Great Kyoto Experience

We had a terrific tour with Yoshi exploring many sites in Kyoto. The tour consisted of a combination of trains, buses and walking, visiting various shrines, temples and gardens. Yoshi managed the tour to avoid long lines and crowds even on a busy weekend. A wonderful experience with a friendly and knowledgeable guide!

A lovely tour day in Osaka with Riri!

Osaka will become your favorite place in Japan after this tour. We were lucky enough to have Riri as our tour guide. She made Osaka come alive for us with her knowledge of its history and daily life. After explaining the exhibits at Osaka Castle, we had lunch at Akindo-Sushiro, we enjoyed strolling down Dotonbori and visiting a small temple. Great private tour, especially for those overwhelmed by all there is to see and do in Tokyo. I provided the company with a list of places I’d like to see, and the guide Erika made it all happen! Everything from the unusual request to visit a Daiso (the Tokyo version of a Dollar Store), to a fabulous lunch at a Japanese gluten-free restaurant (so I could experience their unique foods while accommodating an allergy). She kept the pace comfortable and checked throughout the day that we were covering my expectations of the tour, which were definitely more than exceeded. Erika is an amazing and engaging ambassador for both her tour company and Japan as a whole. Highly recommend this tour and the tour guide Erika!

My tour guide Umi was excellent! She contacted me several times prior to the tour to arrange sites to visit. I was interested in quieter spots in Tokyo that hoards of tourists don’t typically go to. Excellent guide through the city!

Family of four with kids 11,9 and we lived our tour with Naoko. She explained the shrine and the temple to us with detail we never would have known or under on our own. She also took us through the city to some shops and we tried some authentic food and snacks. Even on a rainy day we had a great experience with lots of good pictures!!

Our guide, Atsushi, was great! He met us at our hotel in Hakone and took us clockwise to tour all the sites. He was informative and taught us a lot. Our group was two adults and a 14 year old. We saw Mt Fuji from the rope way, but unfortunately the pirate ship was canceled because of high wind. We would absolutely use Atsushi again for this tour, or any other tour he provides.

We hit the Jackpot with this Kyoto tour!!

Our guide Yoshi was amazing and he took us to TEN phenomenal sites in Kyoto! This would be impossible on our own without his knowledge of the itinerary layout plus the means to navigate the transportation. We saw everything we desired—Golden Temple, Bamboo Forest and gardens, Kimono Forest, major Temples and Shrines. Be sure not to miss the astonishing Sanjusangendo Temple! He also took us to the Gion District and knew so much history of the area and the Geisha culture. His English is great. His lunch recommendation perfect. He took photos, timed bathroom breaks and was delightful to get to know. Please recognize that you will be exhausted with all the walking plus hopping transports. It’s a long, but oh so satisfying day of touring. If you are a cruise passenger logistics are even further connecting from the port to your guide. Cruise shore excursions usually offer 2 Kyoto highlights. We highly recommend this tour for an all encompassing experience in this beautiful city!
