Nice drive great guide

This tour was great. Our guide Eric was so knowledgeable and we learned so much from him on the road to Hana. There was quite a bit of rain in the morning but luckily each time we stopped to get off and walk around it ceased. We had a warm lunch at Hana farms which was good. Our guide Eric also helped those of us who wanted to jump off of a cliff and into a waterfall. He constantly checked in on the group and kept things interesting. This drive is definitely about the journey rather than the destination. I would definitely do it again! I’m so glad I did, if I drove it myself I would miss out on a lot of information and stops that only locals know about. 10/10!!

Lava’lots!!

Unforgettable experience!! From the couple from the Big State of TX,: “Big Island did not disappoint!!” and our guide Ohana LEON rocks and the grreatest ambassador!! Started the day with a real coffee (Kona), to black sand and turtle encounter then having the Malasadas on our way for the Big highlights of the tour: closed encounter with the erupting volcano!!! Really unforgettable experience; the hot air on your skin while looking at the “lava fireworks” 🤣, then cool and wind down with refreshing breeze passing by the water falls park before heading back to the hotel. "Chee Hoo!!”

We had an incredible experience on the Road to Hana excursion! Every stop was beautiful, and the entire day was well organized from start to finish. Our tour guide, Roger, truly made the experience exceptional. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the island, its history, and the local culture, and he shared so many interesting facts along the way. He was kind, personable, and never made us feel rushed at any of the stops. We had plenty of time to take in the views, explore, and enjoy each location without feeling like we were on a strict schedule. If you’re thinking about doing the Road to Hana, I highly recommend this tour—especially if Roger is your guide. He made an already beautiful experience unforgettable!

The hike can get steep...

The hike can get steep with a lot of stairs closer to the summit, but overall is a pretty casual hike with great 360 degree views. Several great lookout spots along the way before the 360 degree views at the summit. Highly recommend. Having a shuttle pick you up near your hotel and drop you off at the park is very convenient as well. The tour guide, Matt, did a great job explaining different local aspects during the drive and was generally just a very friendly, gracious, and helpful guide.

Athletic shoes required! And an amazing experience.

So fun! The guides were awesome and entertaining. They share all the information and do a whole tour about it. They do require athletic shoes. In most of the information it never says anything more than close toed shoes, they require athletic shoes. Fully enclosed shoes. So someone needs to fix that on this website.

Ashley and Alex are the best!

Ashley and Alex were so great. They educated us while finding SO many whales. You can tell they truly care about the species and we learned a lot, but we also got to see so many breaches! We saw flips and turns, spouts and tails... it was amazing! We saw 6 or 7 different whales, including a baby who was quite playful! The zodiac ride is not for the faint of heart-- it's bumpy but FUN and we loved our experience. We would do it again, most definitely!!

Loved the whale watching tour!

What a great experience! Aiden (sp?) and his crew did a fantastic job finding whales and dolphins to see. Aiden delivered information about the whales with humor and knowledge. Also the music onboard was great. What more could you ask for…beautiful water, whale and dolphin sightings and a great crew to make it a memorable experience for my family. Highly recommend this excursion. Thank you!
