Snorkel between two tectonic plates at the world-famous Silfra Fissure, where crystal-clear glacier-fed waters remain at a chilly 35 to 39°F (2 to 4°C) year-round. To help keep you comfortable throughout the experience, this drysuit snorkeling tour includes dry gloves, providing extra warmth for your hands.
Please note that admission to Silfra Fissure is included in your booking. However, a parking fee per group is required and must be paid separately.

Absolutely exceeded expectations! This has been a bucket list activity since I read a Nat Geo article about it years ago. From the minute I arrived to the end of the activity Hedinn was fantastic! He explained the steps without being overwhelming, offered a heated space to put the dry suit on (which was clutch in Jan), and the dry gloves were a godsend. He maintains small groups so you’re not nuts to butts. He took gorgeous pics and provided a link same day. 10/10 would recommend!

This was a really special and unique experience that we both really enjoyed. Our guide GianCarlo was wonderful- he made us feel comfortable, did a great job of telling us safety info, getting us geared up and guiding us through the snorkeling experience. We would highly recommend this to others! This provider is the only one who supplies guests with dry gloves and that is a HUGE benefit- our hands were so much warmer and comfortable.

Our guide Chris was excellent. He had everything prepared when we arrived, explained exactly how the tour would run and what to expect at every point. Chris took great photos with his underwater camera, which are nice to have. He also had interesting information to share about the area and what we would be seeing once we got in the water. We especially appreciated the dry gloves to keep hands warm! Highly recommend!

We couldn’t have asked for a better guide and snorkelling experience in Silfra. Hedinn, our local guide was so kind and knowledgeable. He made sure we avoided the long wait times, and got our own private time snorkelling. He gave us so much space to enjoy being in this beautiful place while also making sure we were always safe and comfortable. I was initially a little nervous getting in, but the dry suit and dry gloves made this experience so pleasant and stress free. I was honestly surprised by how dry we were after getting the suits off. I would highly recommend booking your tours with Hedinn (diving island). You won’t have any regrets!!!

He provides professionalism, expertise, fun, state-of-the-art gear, and GLOVES (the other companies do NOT provide gloves--gloves are a MUST, they make the VERY COLD snorkel so much more enjoyable)! This company was awesome! We arrived at the meeting spot and were met by our guide and company owner, Héðinn. He was well prepared and welcoming, making us feel very safe and gave us the genuine Icelandic experience snorkeling followed by hot chocolate and biscuits. Book with this company!! We had a great time and got some real locals knowledge of places of where to go and visit. He even emailed us pictures from the day. A++

Shortly before the end of our vacation, we had booked one more special adventure. A snorkeling tour. We chose this provider because, unlike the other tours, it also protects the hands well against the cold, and the other reviews were also consistently positive.
It is a bit scary to snorkel in such cold water, especially in a deep gorge on top of that.
The guide explained everything to us very well and also gave us assistance during the tour when needed.
We felt safe and did not get wet at all, except for our faces, of course.
