We had such a great experience on this private Taroko National Park tour. Our driver, James, was incredibly kind, friendly, and made the entire day feel relaxed and personalized. Instead of just hitting the typical tourist spots, he also took us to some hidden local gems that we wouldn’t have found on our own. One of the highlights was when he even got us handmade mochi, such a thoughtful and memorable touch that really made the experience feel special and authentic. Great time with Michael!!!

Great excursion in a company of a very friendly and knowledgeable guide. We were pleasantly surprised from the very beginning as we boarded a very clean and neat Mercedes Van with only 2 other group members, so it felt like a private tour already. While driving to the first stop it started drizzling while no rain was forecasted. We all got very upset, inluding Michael. However, the rain didn’t ruin our experience, because Michael had super comfy water and wind resistant rain coats for us :) we liked them so much, even bought some as a souvenir from a local street shop. Over all it was a wonderful journey full of very scenic views and great memories to take home. Thank you Michael for making our tour so wonderful!!!

Excellent time with James!

We had an excellent time with James today! I have taken this tour before and couldn’t wait to do it again with my mom and daughter. They made my daughter’s birthday very enjoyable and we loved visiting Taiwan!!! I highly recommend this all day tour. Here is an itinerary of what we did today: All day tour: Yehliu Geopark, Jiufen, Pingxi 45 min drive to Yehliu Geopark 40 min drive to Jiufen (miners old town) 40 min to Shifen for Waterfall 10 min to Pingxi (sky lanterns by railroad) We can’t wait to come back! Great bike tour with lots of history and immersion in local culture.

Alex was a great guide. From a cycling perspective, most of the riding is done on less crowded alleys and streets, although there is a bit of riding in more crowded city areas. For the more crowded parts, Alex was careful to explain how best to safely navigate. From a touring perspective, we stopped to see several important historical things and visited multiple different types of neighborhoods. With each stop Alex explained various aspects of the history of Taiwan and the local people. He presented his personal views but also was quick to acknowledge that not everyone in Taiwan shares identical opinions. I found his narrative to be very informative and the sites we visited to be extremely interesting. Breakfast was at a small local shop with authentic food. Not fancy at all, but very tasty and a great way to sample local foods and be immersed in the culture.

Garen is the best!

Garen was absolutely amazing! As was her personality!! I can't wait to come back and have her as a tour guide again. The tour lasted about 3 hours and was filled with delicious foods and stories/history of Taiwan. I mentioned how much I enjoyed mochi and she made sure to get me some fresh mochi =]. She helped my mother with using chopsticks and was just a really sweet and kind person.

A great way to explore Taiwan

A wonderful way to explore Taiwan outside of Taipei. Alan was the best guide you could ask for. He was extremely funny and had great recommendations and fun facts about everywhere we went. The hotels were comfortable and some of them had hot springs available, which was a big bonus.

Tea tasting and scenic views

Casual drive through the mountains just south of Taipei. Saw local tea fields over looking the thousand island lake. Guide was helpful, especially answering questions about the fauna. The highlight was the tea tasting with a tea master: three teas of which two were locally grown.
