Tour guide was difficult to understand. His trainee was fantastic! This tour does not include tour guide taking you into the Acropolis. It was a drop off and go on your own for 1.5 hours. Then lots of driving around town with few sites visited.

We took this private tour the first morning of our long weekend in Athens and I couldn't recommend it highly enough. As a family group of 7 it seemed like the best tour to do. Giannis our guide picked us up first thing in the morning and the Acropolis was our first stop. I strongly recommend that the Acropolis is visited as early as possible in the morning to avoid the crowds and (if applicable) the heat. The guide gave just enough information before he dropped us off and that left us free to meander in our own time around this truly remarkable archeological site. The rest of the the trip was a really fun tour round the other important sites and things to see. It was spot on for setting us up with a general feel and appreciation of the city and is perfect for anyone passing through or on a short stay. Giannis - our guide was super friendly, well informed and very flexible. 10/10

Our driver and his supervisor were both friendly, polite and very knowledgeable. It was a great experience.. On the part of the tour that we were on our own, we got lost trying to find our way back to the car, they found us. We would highly recommend Viator.

Athens is a large city with much to see. Four hours is a very limited time. Our primary goal was to see the Acropolis which we did, despite somewhat poor weather. Our guide was all you could ask for, knowledgeable, friendly, flexible and a good story teller. We had a delightful time despite the poor weather. He made us want to return one day and meet more Greeks.

Great way to see Athens in 4 hours.
Saw all of the major sights and the Changing of the guards was right in front of us. Panos drove us everywhere. Got us the best photo stops. Panos speaks English very well and knew his way around Athens when streets were closed for a marathon. Thanks Panos!

From start to finish, the experience was smooth and easy. Panos picked us up on time from our Port and took us to the Acropolis. He was very knowledgeable and you could tell very proud of his country. Our tickets and timing were perfect, no issues and we just beat the crowds. We took a nice city tour and learned a lot about the history of Athens. Panos made sure to give us a lot of opportunities to stop and get out and take pictures. We wanted to extend our time in Athens so Panos was able to drop us off in Plaka and recommended a FANTASTIC restaurant for lunch. 10/10 would recommend this tour and Panos!

Know this is a self tour of Acropolis with explanation by the guide before we toured. We also saw the Olympic Stadium from outside the entrance. Great viewing of changing of the guard outside the Presidential Mansion, with the guide pointing out perfect location.

Our private tour with Manos was great. He is very gregarious and funny. He is passionate about Greek culture and history and made a special effort to share places outside the normal tourist spots in addition to all the normal highlights on an Athens city tour. Ex: a scenic view of Athens where romantic Greek men like to make their marriage proposal and a great spot to watch the changing of the guards without the crowds. He also recommended a lively traverna filled with locals where we enjoyed a delicious dinner that evening. Spend time with Manos and you will be enchanted with Athens.

Pantelis was a fantastic guide! There was a bike race the day of our tour and a lot of the center city and the sites we were supposed to see were blocked off but somehow he found back ways to get to where we needed to go and also found some amazing substitutes for some of the places we could not drive by and see. He was very knowledgeable, personable, and went out of his way to make it a fantastic experience! He should get a raise (he did not ask me to say that)

Wonderful tour! Driver Pantelis was on time at the pier, well-spoken and polite. Gave us a great historical description of the various sights in the tour, you could tell he is proud of his country and its heritage. Was extremely helpful at the Acropolis, getting us there on time to start our tour, and even parked his car and came into the park to make sure we found the ticket booth and the ride assist up to the Parthenon. I would highly recommend this tour and tour guide in Athens!

No other way to go then private tours. Why get on a bus with 30 other people and be herded like cattle or be driven in a nice car and have one on one experience. Tolis is the best in the business, got us to all the best places ahead of the crowds and was such a knowledgeable professional.

We booked a private tour, with our own driver Giannis, we were able to do so much more and get in closer to the Acropolis before the crowds, we saw the changing of the guards at the President's house (not as crowded) and many of the sights around Athens. He was able to recommend a nice restaurant at the end of our tour. A much nicer way to tour.
