This is a private tour. Only your group will participate. The pick-up time is adjustable upon your request. Your personal driver will pick you up and return you to the same place or to the point you prefer. In case of a hotel, he will be waiting for you in the hotel lobby. In case of an apartment, he will be waiting for you at the entrance of the building. For airport pick up, he will be waiting for you at the arrival hall holding a sign with your name on it to spot him upon arrival. We will track your flight and our driver will be there on time. For port pick up, he will be waiting for you at the gate, just as you disembark, holding a sign with your name on it to spot him upon arrival.

We were very happy with our driver Spiros who was very professional, friendly and very knowledgeable of every detail we were interested in. He offered us complete flexibility on the options of the itinierary and the schedule of the day in Delphi, as we were not interested in stopping for lunch nor in the town nearby. He supported us in making the most out of our time at the archeological site and the museum. He also shared many useful information on Greece in general. Nice modern minivan and perfectly on time. We’ll keep a wonderful memory of this perfect day!

The tour was great overall. Delphi was very interesting and we opted to get lunch, and all of that was good. For the same day tour, you do spend a lot of time in the car. Be aware that if your tour returns in the late afternoon, there is a strong likelihood that you will get stuck in rush hour traffic.

Delphi trip.

To be clear, all you are getting is a private driver to Delphi. He takes you there, drops you off, picks you up to take you to a restaurant for lunch and then takes you back. That’s it. Having said that, our driver Stephanos was great. There was a taxi strike the day we went so he contacted us the day before to move up our pick up time an account for the increased traffic due to the strike. He made it clear that we could stop at any time if we needed bathroom or snack. Stopped a couple of spots for photos. Dropped us off at the entrance and was there when we were ready to exit. Took us to a really cute restaurant in Delphi and made recommendations for lunch. So to be clear, no complaints about Stephanos, but he just transports you there and back. Delphi up to the stadium was more of a hike than I expected and it was very hot. Some of the tours talk about lunch in Arachova. But if you get the option, I thought Delphi was nicer. But both are picturesque. Almost look like alpine villages.

There were many steps and an uphill walk sometimes without steps. There weren't handrails for most of the walk. I'm saying this to say our guide was able to give us the time to get to the top. This is one advantage of having a private tour. We were also able to stay hydrated with water he supplied us with. Our guide was also informative with the history on the drive to Delphi and answered our questions. The meal in a restaurant was great. We were allowed to order from the menu which had a variety of Greek food. He then made several stops for picture taking. It was a great trip.

We had a great day with Πανος (Panos) that began with a laugh when we were picked up from our cruise port. He was a wealth of Greek history and our conversation made the ride up to Delphi go by faster. We stopped in Aracova along the way and also had a delicious lunch in Delphi. We had similar conversations on the way back from Delphi, but he gave us an opportunity to rest after being in the heat of the archeological site. He provided us with water, the car was impeccably clean, and he handled our (numerous pieces of) luggage easily. The private tour allows for conversations with a knowledgeable local that you simply can't have on a group tour. It was also really nice to get picked up from our ship and not need to store luggage/get transferred to our hotel.

Excellent 1 day road trip. About 2.5 hours from Athens, Delphi is a great place to visit if you have the time. Both Delphi site and museum are worthwhile. The tour company was easy to work with and professional. Our guide, Spyros, was excellent. He is very knowable and provides the right amount of information. He is also a careful driver and was fully engaged taking care of us. He even arranged lunch in an authentic local place and reserved for us a great table with a wonderful view. Highly recommend.

Ancient History with Modern Hospitality

My husband and I really enjoyed this tour. Our guide, Kostas, gave us a lot of good information about Greek mythology, as well as the Delphi ruins that we were going to see. After we toured the archeological site and explored the museum, he took us to a local restaurant with breathtaking views and delicious food. He was also a great sport about taking photos of us. We highly recommend his services.

Fotis was an excellent guide and brilliant driver. He's very knowledgeable about Greek history and sights along the drive from Athens to Delphi. We got taken to a fantastic family-run taverna with excellent food and views. The minivan was comfortable and on time, allowing us to beat the crowds and the heat. With a small tour, we were able to request stops and alter the timing, which was helpful as we had young kids.

Delphi Excursion

Our family enjoyed this tour. We scheduled it at the last minute when another tour operator cancelled our previously scheduled tour. The guide drove us to Delphi while providing some interesting information during the trip and pointing out some historical sites along the way. We then bought tickets and toured Delphi on our own, which was nice because it allowed us to see things at our own pace. Walking around Delphi was pretty strenuous, but at the end, we had a nice, cool car to return to. We enjoyed this trip.

Day trip to Delphi for Texans

George was awesome and was very knowledgeable about the different sites he took us to. He was nice enough to take us to the A.E.K. Opap Arena since we are fans. The van was comfortable and fit all five of us perfectly. At each stop he gave us directions on where to go to enter, where to start our tour and maneuver so not to miss anything and showed us exactly where he would meet us after we were done. We never felt rushed, and he told us to take our time since there was a lot to see at the sites. The family-owned restaurant he took us too was delicious. We basically ended up trying each other's dishes and it didn't matter what you ordered; it was all great. The only minor complaint is George is a little soft spoken. I was sitting in the very back and I did not hear some of the stories he shared during the drive. I am still giving the whole trip 5 stars because it was stress free, booking this trip was easy, everyone communicated well, George was very punctual on where he would be and at what time. Highly recommend!

We spent two days in Athens and I really wanted to experience Delphi. This private tour was exactly what we needed. Fotis was a great tour guide. He is a very polite and personable young man with so much passion and knowledge about Greece's history. While the drive to Delphi is about 2 hours, it goes by so quick with Fotis. He and my husband talked about everything from basketball, the military, and of course Greece. After seeing Delphi, he took us to an amazing Tavern with an incredible view for truly authentic Greek food. The Tavern was really nice and the food exceptional. If you want to spend a day in Delphi, this is the way to do it.

This was a beautiful drive in a comfortable car with a knowledgeable driver. The ruins and museum were amazing. The mountainous hike had stunning views. We stopped for lunch at a restaurant with delicious Greek food with a gorgeous view. Spiros, our driver, was the best.
