Beautiful and so neat to see the Monasteries! Delphi and Archova were cool to see as well. Long day but soo worth it. Constantine was soo personable and informative. One of the best tour guides we have ever had. If you want to avoid the big tours than this is the one for you.

“Our private full-day tour to Meteora, Delphi, and Thermopylae with Paddy was incredible, even as a 12‑hour day. The monasteries at Meteora were the highlight for me – there are a lot of stairs, but Paddy made sure we were prepared with water, good timing, and never made us feel rushed. The pace of the whole day was well thought out so we could actually enjoy each site instead of just checking boxes. He’s extremely knowledgeable about Greek history and mythology, and he explained everything in a way that kept our group of five engaged even when we were tired. Safety and logistics were handled smoothly from start to finish, and having it as a private tour made it feel like the day was built just for us. I would absolutely recommend this tour, and especially Paddy, to anyone who wants to really understand Meteora, Delphi, and Thermopylae instead of just seeing them from a distance.”

As retirees, we do not typically rise to the starter's blast of an alarm. And yet we accepted the lure of visiting Meteora and Delphi in a day. We were off at 6 am when Sebastian invited us to take a seat for adventure. It is quite the bite to race from Athens to Vralaam monastery but Sebastian was up for the task. He was capable enough to point out the changes in scenery, the current crops, the difference in topography, and fill us in on the religious history that lead to this region's attraction for the monks. After a leisurely visit thru the incredibly beautiful grounds, precious art, informative museum, and functional areas of monastic life we cruised the scenic outlooks to see the other monasteries that look down from the cliffs. The whole area is geologically fascinating and the mind boggling structures are crafted onto the cliff edges as if nature anticipated their construction. The obligatory pit stop for a gyro, and fries got us back on course and headed toward Thermopylae. This pass around the backside brought perspective to the Greco-Persian wars. The monuments recalled Thespis, the fall of Leonidas, the third and final stage of the battle here where the Persian archers rained arrows down on the remaining warriors. Sebastian's narration kept pace with our journey and was about to reach it's final lap as Delphi came into view. An excellent example for the preservation of antiquities. The museum gave us a solid background for our walk thru the archeological site. This walk through historic treasure gives scale to the history and civic accomplishments of the time. We hit the finish line with dinner of greek salad, dolmes, tzaziki with bread, pastitsio, gemista, and red wine. After a 13 1/2 hour trip Sebastian returned us in a more educated and happily entertained condition. We had a blast!

Paddy the tour guide and driver was very entertaining and knowledgeable. The history lesson he provided was very informative Provided us with snacks and drinks. If you want a long hours tour Paddy is “ The Guide “Go Paddy!!! The dinner on the other hand after the tour was anti - climactic.

Delphi and Meteora are a must see! Our driver Georgio was terrific. Here are things to consider: in 7 different tours booked through Viator we were driven in a van. This tour asked us for an additional $150 euro to get a van. Since the tour for 4 people was about $900USD, I said no, so we were tight in the Mercedes coupe we were driven in, the check engine light on the entire 12 hour day. Dinner was edible but the worst food we had in Greece. Sorry to complain but travelers need to know this before booking.

Overall, the vehicle was comfortable, and the driver was very friendly and accommodating. However, there were a few areas that could be improved. Only one snack option was available, and sodas were not provided despite being advertised. On the positive side, the restaurant selected for the dinner stop was excellent and exceeded our expectations. Delphi and Meteora are stunning and definitely worth visiting. One disappointment was that the driver skipped two locations listed on the itinerary, explaining that there was not much to see at those stops. Despite these minor issues, we had a wonderful day overall and enjoyed the experience.

