Perfect ride from airport

Best tour to Sintra

The highlight of the trip was our guide Miguel, who gave us an amazing run down of history and context to the Visit. He gave us a lot of helpful information and tips during the stops and was always super accommodating. Our ride was a very comfortable van, and it was a small group of six people. One recommendation, if you are doing this tour make sure you pick the one with entry tickets included. The stops are both amazing and very different.

Elon was our driver both...

Elon was our driver both ways and he made it so easy and pleasant. He sent info and pics on where to meet at the airport, helped us carry all our things into the van, had a booster seat for my big toddler, gave us some info while he drove, and got us to our house safely. Our guide, Joao, was incredibly knowledgeable and brought each stop to life with stories, history, and the symbolism behind what we were seeing. We especially appreciated the insight he shared at Quinta da Regaleira, where every tunnel, garden, and tower seemed to have a hidden meaning. There was a little confusion at the beginning regarding the pickup location, but once we connected with the group, everything ran smoothly. Transportation was comfortable, and our small group size made for a very enjoyable experience. Our first stop was Cascais. We only had a short visit, but it was enough time to enjoy the ocean views and charming atmosphere. The highlights of the day were Quinta da Regaleira and Pena Palace. Quinta da Regaleira felt like stepping into another world, especially the famous Initiation Well and underground passageways. Pena Palace was equally impressive, with its vibrant colors, incredible views, and fascinating mix of architectural styles. Our guide also recommended an excellent spot for lunch and a wonderful place to grab dessert in Sintra, both of which ended up being highlights of the day. Overall, this tour was well organized, informative, and a fantastic way to experience some of Portugal’s most iconic sights. We highly recommend it.

A great way to spend a couple of hours in cool comfort.

We were in port on a very hot day and looked on Viator to find an activity indoors. We bought the tickets on Viator, and caught a cab. Lisbon Oceanario was a short ride from the port. It did not disappoint! The “One Planet, One Ocean” permanent exhibit connects the world’s water sources in a way that shows how everything affects our planet-plastics pollution, clear cutting of forests, climate change. The marine life is extraordinary! A giant sunfish, rays and sharks, etc. in the main tank, with areas devoted to penguins and to otters as well. Despite being there on a busy Saturday, it did not feel crowded.The gift shop is enormous and filled with ecologically made gifts.
