Itinerary

Your day trip departs from Florence, where you hop aboard your coach and travel through the Tuscan hills.

Arrive first in the medieval city of Siena, celebrated for the horse races that pack cheering crowds into the main square twice a year. Learn about the area's history and architectural gems from your guide as you stroll the cobblestone streets. Make your way to the stunning Siena Cathedral, constructed of striped black and white marble, for a tour of its truly unique interior (at an additional cost as part of the Classic Tour).

Relax afterward with a 3-course lunch at a local winery, enjoying plates of bruschetta, pasta or other regional favorites, complemented by a wine pairing (if Classic Tour option has been selected).

Continue to the medieval hilltop town of San Gimignano, known for its towers, visible for miles over the cityscape. Soak up some free time to wander the local shops and streets at your own pace.

Reunite with your guide and head next to Pisa and enjoy additional time to discover the city on your own. Check out Pisa Baptistery, the Duomo, or snap a photo with famous Leaning Tower of Pisa.

Your day trip concludes later in the afternoon with transportation back to Florence. Please note that this day trip involves a moderate amount of walking.

This tour is a great way to see more of the Tuscan area while you are staying in Florence. Roberto, Marina, and Mario were excellent guides/driver. The trip was full of fascinating information and we were still able to roam about as we pleased during the free time. Would highly recommend this tour if your trip allows it!

Easy!

Easy way to see multiple Tuscan towns in one day without having to worry about accommodations or renting a car.

Fantastic day in tuscany

ALLAN_S, Apr 2026
This trip was very well organised... its an early start but so worth it... Coach was clean and very comfortable, our guide was Alex and another young man who were both extremely professional and polite and could answer any questions we had ,and was both very clear with instructions for departure times at towns.... Sienna was beautiful and had about 2 hours there, we opted for the lunch and wine tasting... lunch was in a farmhouse in tuscan hills ,consisting of meat and cheese plate followed by a pasta and ragu sauce which was very tasty ,these were accompanied by a sparking wine and two reds followed by a sweet dessert wine which we dipped our almond biscuit into.... the girl explained all about the chianti region wine and her family's vineyard Sangiminano was beautiful and the best gellato there.... Pisa was a novelty for the leaning tower and some fun pictures..... I would definitely rate this trip and also to mention our very safe and careful driver Boris....

An excellent tour of Tuscany.

Nava_P, Apr 2026
This was a fantastic full day, very beautiful scenery, amazing lunch with lots of fine wine sampling. Siena, San Gimignano and Pisa were incredible and our guides, Alex and Antonio were so friendly, helpful and well organised. A long day with a lot of walking but well worth it!

Great tour with lots to see

Mouhab_M, Apr 2026
It is an excellent experience. There is little time to spend on the different locations. So it is excellent if you want to see many things in one day. If you prefer to take your time, I would suggest a tour with the same company but less stops.

Excellent tour.

Christopher_O, Apr 2026
A long day but great value, if time is limited, to visit 4 unesco cities in a day. Comfortable transport and clear instructions at each location. A large group of 75 but didn't have any issues. We opted for the luch which was well worth doing. Thanks to the team

Our guide, Lorenza, and...

Gill_G, Apr 2026
Our guide, Lorenza, and team were exceptional with their information and organisation. A long day with a lot of travelling and walking but more than worth it to see these amazing Tuscan highlights. There was free time in each place, which allowed us to see what we wanted to. The lunch with wine tasting at an organic, family-run vineyard was excellent and a real treat. Very good value.

A great way to spend a day!!

Karen_K, Apr 2026
A great way to pack in a few great sites and nice bus ride through the Tuscan countryside when you are limited on time. Wine for purchase at the winery lunch stop was a little pricey for your average wine drinker. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable We really enjoyed our day!!

A great way to experience Siena, Pisa, and San Gimignano and enjoy lunch in a winery!

Julie_S, Apr 2026
Taking my grandsons to Italy for their first time, I wanted them to see more than the large cities. This was the perfect opportunity. We had free time in all 3 towns and enjoyed them all. Lunch at the winery was outstanding! Gabrielle our tour guide was exceptional. He was so knowledgeable and entertaining. Overall a wonderful day!

Good food, Good laughter, Good group of toureres

We had a great experience exploring Tuscany with our guide, Fredericka. She was kind, patient, organized, and informative, making the long day feel smooth and enjoyable. The tour is long but worth it for the beautiful countryside, with free time at each stop to explore and learn about the towns.

Excellent

Mary_I, Apr 2026
Olga was a brilliant guide and very informative and helpful. One of our headsets didn’t work which spoilt the experience for one of us.

