Our Belles Arts Tours was fascinating and instructive. Our guide began by providing background on the Belles Arte building—its architecture, ornamentation, and history. She also provided insights to the Mexican murals, which were helpful as the murals are filled with history and meaning. Her input on the Diego Rivera mural was especially interesting. Unfortunately, I may have misunderstood the scope of our visit. Easy to recognize, friendly and on time, our guides. knowledge was great, very patient as we are all seniors. WOW! What a grand space! El Palacio de Bellas Artes was one of the highlights of our stay in México City. Our guide to this gem was Tiare. She walked us through all the amazing murals in this space. Her words were so full of passion and pride that the paintings seemed to come to life in front of our eyes. These murals show the genious of the grand Mexican muralists of the first half of the 20th Century, Diego Rivera, Manuel Rodriguez Lozano and Sequieros among others. We had Tiare for ourselves as a private tour, but she commanded such confidence that people would gather around us to listen to her explanations.
If you like art and murals this is a 100% must.

We took a private tour for our group of 4 with Cynthia as our guide, and she was fantastic. We prefer private tours because they’re more personal, and Cynthia made the experience even better, she was incredibly knowledgeable and attentive. I thought I knew a lot about murals. We were to see, but she taught us so much more. Highly recommend this tour when visiting Bellas Artes!

Cinthya Is a fantastic guide. This booking was last minute and solo. Cinthya Was kind enough to help me practice my Spanish and spoke in Spanish then translated into English when I looked confused. She is funny, charming, and gracious. She really knows her stuff and had expanded upon some history of the Mexican culture that I hadn’t heard. Really appreciate Cinthya‘s expertise. I highly suggest requesting Cinthya As your guide if possible. You won’t be disappointed. I’m a teacher in Chicago and scouting places to bring our students. This is on the list for sure.

We booked our tour last minute and Cynthia was very prompt at reaching out to me via Whats App to introduce herself. She also confirmed our meeting point with a photo and then Inquired if we had any questions. She was right on time meeting us and very friendly with a great sense of humor. She took us inside and got our tickets and then gave us some background about the building of the museum and the ruler at that time. Pointing out the art deco style that also incorporated some traditional symbolism. She then took us to the various murals and gave us an in depth description of what was going on during that time and how it was reflected in the art we were seeing. Helping us to notice various aspects being captured in the art and the symbolism associated with various depictions. Cynthia was very well versed in the art and did a great job conveying this in English for my husband and I. She had a great reverence and respect for the art and history of the time.
