This was a wonderful tour. We were matched with a guide based on our preferences, and they took care of the rest. We were meet at our ryoken, discussed the purpose itenerary/route and headed off. We saw temple, shrines and other key landmarks. All the whole, our guide filled is in on history, culture and other unique facts we wouldn't have gotten on our own. Highly recommended.

The Guide was really nice and waited for us when we were late. However the Price is too high for the tour because it shows maybe the main highlights/ shops of the city but does not give a complete overview of the history of the city and it does not include the entrance to any temple.

We had a wonderful experience with our Guide Milo! He was exactly what we were hoping for! A local with extensive historical knowledge! He spoke fluent English and Japanese which made navigating the city a breeze! He lead us through the city telling us the history and showing us important sights and then took us to a few temples where we got to experience zen meditation and calligraphy in addition to matcha! He even recommended a local Udon shop that was unknown to tourists - Best meal in Kyoto!! He went above and beyond to help us have a great experience!

Our tour guide Amy was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about all of the sites we visited in Kyoto. Be prepared for quite a lot of information on the history of places as well. Amy has so much information to share she is probably better suited to adult groups who can afford to spend the entire day with her. We only did the 1/2 day tour and ran out of time which cost us another $50 US per hour (we also had to pay for the guides transport throughout the day)

This was our first time in Kyoto. Amy personalized our time together and paid attention to the details! We saw everything we wanted to and more. She also played role of professional photographer. She has a true passion for what she does and was as excited as we were to take in all the sites. She guided us through shops informing us about all the foods, snacks & beverages available. The best way to sum up our time together is this: it was like visiting an old friend who happens to live in Kyoto who took the time to plan a special day to show you why they live there & who makes you want to come back! 5 Stars all the way!!

3 hour Kyoto tour

Alex was a fantastic tour guide. We had limited time so could only do a 3 hour tour but somehow managed to tick off a lot of my Kyoto list with information on culture, religion and geography. We did a large part of Gion which was my personal favourite! It really was the best way to discover Kyoto in an afternoon!

We packed as much as we could into our 4 hours with Amy our guide . She came to our hotel to meet us and Explained all our Japanese history and the different cultures and ways of the life here in Kyoto. If you get Amy you will be in good hands and she is always keen and ready to take pictures as we moved around temples and shrines . Wear your best and most comfortable shoes and Kyoto is not as well connected so often a good walk is necessary. Amy took us to the best shops to try out local delicious foods and sweets and macho tea and saka . We left the tour with hundreds of photos of a great day .

Detailed tour at Fushiyama Inari and Arishiyama bamboo Grove was covered. Kenta's detailed knowledge and excellent English expressions (he lived in San Francisco for many years) were highlights. Also, he planned the tour so nicely that we, as seniors didn't have any issue to walk the close to 20k steps. He never rushed us through and made sure we were at the place we wanted to be at the end of the 4 hour tour.

Amazing walking tour with Ceci!

We had the best time walking around with Ceci! She was very knowledgeable and fun! She also kept our children entertained for the whole trip which can sometimes be challenging. She tought us many things about Kyoto and took us to hidden places that were really cool. She also gave us great restaurant recommendations and at the end, she walked us to the subway to make sure we wouldn't get lost :)

Amazing Tour

We had an amazing experience with Kiyoto in Kyoto! He picked us up at our hotel and took us all throughout the city. Kiyoto made it feel like we were exploring with a friend, while also learning so much about the culture and history. He knew all the best spots to visit that didn’t have long lines and introduced us to customs and activities we never would have discovered on our own. In addition to touring, he took incredible photos and videos of us throughout the day so we could remember our visit, and he even shared restaurant recommendations and helped set us up for our next stop.
