This was my first time doing a hot air balloon ride, and it was absolutely amazing and breathtaking! Flying over the pyramids at sunrise was an unforgettable experience – the views were stunning, with the sun rising and lighting up the ancient structures below. It felt magical and surreal. Our guide, Raol (I hope I spelled his name correctly!), was very nice, friendly, knowledgeable, and super accommodating. He did his best to make this one of my best experiences in Mexico – from explaining things along the way to ensuring everyone felt comfortable and safe. If you're in Mexico City and want a truly unique adventure, this is a must-do. 5 stars all the way! 🎈🌅

This trip exceeded expectations. Flying up in a balloon with many others was spectacular. It felt magical flying over the pyramids and then walking to them following breakfast in the volcano cave. The trip is very well organised. The breakfast was delicious. The tequila & mezcal tasting was very informative. We were really glad we did it. Our host for the whole experience was called Carlos. He was very charasmatic and knew a lot of information.

Great trip. Pick up was on time. Had a drive out to location. Arrived early enough to see the glow up of the balloons. The was a professional photographer on site that had us pose for pictures and someone else to fly a drone to capture us. We went up right near sunrise which made for amazing view/ pictures and the flight over the ruins. WOW. From there we went to breakfast, inside the CAVE was cool, breakfast itself, ehh. Afterwards we were taken to a Pulque/Mezcal tasting, that seems most of the tour was unaware it was happening. Then the time at the ruins. I specifically chose THIS tour because it showed the longest time ("up to 2 hours") vs the other tours of 60-90 min at the ruins. Sadly after the alcohol tasting the guide was asking the group if they wanted to go to ruins since that was optional and most of the group decided that 1 hr was plenty of time. I felt I got jipped out of the 2nd hour of the time. On the ground the temples are further apart than they seem in the air. You have time to rush over to climb temple of the moon and run by the backside of the temple of the sun to take a few pics and back in the transport.

Hot Air Balloon over Pyramids

Im afraid of heights but this was such a smooth gradual upward movement with so much to see . Before I knew it we were airborne and it was peaceful and a breathtaking experience. Definitely bucket list. Landing was so much a glide and no jarring feeling. It was great!! Highly recommended

The Ride was really smooth and safe, totally something from my bucket list that I wanted to do for a long time and it was amazing. The staff was very informative all the time about what we were doing in every stop, definitely a recommended experience to live at least once in life. Breakfast was ok, nothing impressive, although I ordered a dessert (extra cost) and it was really good so I guess if you pay separated you could get better food. The pyramids tour was about an hour (majority vote) but for us 1 hr was barely for the first part of the ruins, we didn't even got to see everything, it took us almost 20 minutes to go around the Sun pyramid, and now I wonder if the people from our tour even bother to know a little more about the ruins than just taking pictures, so if you go with a large group make sure you push to be fair for everyone to enjoy the best possible

Fun trip, but misleading itinerary...

The experience was very entertaining overall. We saw lots of unique things, like the hot air balloon ride and how mezcal is made. However, the driver was very rude and clearly did not want to be there. Also, the itinerary implies you will have two hours to explore the pyramids; the guide only gave us one, which is only enough to see one of the pyramids from where they drop you off. Two hours would have been the perfect amount. We could not go to the museum there or learn about the history in such a short amount of time.

The early wake up was so with the experience. It was our first time doing this especially in another country. Our pilot was extremely knowledgeable and experienced. The ride was soo smooth! We felt safe at all times and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We then ate at a cave restaurant but unfortunately the food lacked flavor and the service was awful. Our driver Romm was excellent and got us safe and sound back to our airbnb. We totally recommend this excursion, you will not regret it!

This was, without a doubt, the most amazing experience! Every detail was executed flawlessly from start to finish. We were picked up promptly at 5:00 AM from our hotel (Hilton Reforma) and transported to the Al Sol Globos launch site, where we were warmly greeted by the incredible staff. They offered coffee, water, and light refreshments while we waited. The hospitality was top-notch. A photographer came by shortly after to capture some candid pre-flight moments, which was a nice touch. We were then organized into groups and escorted to our assigned hot air balloon. The takeoff was smooth, and the views were absolutely breathtaking—truly a once-in-a-lifetime sight. The landing was so gentle, we barely felt it. Following the flight, we celebrated with a complimentary glass of wine while reviewing the photos and videos taken during our ride. We were then taken to a nearby cave restaurant for breakfast. While the food itself was average, the service and the cave dining experience were exceptional and memorable. The excursion continued with a quick stop at a local shopping area before heading to the Teotihuacan Pyramids, which rounded out the day beautifully. This experience is an absolute must—worth every single penny. I brought my two daughters, ages 12 and 16, and they were equally amazed. It was a magical day we will never forget.
