What are people saying about Acadia National Park

A must do tour!
Everyone should take this tour before you do anything in Acadia National Park. You get tons of historical and geological information. Plus you get taken to all the top sites and you don't have to mess with the traffic or parking. You can go back the next day if you want to see more of a particular location or venture out to other areas of Acadia National Park. And you may be lucky enough to get Eric Jordan as your driver who has lived in the area for 40 years. He is extremely knowledgeable.

Paul was an excellent guide through Acadia. The Carriage Road tour is very impressive. Paul is full of so much information and knowledge about Acadia we loved all his stories. Must so when in Acadia.

It was great having this just so you knew the history and the stopping points. I would totally use something like this again.

  • Be prepared for traffic during summer's peak visitation. Beat the crowds by arriving early and buying your visitor's pass online, or booking a tour in advance.

  • The weather is constantly changing on the Maine coast, so prepare with sunscreen and dress in layers.

  • The park allows pets—just be sure to keep them on a leash.

  • For an accessible park hike, embark on the 3.5-mile (5.6-kilometer) Jordan Pond loop.