Avoid the winery visit

Szelagp, Apr 2026
It was my third time in Tuscany and I wanted to show it to my older friend so we booked a tour instead of self driving. It sounded really good, we have seen Siena and San Gimigniano however winery was a really “Walmart” type of experience. I have been in real family owned wineries before in Tuscany but that was just like a fast food type in the magazine, no real decoration and overpriced wine. No view, very industrial. Such a disappointment

A great day

Eric_J, Apr 2026
Exactly as advertised. The whole day was great, not more than an hour and a half between sites, which gave us plenty of time at each location. The pace of the walking tour was good, even for my elderly parents. And lunch at the winery was great.

Simply an amazing day!

Kunal_S, Apr 2026
We have been on tours in various countries and regions over the years, but this may have been the best one we have ever taken. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to spend a day in four amazing locations. Starting with our guides: Constantine and Alex were fun, the tour was well constructed and we learned a ton along the way. They were funny, knowledgable, and passionate about Tuscan history and sharing this with us. Our driver, whose name I regretfully have forgotten, kept us safe throughout - navigating country roads and expressways in a massive luxury bus with ease. We started the tour at about 7:30a at the local bus station. There are multiple buses that go out at the same time to various locations (Cinque Terre, etc.). You will be given a sticker (green, red, etc.) corresponding to your tour group. We were in the Green group and boarded the bus at about 7:45-7:50. There is a lot of commotion at the stop so be prepared for this. Constantine explained the day, how we would operate in each city, and how the group would move together until free time. Our first stop was Siena - about a 50 minute drive from Florence. After a 1km walk from the bus stop to a local square, we were met by a lovely and knowledgable tour guide who took us around the city on a 30-minute walking tour - she was knowledgable and deeply passionate about the beauty of the city, highlighting landmarks such as the Duomo and the Piazza del Campo. We had plenty of free time in Siena as well to stroll the streets and also visit a lovely open air pop-up market. We were then taken to a lovely vineyard for lunch and a wine tasting. The owner of the vineyard met us at the bus and shared the history and beauty of the vineyard. Lunch and the 4 wines we tasted were excellent - do not skip on the balsamic vinegar - it is life changing. Next we visited San Gimigiano, where there is quite a bit of uphill walking, but the payoff is a gorgeous medieval city. After a brief explanation from our guides about the city and the landmarks within, our family ate gelato in the beautiful square and strolled the streets. We had about an hour here - I will warn you that the shops are very expensive compared to other places, but some of the leather pieces were extremely high quality so you get what you pay for! The real magic is just outside the city walls where you get incredible views of the Tuscan countryside. Finally, we had a 90 minute drive to Pisa - perfect for a nap. When reaching Pisa, you will be asked if you want to walk to the main square, or if you want to take a toy train. Our children were tired, so we paid the fare for the toy train (I think it was 6 Euros per adult) which saved us about a 15 minute walk. Pisa is 100% free time - we spent about an hour in the square with the famous Leaning Tower and the beautiful Duomo. The meeting point for the train is a small restaurant with excellent coffee, and you'll be tired enough that a coffee is needed. We reached Florence at about 8:15p. The guide pointed us to the train station for taxis - this is another ~15 minute walk, so be prepared for this. A few notes on the whole experience: I would recommend being prepared for a lot of walking - at least 10km throughout the day. In the three cities, the bus stop is relatively far away, and with the exception of Pisa, you absolutely will have to walk. If you have small children or folks who have difficulty with walking, you will want to plan accordingly (comfortable shoes are a must), and plan to have a little cash so you can take the train in Pisa. There are (free) toilets at each stop - the guides will point them out. Be sure to use them as they are clean and there are no stops in between locations and no toilet on the bus. They will ask you if you want the vegetarian or non-vegetarian meal for lunch on the route to Siena. We did the vegetarian meal, which was a lovely pasta dish. We heard from others at our table that the meat dish was quite good as well. There is only one location where headphones are necessary - Siena. This is for convenience during the walking tour - honestly, our guide was loud enough (in a good way!) that we could hear her without the headphones! Unlike other tours, you will not spend the day with headphones in your ears! Our tour did include a few French speakers - Constantine spoke fluent French, so he alternated between English and French, giving the same exact information between both languages, so no one felt excluded. The French speakers were highly grateful for this and it built a nice sense of camaraderie amongst the tour group. Finally, be sure to be back on time - we did "lose" three folks in Siena (our guide gave them about 10 minutes grace but they did not make it to the meeting point or the bus) - but they caught up to us at the vineyard. 10/10 recommend taking this tour!

Fantastic trip and fantastic tour guides. John was brilliant! Very knowledgeable, friendly, informative and helpful. The wine man at the vineyard was excellent too! Thank you.

One of the best tours...