Avoid this operator at all costs

AVOID! AVOID!! AVOID!!! Very poor experience overall. Operator suggested to take a van for convenience due to long travel; Paid $200 extra for van. Van seating was nothing but inflexible bench seats. This lead to very uncomfortable ride. Driver excessively speeding throughout the trip. Finished overall what it is supposed to take 14 hours; under 12.5 hours mostly because of speeding. Sight seeing was self directed with little guidance from driver. Dinner arrangement post trip was horrendous. Place was owned by the operator. It was a dusty dungeon in a beat up neighborhood. Salad was huge chunks of vegetables; slapped with bottled /packaged cheap quality food. Wine was warm tasted like piss - literally. Had to get out of the place in a rush. Overall this is very bad. AVOID THIS OPERATOR AT ALL COSTS!!! I never give negative remarks. This experience was so bad that I had to leave one to help others in future.

This is an extremely LONG day in the car and very high intensity sight seeing. Lots of steps and steep inclines to see these sights. The sights were great. The host was very friendly, polite and professional. His driving was a bit erratic and very fast.

First, let me get this off my chest. The headline description of the tour- “private day tour” - is misleading. Later, in the description it states 1-4 persons will be in a Mercedes vehicle. I booked for a party of two which falls into the category of 1-4 persons for a private day tour. Right? Wrong. After booking and paying the fee, I got a message saying since we were the only two that booked that we needed to pay an additional $150 to make it private or they would cancel. I did NOT want a cancellation because it was going to be our last day and I really wanted to see the sites so I paid the extra fee. After paying the fee, I realized that I expected a private tour to begin with since 2 people falls within their 1-4 person listing. I contacted viator and they basically said “well you agreed to pay so there’s nothing we can do.” So, I just don’t get it but that extra money is paid and it is what it is. We did have a wonderful tour and Dimas was a great driver and guide. He took lots of pics for us and was a wealth of knowledge. Funny, too! Yes, it is VERY, very long but IMO I’m so glad we did it! I agree with another reviewer that Thermopylae was underwhelming which is crazy considering the battle that took place! Not the tour guide’s fault, FYI. Delphi was fantastic (get your quads in shape!) and Meteora was out of this world.

Amazing Meteora and Delphi trip!

We only had 2 days in Athens, but really wanted to visit Meteora. This private tour to Delphi and Meteora for my family of 4 fulfilled our wishes. It's a very long day as the trip is about 13-14 hours. However, we were privileged to have Paddy as our guide. Paddy was extremely professional and knowledgeable. He provided a lot of Greek history and made sure the itinerary went smoothly. Car was clean and comfortable with water and snacks provided. Paddy made sure we stopped along the way to have breaks. Meteora was beautiful!!! It was worth the long travelling hours. My family of 4 are all very happy we did the trip of Delphi and Meteora.

Exceptional Tour!!!

A MUST-DO trip if you’re in Athens! Yes, it’s a long day but it’s well planned and sooo worth it. The museum and archeological site at Delphi are amazing. The landscape is stunning. We stopped for 2 hours here which is the perfect amount of time. Meteora is breathtaking with the monasteries perched on the supernatural rock formations. The Varlaam monastery tour is well worth doing in the allotted hour. Thermopylae is underwhelming but provided a nice break from the long ride back to Athens. Dinner is ok, good portions and prompt service. Our driver and guide Marselo, was amazing!!! He arrived at our hotel early, always made sure we were comfortable… offering water, umbrellas, taking photos for us, opening the car doors, etc. He gave us in-depth historical background on all the places we visited and answered any questions we had. We really enjoyed getting to know him, felt very comfortable with him and shared many laughs throughout the day! It’s a 14 hour day that breezed by largely because Marselo kept us engaged and entertained on the long drive.

Long day but worth every...

Long day but worth every bit of time. We enjoyed our time at Delphi- the museum was bigger and had alot more to see than expected, as well as walking the ruins. Beautiful views- it was raining on and off but made for a cooler walk up. Meteora was amazing- another person in the group had done more research on this site so I was very amazed seeing everything in person. The Monasteries built on these rocks just jutting out of nowhere was so unlike anything all of us have ever seen. We had time to visit inside one and several other photo stops. On the ride back to Athens we stopped in Thermopylae which was neat to see. My only feedback would be it would have been nice to have dinner outside the city in a local taverna. Dinner was fine, they were very nice and lots of food but not a great spot in the City, “nothing to write home about” as they say. All in all amazing day and would def recommend this tour as a way to see a lot with just your group in one day.

