! A very memorable experience
Chris_D, Jun 2026
Cristina was a fantastic guide. We learned so much about the area and Frida and we really enjoyed all of the food along the way. This was a really beneficial way to get into the museum.

The tour guide does not go into the Kahlo museum with you - it’s already stated, but wanted to lead off with that.
Having said that, do take this tour. Our guide, Rosa, was amazing, and a source of knowledge & history, not just about Kahlo, but about the history, especially of Cayoacan.
I felt like I knew enough about Kahlo and her life even before I set foot in the museum. The museum is pretty special, and so are the grounds, and the garden, courtyard, outside the structure of the house.
Besides the history, and the museum, we stopped by around the markets of the town, saw parks, for history of the church.
Bites of tostada and churro, and a burrito too, I believe.
All in all, a very good choice!