Kartikeya_C, Apr 2026
One of the best tours we've ever done. Siena, wine tasting, amazing food, and Pisa all in one day — and John and Margaretta made every single moment special. They were friendly, funny, and incredibly knowledgeable. The food alone was worth every penny. Don't hesitate — just book it!

Excellent tour: good...

Lorenzo_B, Apr 2026
Excellent tour: good organisation, perfect to see the best of tuscany with little time. There's anyway limited stay in each place: if you decide to visit the cities without the guide, do not plan lots of things to do/see or you may run out of time.

Long day but worth it

Deborah_S, Apr 2026
Great trip it was a long day but John and Francesca were amazing. Great communication for all 70 people on the tour. Probably should have been clearer that if you chose not to have lunch there was nowhere else to eat. I could not pay for lunch by credit card due to the two factor authentication so John paid for us and I repaid him in cash. John went over and above.

Great value.

Constantin, the tour guide lead, Alex, his co-captain and the bus driver Recca, is the A Team you want if you are going to be on a 12 hour tour. Must have!

Brett_B, Apr 2026
Great experience in all the places we stopped. Crews/guides were professional and awesome. We had a great time and definitely will recommend this trip my families and friends!!! Thanks!

Short but sweet.

Phillip_R, Apr 2026
It was a long day but glad we were able to see several landmarks in one day. The wine tasting was good. Leo was a great host. He gave us several more pours because we asked to taste more wines. We could have used a couple more hours in Sienna, Pisa, and San Gimignano but it is what it is. Constantino and Bella were our guides. They did a great job giving us some knowledge and tips while injecting some humor. Our driver was also awesome. My wife usually gets sick on tours but not this time.

Expect extra fees!

Angela_R, Apr 2026
Expect additional charges! When we were on our way to Siena the guide informed us that there would be an additional 13 euros a person to enter the Cathedral which we only had about 10 minutes to see inside. When we booked the excursion in September, the entry fee was included. It stopped being included the end of October. We should not have had to pay the additional fee! When we were arriving at Pisa we were informed that it would be a 20 minute walk to the Tower and a 20 minute walk back which would give us only about 20 minutes there but we could get a trolley ride there for an extra 6 euros each in cash. These fees should all have been included! In Sienna the audio from the guide was terrible. There was a lot of static. When we mentioned it we were told we had to get closer to the guide. It didn’t help.

Supportive staff experience.

Shamiso_M, Mar 2026
I booked the Tuscany day tour. Our guides were really informative and engaged really well with the group. Our first stop was Seine ..And for me. This became my first and last stop..As through my own mistake, I found out I misheard the guide instruction for meeting time..And to top matters of , when I took a video of the meeting point, I didnt capture the full?meeting point. Whilst trying to figure my way out of the square, Ciao staff contacted me..Thats when they informed me, I was now 15 mins late for the group and they were waiting. I was mortified, that I was late .I truly want to express my apologies and thanks to Ciao and my group as they tried waiting..Needless to say they couldnt wait any longer.Ciao staff kept in contact through-out the call, and considered meeting the group at the next stop, however it wasnt possible. So I made my way back to Florence. Hopefully in the near future, I will make my way back to Florence and experience the full tour. Once again, apologies to everyone on my group and Ciao staff. See you soon!

Don't forget the Vinegars

Milo_N, Mar 2026
We did the tour with Gabriel as our tour guide and Renaldo the bus driver and we had a splended time. There was too much to see, but it gave us ideas of what we needed to do the next time we come to Italy. San Gimignono was absolutely gorgeous, Siena was wonderful to see and if you are not a wine drinker you need to sample the 12 year, 20 year and 25 year aged basalmic vinegars as well as the sweet onion vinegar. The tastes were out of this world and we had to buy 6 bottles.

Tuscan Delight

Rick_T, Mar 2026
This tour makes for a long day, but it was well worth it. Alex, Carmela, and our driver took very good care of us and we were a large group, almost 70. I also recommend taking the tram from the parking lot into Pisa for that part of the tour it is six euro round-trip and well worth saving the steps because you have a pretty long walk to get into the area. If you are thinking about touring the baptistery in Pisa, you may want to book those tickets in advance because it’s typically a long line to get in and your time is short. There is a famous gelato place in San Gimignano, but skip the line and get your gelato and capuchino at the little cafe on the corner. Just as good if not better! Lunch at the Tuscan winery is FANTASTIC! You will want to order wine and have it shipped to your home. Buy a case assorted (wine, olive oil, truffle oil) for the best deal. Skip the super Tuscans and get the Chianti!!!!

A lot of fun. They made...

Christopher_R, Mar 2026
A lot of fun. They made it easy to get a quick tour of 4 different stops. Totally worth it. I recommend.

Great day trip
