Truly enjoyed the entire tour. The long ride to and from Athens was relaxing. The drivers got us through the entire trip safely, thank you! Clement, was an amazing tour guide. His knowledge of the monasteries and landscapes was impressive, and he shared it with such enthusiasm that it made the experience even more unforgettable. His friendly and approachable demeanor put me at ease, and I appreciated his insights so much. When I returned to the bus early, he even took the time to suggest nearby spots with stunning views, helping me capture the perfect shots. Thanks for an incredible experience!
HIGHLY recommend this tour!!!!! Our tour guide Vasilis was professional, friendly, knowledgeable and flexible. Excellent English and good communication! He grew up in Athens and knew the city well. My daughter and I enjoyed driving around the city in the beautiful Mercedes sprinter van with chargers and bottled water provided. Great recommendations on places to eat and shop. Really tailored the experience to us and made us feel very important.
It is a long day (about 12 hrs) , you get to see a lot. Good way to see a bit of Greece outside of the city. Beautiful countryside and very well maintained highway system. Delphi is an amazing location. It does require a bit of effort to get up the hillside up to the stadium. The cave is interesting to see just be prepared to have a bumpy ride. The cave is not a commercial made up location for large
bus tours. I am glad to have seen it. Overall enjoyed the day!
We had a great time touring the Acropolis and Athens city center—it was a perfect mix of history, amazing views, and exploring the city. Peggy and Vivi were fantastic guides, super friendly and knowledgeable, and they made the whole experience really fun and easy to enjoy.
This tour was our highlight of Athens. The tour guide always makes the difference and our guide was Aphrodite. She was so personable and knowledgeable. We had plenty of time for viewing and she kept us moving. I don't feel like we missed anything. This was a wonderful and memorable experience thanks to Aphrodite.
Got an early start and drove out of the city towards Delphi. It takes a bit to get out of the traffic but the countryside is beautiful. The mountains are especially incredible. The tour and guide at Delphi was top notch and the weather was perfect. Lunch at the local taverna was excellent and seeing the snow on the way back was quite a site. Highly recommend and would definitely take this tour again
Best way to get an overview of the city and sights and history!
This was such an amazing way to experience the Acropolis and nearby areas! We were going to do it first day to orient ourselves, but due to rain put it off til last day in Athens. A great way to recap and to see everything from new angles. Our guide Reya (not sure spelling) was funny, nice, and super knowledgeable. We got our absolute best views of the Acropolis and temples atop, rode through Plaka and Monastiraki streets, saw the Zeus temple, wound through the gorgeous National Gardens, and she took us to see the changing of the guard around the corner from Syntagma in front of the president's residence. No crowds at all unlike the other place! The bikes were comfortable and easy to ride and she was very careful to make sure were were all safe and together at all times. Completely worth it and a great way to begin or end a trip to Athens or at any time!
We are so glad that we booked this tour, especially the early start. Our guide Niamb was fantastic with a wealth of experience and knowledge. The early start meant we were cool enough and beat some of the crowds. We booked the museum ticket at the same time which was invaluable. Took my 77 year old mum who managed it well. Would highly recommend.
Our guide/driver welcomed us in a small group. We were comfortably transported to Delfi. She presented some of the history of the area during our transportation. We were free to explore the site on our own at our pace. The museum presented some interesting artifacts. The venture to Arachovia was close. Interesting area, good food. Thank-you for the opportunity!
This experience is like three tours in one! We had a fantastic day with a very knowledgable guide. The first part was a walking tour through the city, then we met up with more people before heading up to the hill to the ruins and ended our day with a tour of the Acropolis museum (which was only the two of us with our guide). I highly recommend going to the museum to get a better understanding of what you see at the ruins site. Tina walked us through the museum and did an excellent job of making the connections between what we had just seen throughout the ruins and the museum exhibits. We greatly appreciated that we were not rushed and that our guide spent extra time with us to make sure we saw everything. Tina's pride in her country, as well as, her love of history and mythology was evident throughout the entire day.
I ate breakfast before the 9:30 tour- big mistake!! I couldn’t enjoy all the food they gave us, which included large sesame pretzel type thing, charcuterie with three kinds of homemade sliced meat, feta cheese and a delicious cheddar type cheese, wine and raki, fresh grapes (the best ever- so sweet and fresh they popped when you bit them, a beef sandwich called a slovakia or something like that, and lastly a fried dough covered with honey and cinnamon. We had to walk to each place, so went through many different neighborhoods. Besides these two places, we went to a honey and olive oil tasting and a tasting for Greek liqueurs. In the honey and olive oil place, I bought some honey/based creams. Our guide Micki (Nicki?) spoke excellent English and was very knowledgeable and nice. Our group of 8 got along very well. Lots of exercise and good food! It exceeded my expectations
We enjoyed our experience greatly. PLEASE HEED THE ADVICE TO BUY THE SITE TICKETS THROUGH THE TOUR COMPANY! It is confusing that tour and site entry tickets are separate. Others on our tour didn’t do this which created unnecessary stress and delays.
Bring double the water you think you need and wear sun protection and sturdy shoes. We toured in early May and it quickly became quite hot.
