Exact transportation costs can be discussed with the guide after a reservation is finalized. Please have Japanese Yen on hand for your transportation costs. Mai was a great guide. Met us at our hotel. Then went to Miyajama and peace memorial park. Great experience. She even took us to some great places for food and drink. Make sure you have a pasmo or suica card.

From the moment we booked our private tour, to being back home, the tour company and then our guide had excellent communication. We met our guide Emmy at the Shin-Hiroshima station and she immediately helped us navigate the station and be on our way to Miyajima. Having a second-generation Hiroshima survivor lead us through our day was wonderful and we were able to tailor the day to meet our interests.
Emmy provided answers to our questions, information on what we were seeing, and gave ample time for exploration and photos.
After Miyajima we headed back to Hiroshima for the tour to continue with more historical perspective and even a detour to a calligraphy store! She was patient when we wanted to buy snacks or were in the museum. We felt fortunate to have spent the day with this amazing tour guide.
It was a long day for all of us and Emmy made sure we weren't overwhelmed with information. She stayed with us all the way back to the Shin-Hiroshima station and made sure we got through with our tickets before departing.
Following the tour, she sent photos that she took of our family throughout the day which was very much appreciated.

It’s a nice experience off the Diamond Princess cruise. The morning was solemn visiting the museum and the hypocenter. The afternoon at Miyajima was relaxing. The okonomiyaki was delicious. The tour guide was knowledgeable but left us at the high speed boat station at the end of the trip. It would have been nice to be escorted back to the cruise… as the route back was not entirely obvious.

Eiji was waiting for us with a sign as soon as we got off our cruise ship. He was full of educational information knowledge of the city, patient with our pace & laughed with us. He made sure we had a full day of site seeing while making sure we got back to our cruise ship port on time. If you're cruising & looking for tours, go with Viator instead of booking thru cruise ship. Much more personable tour with guide & you'll see more. We rode taxis, boat, trains & walked through so many sites in Hiroshima. Long but very enjoyable day.

Tomoe was absolutely a fantastic guide. She was so knowledgeable and kept us interested the entire day. Weeks before we arrived Tomoe sent us three options for sites to see and worked very hard to personalize the tour to our interests. When we got done our three kids told us that was the best tour on our trip. If you can request Tomoe you won’t be disappointed.

Our tour with Hiroshi and our chauffeur was absolutely amazing! They met us promptly at the port and Hiroshi went above and beyond to ensure we saw the best of Hiroshima. Visiting Miyajima Island—Hiroshi's home—was a highlight; his deep knowledge of the area is incredible. He managed to steer us away from the crowds to a stunning restaurant overlooking the iconic red Torii gate, surrounded by beautiful cherry blossoms.
Beyond the sights, Hiroshi shared his personal shrine with us and taught us meditation techniques that I now use daily. Even after nine hours of touring, we made it back to the ship perfectly in time for dinner. This tour was only as meaningful as it was because of Hiroshi’s passion and expertise. We were so impressed and highly recommend him!

We had a wonderful day with Sebastian. He was very detailed with our itinerary and although we experienced a very wet rainy day, we didn’t miss any of the wonderful sites of Hiroshima. Mickie was exceptional. I would highly recommend touring with her! She communicated effectively beforehand, sending an agenda for the day with times for each stop, the transportation we would use for the tour and how much everything would cost. She was extremely knowledgeable and easily adapted to any changes we wanted to make. She even told us about the weather forecast days in advance. Despite a very cold and rainy day, we had a n amazing well organized tour with Mickie. She’s amazing.!

Covered interesting places, especially the Peace Memorial and related nearby sites. Very helpful navigating Hiroshima’s public transit system, which would have been challenging if done on our own. Could have been more forthcoming with historical information, but we nonetheless saw and learned a lot.

Hiroshi was truly an extraordinary guide. Being from the island himself, his deep love and pride for his home were evident in everything he shared with us.
He took us to both the well-known landmarks and the more sentimental places that clearly held personal meaning for him, giving us a perspective we would never have experienced on our own. One of the highlights was visiting his local temple, where he guided us through a peaceful moment of Zen—it was such a remarkable and memorable experience.
We also enjoyed a wonderful traditional lunch at his sister-in-law’s restaurant, which we thoroughly appreciated. Throughout the day, we learned so much about the culture, shrines, and traditions of the area.
Hiroshi truly went above and beyond for us, even helping us purchase our train tickets home at the end of the day, which we were very grateful for. His kindness, knowledge, and personal touch made the entire experience unforgettable.

We had such a great day with our guide Minori. Right from the start we had great communication to plan our day. We let her know what we were interested in doing and then she made an itinerary. We weren't sure where the cruise shuttle would let us off until the last minute but it was no issue communicating and planning a place to meet. Minori has a vast knowledge of Hiroshima which enhanced our tour. We visited multiple sites and took the high speed ferry to the Shrine on Miyajima Island. We also had a fantastic lunch that was a welcome break in the middle of the day. Minori was very mindful of the time we needed to return to the ship. We never felt rushed. Overall the day could not have been better. We would not hesitate to recommend Minori as your tour guide for your day in Hiroshima.

Eri gave us a very informative, insightful tour of Hiroshima Memorial Peace Park and the Itsukushima Shrine on Miyajima Island. It is a lot to cover in one day but she had planned it perfectly. A very good tour with a friendly tour guide. Highly recommend.

We had a very full day seeing the Miyajima shrine and Daishoin Temple which were amazing. Then we toured the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and museum. Our guide, Sei, offered us many options to best meet our preferences and transportation needs. Sei provided us with lots of insight into the culture and history of these areas and Hiroshima. We had an excellent day.
