Balloon flight + Grotto breakfast + Pyramids tour from Mexico City

What an unforgettable experience from start to finish! Everything was perfectly organized, beginning with a prompt pickup right on time. During staging, we were treated to hot coffee and snacks, which was such a thoughtful touch while we waited for the balloons to prepare. The hot air balloon ride over the breathtaking Teotihuacan pyramids was absolutely magical. Floating above such an iconic archaeological site at sunrise is something I’ll never forget. To make it even better, our pilot, Augustine, was one of only two pilots who successfully landed back at the original launch site — while many other passengers had to be shuttled back from different landing locations. That level of skill made the experience even more impressive! After a smooth and safe landing, we celebrated with a champagne toast, which was the perfect way to wrap up the flight. The day continued with breakfast inside La Gruta, a stunning natural cave restaurant that truly elevates the entire experience. Dining there was both unique and delicious- can’t go wrong with either the chilaquiles or enchiladas! We also enjoyed a craft shop visit and drink tasting, which gave us a chance to appreciate local culture and traditions. The guided tour through the archaeological zone was exceptional — our certified bilingual guide, Ivan, was absolutely top tier. His knowledge, clarity, and passion made the history come alive. A special shoutout to our host, Itza, who communicated clearly throughout and set great expectations from the beginning. Everything ran smoothly because of her organization and attention to detail. All in all, this excursion exceeded expectations at every step. I highly recommend it and would absolutely do it again!
