We travel a lot and this was the first food tour we went on. Definitely won’t be our last. We traveled with our 18 & 21 year old kids. This was an amazing food tour and our guide Marco was great! My kids are still talking about him! He was so nice and made the day so fun. The food was really good and we were stuffed by the end! We would definitely recommend this food tour to our friends and family! Thanks for a fun tour Marco!

Our guide Vincenzo was outstanding. We had 5 stops of wonderful wine & foods and got the history of Florence along the way.

Lorenzo, our tour guide, was great — very knowledgeable. My complaint is with the experience itself. The food was mediocre and light on protein: the first stop was wine with bread and prosciutto; the second was pasta (little ham, and potato ravioli) served family-style at a shared table with other parties (I’d have preferred our own space rather than sitting next to strangers); the third was a vegetable soup, more like porridge, with bread; the fourth was a panini with just a few slices of meat; and the last stop was gelato. We also ended up walking in circles, passing the same spots multiple times. I wish the food options had been better — though we might be a bit biased, coming from San Francisco where the food scene is excellent. Save your money and skip this tour.

We would, however, like to clarify that the tour description accurately outlines what is included before booking. The experience features a glass of Chianti wine, a local first dish, namely Pici, a traditional Tuscan starter with cured meats, two iconic local dishes—pappa al pomodoro and ribollita—a freshly made schiacciata, and artisan gelato. Our goal is to introduce guests to authentic Tuscan specialties rather than offer a fine dining experience.

We were a group of 11 friends/family traveling together. Gennaro was an excellent tour guide. We learned about Florence, Italian wines and food, and a little about each other through a game he had us play. The food was excellent and we were definitely full in the end. We all were very happy that we had this experience.

First of all we didn’t get the meats and cheeses with wine-our first stop was just wine (at 11am and no snacks -that’s hard on the system). While I didn’t like the soups we had it was nice to try the specialties of Florence. Biggest gripe was that a group member showed up and asked if this was a walking tour because she wasn’t able to walk. The guide was very accommodating and walked VERY SLOW for her but this dragged the tour on for what seemed like forever. Things happen and injuries happen but be considerate and maybe cancel or reschedule instead of making the able bodied walkers shuffle around an extremely busy and fast paced city like Florence. Very disappointed!

Loved our food tasting tour. We ate different Tuscan foods - pastas, soup, sandwiches, gelato - which we may not have tried. Loved that we dined at local Tuscan restaurants. We should have paced ourselves because the portions were full plates and all delicious! Now we have a lust of restaurants to try out fir our next adventure to Florence.

Got to see some nice sights and learn the layout of the city on the tour. The food was delicious and got to try some older Florentine trattorias. The wine portion was very informative. Gennaro was a great guide.

Be sure to come hungry because the food was phenomenal as was the wine. Sacha was so personable and we just loved her. She has such a special talent for making a connection with people. The primary pasta restaurant was so fantastic that we went back the next night for steaks. If you are in Florence and hungry for some great food options, take advantage of this tour and ask for Sacha. You won’t be disappointed just stuffed!!!

Would have preferred the pasta later because it really filled us up, but each location was quality.

We were able to participate in two food walking tours while in Florence. They both were incredible, but completely different experiences. This tour with Marie, was across 5 different restaurants. Each had their own ambiance and wonderful story to tell. We tried 9 dishes across the locations, plus had wine at every stop. As amazing as it was, it was made even better by Marie, her knowledge of the city and the conversations with had with her and Peleg. She even stayed late to spend a little more time with us and fit in a caffe. We highly recommend this tour and make sure to ask for Marie!
