She is very knowledgeable and helpful. Her English is very good and gave us very interesting local information and history of the art project. She is also knowledgeable about the travel arrangements between and on each island. You should definitely ask ahead of time travel arrangements on Teshima though the buses are far and few between (2hours).

This was a great day tour to explore Naoshima. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the area and provided additional history of the area where he grew up. He also was very thoughtful and helped us figure out how to get to the island from Osaka.

Yoko was the best guide! We would have been totally lost without her and we maximized our whole day on the island. Don’t forget to bring cash and have fun spotting fun art and amazing architecture. Chichi museum was our favorite :)

My mom in her late 70s and I had an amazing day with Sato on Naoshima Island. She was very prepared and shared lots of information and trivia about this art island. She was very accommodating as it was a really hot day, so she made sure that she planned around the heat so that we could get out of the sun, while enjoying all around the island. She has such a great disposition, and is quite funny. We really enjoyed our day.

We stayed in Uno and took the ferry across with our guide, Sato, who had lots of stories to tell! The experience overall was superb, with nice weather allowing walks around different art sites. The Chichu museum was excellent and overall we had a great day!

Sato-san curated a perfect day on Naoshima. She was well-informed, interesting, and very responsive to our requests. We especially enjoyed the Chichu Art Museum, Sugimoto Hiroshi Time Corridors exhibit, and Benesse House Projects. Naoshima is a little difficult to reach, but well worth the effort required!