Great trip. Long day but we'll worth it. Cristiano was at our pickup location early, the private vehicle was clean and professional as was guide. Cristiano provided great historical information at all sites before we entered but did not come in as a guide which gave the tour a very non rushed and relaxed atmosphere. The dinner at Theodores on way back was a great finish to the day, simple but delicious Greek cuisine. Good tour if you want Meteroa and Delphi in a day. Themoplayne was mediocre and not to exciting, Cristiano's history on it was more than enough. Worth the money

Amazing full day

Dallas was an excellent driver. He came to pick us up on time, and provided excellent instructions at each stop. He told us about each place we visited, and we had excellent conversations with him throughout the day. My family walked through Delphi (museum and archeological site) and Meteora (including visiting inside one monastery). We are very glad that we did this trip. The feast dinner at the end of the day was very welcome; we enjoyed the home-like cooking and homemade wine. There were several gas station stops during the long day for bathroom breaks and for stretching. I would recommend people to pack a lunch because there really isn't a lunch stop. Dallas bought drinks and some snacks at one of the gas station stops which we enjoyed.

I've travelled through many means of transportation, for example uber, metro etc to visit monuments all over Greece! This trip was one of the best decisions that I've made; having a private spacious vehicle with a knowledgeable driver/tour guide for a 10+ hrs itinerary (long ride). A shout out to Dallas for making our Grecian visit memorable. You can sleep in peace and stop anywhere you like and pick your own tour itinerary. The alternative way to get to the these places are with others on a bus that I find to be uncomfortable and inconvenient. So I highly recommend for small intimate groups and families !

It was a long whole day packed tour. But our driver and guide -PADDY made it very engaging. He gave very elaborate details of complete Greek history and all information about the monuments. It was raining a little bit and we had small kids in our group. Still we made everything on time. Paddy was very friendly and took care of all our needs including food stops, restroom stops, umbrellas for rain. Dinner at restaurant that was included was also elaborate seafood. Excellent quality. Owner was there checking all the time making sure we were taken care of

Wow what a trip. Sebastian was such an amazing guide. He gave me and my husband so much information about Greece, the sights we were seeing and also suggestions for our future travels in Greece including where to eat. More importantly he was very thoughtful and considerate throughout our whole trip. As to the sights, just wow! Meteora was the highlight of my whole trip in Italy and Greece! Marselo was very attentive to our needs took his time making sure my disabled husband was well taken care of. The tour was exactly what we were hoping for. Delphi meteora and thermopylae we did not feel rushed we saw everything we wanted to see. Highly recommend

A Must Not Be Missed Tour

This is one of the best tours I've ever taken! It's very well organized and you learn quite a bit. My guide, Ted, is the BEST! It's hard for me to believe he knows so much about these sites and their history. He came well-prepared and I could not have asked for a better guide. Grouping the three sites of the Oracle at Delphi, Meteora, and Thermopylae works well and there's food. This one's not to be missed. It's a long day but well worth spending it visiting these sites.

This tour is long, but worth it. One cannot describe The beauty of Meteora. Our guide, Cristos, was so knowledgeable and an excellent driver! He explained the history of the various sites in a way that we will remember them always. If you have the time and the desire to learn about Greek history and see these beautiful monuments, make sure to book this tour.

What a great way to see some of Northern Greece! A driver, Sebastian, picked us up directly at six in the Mercedes taxi. We were able to stop for coffee and breakfast on our way to see the monasteries. We made it there before any of the tour buses to see the area with less people. My husband really enjoyed seeing the battle site between the Spartans and the Persians. I never thought I would get to see Delphi in my lifetime, but this was also a special place. It had a museum and an archaeological site and was not overrun with tourists. It made exploring the archaeological site more enjoyable. Our driver was there to wait on us the whole time. He was very knowledgeable and gave us history of all the areas we visited. afterwards, we were hosted for dinner and drinks before being returned to our front door. if you take this Tori, you’ll get a whole days worth of history, fun, and adventure.
