Judith was a very good driver. Very responsible, and she got us there fast both ways. Our guide Alicia was also fantastic. This is our third time for two of us in Teotihuacan and we Alicia showed us places we had never seen before. We came back home very impressed by the whole experience.

A Curated Day at Teotihuacan
Review for Teotihuacan
Aldo and Giovanni delivered an exceptional private tour of Teotihuacan that stood out well beyond a standard visit. From the moment they picked us up at our hotel, the experience was seamless and thoughtfully curated. They were highly accommodating throughout the day, consistently offering options and allowing us to shape the itinerary to match our interests, which made the tour feel genuinely personalized rather than scripted.
What truly elevated the experience was the depth of knowledge and context they brought. Aldo, a certified historian, provided a steady stream of engaging insights during the drive and on-site. He connected historical facts with modern-day observations, pointing out landmarks and areas of significance that most visitors would overlook. His ability to translate complex history into clear, compelling narratives made the learning experience both accessible and memorable.
A major highlight was their offer to take us beyond the typical tourist path into a lesser-known “neighborhood” of Teotihuacan. This included access to living quarters, preserved murals, and other culturally rich details that offered a more complete and human perspective of the site. It added a layer of authenticity that most tours simply do not provide.
Overall, the balance of historical depth, flexibility, and genuine hospitality made this a standout experience. Aldo and Giovanni didn’t just guide a tour—they created an immersive journey that brought the culture, history, and significance of Teotihuacan to life in a way that was both educational and highly enjoyable.

Nic was FABULOUS! He definitely took into consideration what we wanted to see during our tour and went above and beyond to ensure it happened. He was incredibly knowledgeable and also had a great sense of humor! I totally recommend his tour to anyone!

Wonderful tour guide Esly
Our tour guide Esly was fabulous - she was super friendly and shared a lot of interesting knowledge about the history of Mexico, the traditions/beliefs in Mexico, stories about Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera, and information on the current political climate in Mexico. We truly enjoyed Esly as our tour guide. A couple of things to note for future travelers:
1. We booked this tour less than a week in advance and were notified that tickets to the Frida Kahlo museum were not available. Instead of canceling the tour, we accepted the recommendation to visit Diego Rivera's museum as the alternative. The museum was OK, and luckily our tour guide was knowledgeable and able to explain many of the features at the museum.
2. While we came prepared to tip our tour guide, we were not aware that other third party vendors would also expect tips. Primarily we needed to tip the boat operator in Xochimilco and luckily we had some extra cash to do so. It would have been nice if tips to third parties were handled by the tour operator and included in the price of the tickets, or at the very least mentioned in the tour details.
Overall, thanks to Esly for making our trip a memorable one!

Great time with Hector!
My girlfriend and I had a great experience on this tour with our guide Hector! He was very knowledgeable about the cultures of Mexico and its history. He was also a humorous dude. He explained things well and made sure we knew what we needed to know as we visited the different sites. It might’ve been a somewhat long day, but it was so worth it. Thank you Hector and Amigos Tours!!!

Our walking tour was the perfect first experience to get us acclimated to the city. It was a great overview of the Zocalo. Aris was very knowledgeable and thorough. I enjoyed the sites and the history and took note of where I wanted to explore further.

Would book again!
I don’t usually travel with tours set up. I do my own research and buy a tour book ( which I do read). This trip I had to see Frieda Kahlo’s house. Huge fan of her work. I was not disappointed. The guides were well informed and I learned a few things I didn’t know. The bus was clean and guides very pleasant. We were able to meet people from other parts of the world! Fun!! Geo was just great. We loved her and her smile.

Book it!
An absolutely fabulous day! We had a delicious breakfast in a cave, tasted local beverages, toured an obsidian market, saw the ancient city of Teotihuacán and finished at a chocolate class. I beautiful way to spend the day, with fabulous guides at every step.

Two great sites and a walk in the park
Great way to check off both sites. Our guide Jonathan was great- did frequent checks about taking a break/bathroom breaks. He kept a good pace and answered any questions we had. You can also go back to the musuem afterwards if you want to explore on your own.

Incredibly Informative, personalized tour
My daughter and I had a great experience on this tour. We were picked up at our hotel at 7:00 which was a huge perk given that we weren’t staying near one of the usual pick up sites. Our guide was incredibly informative, and even brought books to illustrate certain points and taught us so much. I have been on the large group tours in Mexico before and wanted a more direct and private tour with no stopping at souvenir stands, etc… We did make one stop on the way out, but that was by our choice to get pastries as our hotel breakfast had not opened. I would highly recommend this tour if you want a personalized, private experience, and if you are interested in a more in depth education on what you are seeing.

Highlight of our trip!
The tour of the pyramids was the highlight of our trip to CDMX. We went on New Year's Day and had no traffic. It was basically an Uber driver who picked us up and drove us there. We got there relatively quickly (40 minutes) and met with our guide who spoke English. I sometimes had a hard time understanding him, but he was very friendly and knowledgable. The pyramids are absolutely incredible. You should not miss them. Although you cannot climb up the Pyramid of the Sun, you can on the Pyramid of the Moon, and the view is amazing. Don't miss doing that! There are a lot of vendors between the two pyramids, but not really in an annoying way. I liked some of the items they were selling and bought a magnet that I really liked and seemed like good quality.
After the tour, we were taken to a restaurant where we ordered and got served the best food on our trip. The tortilla soup was probably the best I've ever had and the mole was also fantastic. My family ordered various other things and everything was delicious. Definitely go with the tour that includes the lunch. I was so happy we did that instead of the cave lunch I originally wanted. Although it would have been cool to see the cave, I cannot imagine the food being better than what we were served on this tour. Also, the cook was a lovely woman who handmade everything herself. Great experience.
Don't hesitate to book this tour!

Better with an early start
Highly recommend this with the early start. Its well worth it when you see the bus loads of people arriving as you leave.
If anything, even earlier is better because it can get really hot. The guide was okay. Note that afterwards you are taken to tequila & mescal tasting and where you can buy souvenir, the vendors are nice and not too pushy. So glad i went.
