This was my first time doing a hot air balloon ride, and it was absolutely amazing and breathtaking! Flying over the pyramids at sunrise was an unforgettable experience – the views were stunning, with the sun rising and lighting up the ancient structures below. It felt magical and surreal.
Our guide, Raol (I hope I spelled his name correctly!), was very nice, friendly, knowledgeable, and super accommodating. He did his best to make this one of my best experiences in Mexico – from explaining things along the way to ensuring everyone felt comfortable and safe.
If you're in Mexico City and want a truly unique adventure, this is a must-do. 5 stars all the way! 🎈🌅

The hot air ballon ride was an incredible highlight to our time in Mexico City. Our guides were very nice and although the breakfast in a cave is a bit of tourist trap, you will be hungry and it was very entertaining. Absolutely do not pass up this opportunity - the early start and drive time are totally worth it.

It was on time and professional
The early morning CDMX pickup was smooth, arriving within 5 to 10 minutes of the scheduled time. The hot air balloon flight itself was absolutely breathtaking, with a very smooth takeoff and landing.
Breakfast at La Cueva Teotihuacán was a really unique setting, and the live performance was great. Tip: definitely ask for hot sauce—trust me on this one! However, I wish there was more transparency about the food options. There is only one fixed meal option where you simply choose your protein.
Since I've visited before, I opted to skip the Teotihuacán pyramids. It would be amazing if the provider included an "interested / not interested" toggle for the ruins to help group like-minded passengers together. Tip: If you do skip the pyramids, bring a book or music to occupy yourself while others explore.
My only real issue was a minor communication issue. Responses were delayed, and I didn't get my pickup time until almost 10:00 PM the night before. I think it could be helpful to add an automated text or email right after booking that says: "Booking confirmed! We are finalizing logistics and will send your exact pickup time by X day/time."
Overall, it was really good. I'm ready to do it again, and I would highly recommend it.
We had an amazing time! The whole experience was so much fun and definitely something we’ll remember. Carlos was our tour guide and he was super nice, funny, and easy to get along with. He made the trip even more enjoyable and kept the mood fun the whole time. The balloon ride was beautiful, and having breakfast in the cave was such a unique experience. Definitely recommend! 🎈😊
The balloon ride and cave breakfast were great, and everything was well organized. However, we weren't told in advance about the mezcal demonstration and pyramid stop.
Since we weren't interested in those activities, having to wait for the rest of the group was not ideal. Better communication and the option to leave after breakfast would greatly improve the experience.
I absolutely loved this tour! Everything was very well organized, from the transportation to the hot air balloon ride and all the activities throughout the day.
The balloon ride over Teotihuacán was an incredible experience, and visiting the pyramids afterward was amazing as well. I also really enjoyed the mezcal tasting and having breakfast inside a cave — both were such unique experiences.
Our guide was incredibly kind, helpful, and friendly, which made the whole experience even better. Overall, it was an unforgettable day and I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Mexico City!

Early start but worth getting there for sunrise and no traffic. Carlos, our “tour guide” didn’t really seem interested in anything except getting us to cut our tour short - not much information about the places we visited and didn’t seem to care much about sharing about the places we visited. Aside from this, the photos and drone videos were awesome of the balloon ride and the breakfast in the cave was great. Ride back to Mexico City was 1.5 hr (50 min there) with a very nice driver who was trustable. We didn’t visit and enter the architerctural zone. The stop at the shop was not very useful in terms of items (overpriced), but the lady gave us a good intro in the key plants used for a variety of purposes. Carlos was the reason we didn’t give this 5 starts, as would have wanted a more attentive tour guide.
Overall hot air balloon experience was okay, wind wasn't in our favor and we didn't get to see much (I've been here before with other groups).
The biggest issue we had was with the driver. The company got us on a really terrible van, which I assumed was a contracted/outsourced driver. On top of having no air conditioning the whole time, the driver also ran multiple red lights and ignore traffic signs which made it very unsafe for passengers. Also his car had multiple engine lights on indicating the vehicle wasn't safe to operate anyways.
I hope the company can find better drivers or vehicles for their customer, really takes away the experience.
Amazing! The whole tour - the balloon ride, cave breakfast, and some drinks - were organized and a ton of fun. Our guide Carlos was knowledgeable and kept everything light.
A wonderful experience for our first time in Mexico City! Everything was taken care of very smoothly, from pick up to drop off. Really appreciated the morning coffee & breakfast components as well!

Absolutely incredible experience! We booked just the balloon flight but decided to join the breakfast in a cafe portion too and it was great. Carlos is a great guide and if we could do it over again we would have booked the entire package - getting an Uber was very, very difficult at 4:30AM.

Guide was really good as well as the driver.
The only small issue we had was that we didn't know that they pick you up at your hotel, but drop you off at a different location. Again, we just didn't realize it was a thing that could happen so we assumed we were going to be dropped off where we were pick up. Now we know, we will always check ahead of booking in the future.

This experience is extremely well planned. 6 of us joined from Roma Norte in Mexico, we got pick up from Airbnb. Our ride to hot air balloon was very smooth, drive felt really safe.
We were greeted by Raul at the spot, our hot air balloon ride started right on time. It was breathtaking. Breakfast was average but the overall breakfast in cave was worth it.
They also took us to a market place which can be skiped but it doesn’t take too long.
We were taken at pyramids of teotihuacan, we climbed one of the pyramids.
We were back to Roma by 2.30pm
Amazing time with my family! Very coordinated experience which i appreciated. Our driver was SO COOL!! He would drive us from each location and was so knowledgeable on Mexico which my family enjoyed. Overall 10/10

Really well organised from start to finish, our tour guide Carlos was very nice. The hot air balloon ride was absolutely wonderful and we were one of the first in the air to watch the sunrise.
Every detail was thought of to make the day special. All the staff were friendly and welcoming and did everything to make the experience fun.

This trip exceeded expectations. Flying up in a balloon with many others was spectacular. It felt magical flying over the pyramids and then walking to them following breakfast in the volcano cave.
