A must-do day trip from Florence!
The drive into the countryside of Tuscany was beautiful. Both our tour guide, Lorenzo, and driver, Sergio, took very good care of us. Lorenzo shared information enroute to our destinations and gave a small introduction to each town’s history before sending us off to explore on our own. Both towns were charming. Lunch at a local winery was great fun. We enjoyed wine and olive oil tasting before enjoying a delicious meal. (The orange olive oil cake for dessert was incredible!) The winery offered stunning views. Suffice it to say, a good time was had by all. Thank you Lorenzo and Sergio.

Loved our food tasting...
Loved our food tasting tour. We ate different Tuscan foods - pastas, soup, sandwiches, gelato - which we may not have tried. Loved that we dined at local Tuscan restaurants. We should have paced ourselves because the portions were full plates and all delicious! Now we have a lust of restaurants to try out fir our next adventure to Florence.

This cooking class was...
This cooking class was recommended to us by friends who attended it three years ago. It was highly recommended, and still exceeded our expectations. Luca and Erika were fabulous. The food was amazing, the show was even better. We loved the tour of the Mercato. It was so neat to see all of the local producers in the market and purchase our meat, cheese and vegetables right from the source. The estate is beyond beautiful pictures cannot even describe how “Tuscan” it really is. You simply cannot come to Florence and not take this class. I cannot wait to go back to the states and try to re-create these recipes. Pasta has never seemed easier to make, the Bolognese was better than anything I’ve ever prepared myself, and tiramisu is my favorite dessert so it’s amazing to be able to make it myself now. My husband had probably a better time than I even did. The jokes and banter and engagement kept him included the entire time, and he doesn’t love, organized tours, and excursions when we are on trips. All in all, I would go back and do this again. I highly recommend to anyone who is in the area to give this a shot.

Gabriel was our tour...
Gabriel was our tour guide. There were 5 of us in the group and from the start made us all feel very welcomed and connected. We toured a nice variety of places and he shared information about the food and history of the area. He shared tips of other places to go, in the areas we were in. It was also to hear about his history, moving here and loving it from the start. That really came through when he was talking about the food and neighborhoods. Overall it was an easy walking tour and we would highly recommend it.
