After leaving central Florence by air-conditioned coach, journey into the beautiful Tuscan countryside with your guide. Travel past the olive groves, vineyards, and rolling hills of the "Via Chiantigiana," a scenic route through the picturesque Chianti.
Stop for the visit to a cozy organic production winery, where the owner guides you through local wine making secrets, and where you sample the house vino and local food products.
After a few hour at the winery, continue along the "Via Chiantigiana,” admiring the views of the Tuscan rolling hills, to a family-run winery in the Sienese Chianti Classico area. Walk through the vineyard with the winemaker, tour the cellars and aromatic garden, and taste at least four different wines and unique local food products—you can also purchase some to take home.
Travel along the Chianti Road back to Florence, where you’re dropped off at Piazzale Montelungo.
Please note that the order of the visits may change. And if you chose the cooking class option, you will skip the winery visits and learn to look local dishes to be paired with Tuscan wines.

- We recommend to wear comfortable shoes. Wineries are usually located on the top of the hill and you start the visit with a short walk along the slope through vineyards.
- For small groups, up to 8 pax, the Tour escort service could be replaced with an English speaking driver-guide service, while maintaining unchanged the entire program of the excursion.
- Please be advised that it is required to bring your original ID with you during the tour
- In the visited wineries, it is not always possible to ensure the presence of staff who speak languages other than English.
- Clients with motor disabilities or wheelchair users are encouraged to notify the tour organizer in advance and seek medical advice to ensure suitability of services. We had a great time, the winery representatives were knowledgeable and friendly. The view of Tuscan countryside was fantastic. The bus was comfortable (I’d suggest playing some Italian music to enhance the experience though). The tasting experience was nice, we tasted a variety of products, but I’d add some more cheese/salami to complement the wine. Overall, I recommend this tour.

The wineries we visited had some lovely people working there and were family owned.
The tour operators were also kind and helpful and took their time to give a brief history lesson of Chianti region and the wineries.
You also get to meet new interesting people!

Use a different operator. After they left another tour also with a 230 departure and who were waiting allowed us to join them we had a great time. Prestige tours. The tour operator picked by viator was horrible. CAJ tours should learn manners and be accommodating. Would it have killed them to wait 5 minutes. Worse company ever.

Our assistant waited at the meeting point until 2:35 PM, while the scheduled departure time was 2:30 PM. Your call to our office was received only after that time, when the tour had already departed.
Our operations office offered you the possibility to join the same tour on another day, or alternatively to take the morning tour, but unfortunately you declined both options.
We always do our best to assist our customers and accommodate them whenever possible, but it is essential to arrive at the meeting point on time, as delays can affect the entire group and the scheduled itinerary.

5 star rating goes to the guide Marie Luisa who was outstanding. Very friendly and knowledgeable..She went above and beyond to look after my elderly parents in an unobtrusive fashion. A real people person. Giuseppe the driver was also very component and very cheerful. We learnt a bit about the production of Chianti and had very small samples of the wine compared to other tours where the portions were much more generous.

Really incredible experience! Fabi (our guide) was incredibly sweet and helpful and gave some great knowledge about the Chianti region. Both vineyards were beautiful and had a unique charm to them. All the wines were very good and getting to try the local snacks and olive oils was a huge plus!

I loved the pairing with meats, breads, and cheeses, which were delicious in and of themselves! They brought out the flavor of the wines! At one of the wineries, there is a pretty steep hill, so wear good shoes.

The bus was so comfortable. Our guide was nice. We got to visit 2 wineries. The first had amazing views of the countryside. The second was lovely as well with large pours of wine. Both had good bathroom facilities. You sit at communal tables and it’s fun to chat with strangers. Each place gave you a plate of bread, meat and cheese.
