It was a beautiful day trip to see the 5 terrace islands. Our guide Laila was perfect! She gave us information about each location and then let us browse on our own! Her recommendations were spot on! She was still available if we needed her but she gave us space too!

Full day excursion to see 4 of the 5 towns. Lots of beautiful scenery and lots of walking. If it had need 15 degrees cooler would have been perfect. We had a nice lunch at a suggted local restaurant.

We did not get to take the excursion. Our flight was canceled in London due to an Air Traffic Control problems. We tried all day to get out on a flight. No flights were available. By the time we knew that we were not going to make it. We called and told them the problem and ask if we could change to another day. We were working hard to arrive in Italy. They said that we missed the cut off to cancel or change so they would not do anything to help us. We were open to any date that they had an opening over the next 2 weeks. They were not willing to help us at all! It was totally out of our control, but they didn’t care.

I received a message on Sunday from my Viator Guide that the tour had been cancelled due to “technical” issues!

Great trip - I had originally planned to just go myself from Florence, to La spezia and do the 5 towns in two days. Saw this tour and figured i would try it. Glad I did. 1 day was enough. We skipped Cornilia since it is a decent walk up from the train and small. Would have been nice to check out but it was already a long day. The towns are close by train, but it was nice having the logistics taken care of. Had an hour - two hours at each. Fun spots to jump in at the port of Manarola but no where really to change. I brought a bathing suite but ended up just swimming in underwear. It was nice to fit it all in one day. Overall great experience

Wonderful day out. Very informative guide travel by bus to a unique, beautiful area where the group transfers to train going to the five towns.
A boat ride is also included
There is time for a quick swim in a couple of places especially at the end destination. Time keeping is important.
Highly recommend this tour from Florence
Too much for 1 day. Felt rushed. Then were forced to wait over 1 hour for tour members who showed up late for bus ride back to Florence.
This experience was well organized and we had time to do our own thing our tour guide cecili and elsa where amazing they explained everything well and alot of suggestions and communication was amazing i would like them as a tour guide again in the future
Have been traveling 50 years. Worse tour guide that I've ever had. My 3 friends with me agreed. Her English was almost not understanding. Spanish on the trip and suppose to be only English
A great way to see four of the five village towns that make up Cinque Terre during a day tour from Florence. Well organised, just listen and follow along with the times for trains and platforms.
Stanislava who speaks perfect English and Spanish, Italian and her native Czech language is extremely knowledgeable about the area of Cinque Terre. She, together with Erika lead us to an almost perfect tour, starting with a train ride from Levanto to Manorola with the postcard & instagram pictures of CT including the boat ride to Riomaggiore , then to Vernazza and the final stop is Monteresso.
Stanislava and Erica will answer all your questions and worriedly caring to make sure you don't miss the schedule of tour. They will give you recommendations on where to go plus what to eat and drink. They will refer you to the most amazing viewpoint to take selfies and pictures. They will make you sure this adventure will be an absolute memorable adventure. I wish they can tell the patrons to bring a bathing suit or swintrunks & flip-flops because there is ample time to sunbathe and dip your feet in the Liguria sea with in Monterosso on the Viator website tour activity tour. They will also give you space and time away from them in the islands and to take a nap on the 2 hrs bus ride to and fro. It's like you toured Cinque Terre with a happy & caring friend. Stanislava is genuinely joyous and proud to show us around her beloved Italy. August is still hot so bring you H20, folding paperhand fans, portable electric fans, sunglasses, Panama hat, plus a change of shirt. Our pictures proves my sentiments. Unfortunately, I injured myself the day before this one and couldn’t make it. I asked to reschedule or refund and those weren’t options because I was within 24hours of the experience. Definitely let down by the poor customer service with this.
This is a really good tour. Cinque terra was nice. Has a bit of a medieval feel to it. Stanislava is a great guide. If you book this and get her as your guide you will have a great day. The only reason I didn't give this a 5 was because the free time was great but having a quick tour or review of the villages would have added to the tour and also I ordered the street food which was only 2 pieces of foccaccia bread, a bottle of water and a small Gelato. All was tasty but lunch would have been a better option.

Because of rough water, we had to take the train instead of the ferry to each island-no fault of the agency. It was a VERY long day and after you see two stops, you’ve seen them all, in my opinion. We would have enjoyed a couple of longer stops. If you are walking impaired, do not do this tour.

We went to the meeting point using the map feature in the app and ended up being in the wrong location. We also confirmed it with the meeting location on our voucher. I messaged through the app that nobody was there to meet us and got no response. We and another group of 4 missed the entire trip and were not reimbursed. Person from the tour was not helpful after we missed it.

Too disorganized and stressful with bus to boat to multiple trains. Cinque Terra itself was overcrowded, expensive, and not shown to be historically significant.

Smooth bus ride. Fantastic guides, very clear on where to go and when. Otherwise we had a free time around each town. Cinque Terre is gorgeous and a highly recommend this adventure.
It was fantastic, a day well spent and very well organised. Excellent guide - Giuliano. Only issue being the street food option was nothing special, more expensive than if purchased yourself, so rather arrange your own with advice from the guide.

I can’t think of how you could possibly put together a more complete Cinque Terre experience in one day. We went to four of the five villages, travelled by bus, train, and boat, and still were able to spend some time swimming or exploring in a couple of the villages. Cicily was a great tour guide! Thank you for the experience!

The guides were kind and helpful but basically the tour provided transportation and time to explore the villages. You could as easily just taken train to CinqTerres Levanto and explored each Village.

Please don’t take this trip, the tour operator Sightseeing Experience is a disaster. We were waiting for them in the meeting point mentioned in the Viator App and they never show up and we can’t make the tour after paying more than $300. They never sent us an email or trying to contact us.

This tour was brilliant but it is a very long day. It gives a taster of the area. You dont spend much time in each village so need to know what it is you wish to see beforehand and straight there.

Subject to weather and national strikes. Trip operator asked us to reschedule or get a refund because of the high waves for the ferry portion and due to national railroad strike. It has been a week and the tour operator Ciao Florence told us Viator would refund our payment but no word from Viator and Ciao Florence told us specifically to request a refund via email. The Viator app kept pinging us to attend even though Ciao Florence acknowledged our cancellation. Also, the app kept asking for a review for trip that never happened. My previous experience was 5 star with Ciao Florence and Viator. I am giving a low rating for the way they handle cancellations and the refund process. Please remedy immediately. Refund Request sent to customer.care@viator.com on June 10th.

Although the beauty of this area is unmatched,nothing about this tour was informative other than instructions where to meet and on what platform to take the next train.If you you not like huge crowds,this tour is not for you.You constantly find yourself in a position where you have to "fight" and do whatever it takes to find a spot on the train.
