Great day! The long drive was worth it. The Delphi Museum was amazing. I usually only like paintings. But, this wa an exception. The statues, the artifacts were a feast for my eyes. The grounds were steep and a slippery. No one fell.
John the archaeologist was knowledgeable and friendly. He has a master’s in archaeology.
The lunch was delicious. My husband tried something new and liked it.
It would have been nice to been offered a bottle of water. Not a deal breaker

Great day trip. Our guide was excellent and very knowledgeable. She provided great insights into the history of the archialogical site at delphi. The lunch option was excellent too and the timr spent at the town.

Great tour. Long day but tour guide Dr Michael G was terrific, and always enthusiastic in delivery. Costas deserves a medal for navigating the traffic in Athens. Very nice lunch. Happy to recommend.

Such a terrific day, despite the rain. Margaret, our guide, brought it to life brilliantly - outlining myths on the coach to Delphi, then joining up what we saw in the site with the finds in the museum. The lunch afterwards was really good too.

The museum tour was great. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the art. The bus ride was very good with just the right amount of informative narration. We had a comfort stop each way which they kept us updated about. The included lunch was very nice. The problem was the sheer number of steps leading up to the final site. It just was not doable for myself, my sister and 5 other people. There are no handrails like are required in the USA. I did not want to risk a fall, so I waited down below with the others.

It is a usual big bus trip, so go with proper expectations. It took us almost 3.5 hours to reach Delphi due to traffic and a "police check". Wifi did not work-not a big deal for us, but just to note. We got 1.5 hours at Delphi, one hour at the museum, and lunchtime in Arachova.

Long day. Worth it.
Long drive but scenic. Good included lunch in Arachova of chosen. Lots of small nice shops there.

This is a long day but worth doing the bus is comfortable and gets you there and under three hours with stops as necessary. The guide provides great info about the museum and then the actual ruins area and the brief stop on the way home for a meal or shopping is nice could’ve been a bit longer. We got back. It was about 11 hours but worth the time.

We had a fabulous guided tour of Delphi on Oct.21. What made it special was the extremely knowledgeable and helpful guide we had. From the time we stepped on to the bus, to the time we got off he was imparting his vast knowledge about ancient Greece and recommendations for what to see in Athens. He was the best guide we have ever had anywhere in our world travels. We opted for the 'no lunch included' option and found that worked best for us. It allowed us more time to explore the quaint village nearby.

Pretty disappointing all the way around. 7 hours on a bus, 2 hours in the museum and the temple site, a below par lunch.

Our Delphi day trip involves a journey from Athens and back, allowing guests to discover one of Greece's most important archaeological destinations as part of a full-day excursion. The programme includes guided visits to both the archaeological site and museum, followed by time in Arachova village, where lunch is served at a traditional local taverna.
We understand that the amount of travelling involved may not suit everyone's preferences. However, the journey is an inherent part of visiting Delphi from Athens and is reflected in the structure of the excursion. Regarding lunch, the selected package includes a three-course meal consisting of a salad, an appetizer and a main course, excluding drinks. We are sorry that the meal did not meet your personal expectations.

Was interesting and well organised John the archeologist was quite a good guide though tended to give too much information all of which could not be digested also needed to make breaks shorter and keep things running more quickly - overall the day was too long.
Having said that the overall experience was positive.

A well done tour, but keep in mind this is a tour with 50+ folks. In some of the museum rooms our group pretty much filled it, so we would have to move along so other groups could pass/enter. Margharita did a great job of making sure everyone was safe and able to participate in the tour. She had a considerable narrative the area north of Athens (Thebes and Marathon) that she shared on the bus ride as well as the deep well of information about the day to day life of the Oracle of Delphi and how it affected the ancient world. A good day and an interesting tour.

Gloomy day but our tour guide was amazing. Rained, all day. Our Tour guide was knowledgeable of the site and history. She took us to the site first than to museum. Definitely a plus because light rain became heavy towards the end. Place you wanna visit in Greece, the navel of the known world than. Great day. Tour guide kept us on time and back to Athens by 730pm for dinner. Cheers.

Educational, lots of good information, adequate time for lunch and bathroom breaks, with enough free time to roam around independently. Anastasia was great! The driver Nick was also very skilled in driving around narrow streets and rough weather. Highly recommended!

Lots of uphill steps to walk - seniors should especially take note. Restaurant choice was nice but they totally forgot to serve our table the third course!

John the archeologist was full knowledge of Greek history. Kept us informed about the ancient history. Described each segment very clearly with a twist of humor embedded describing the sites.

The female guide English became more difficult to understand the quicker that she spoke. The end of the tour dropping off point was not coinvent place in the dark to try to find a uber back to our hotel. The guide often walked a break neck speed and did not leave clear directions on where the group could meet her when they jogged to met her. She was extremely knowledgeable. The manager at the Hotel where we ate the meal that was included acted like he was angry he had to serve our food. The food was good and quick to the table.

We felt like Viator is booking entirely too many people on one tour, and not taking into account how many other tours are all at the same place at the same time. Our tour director was amazing, and worked exceptionally hard to make sure we had the best possible experience, however we felt mobbed in and crowded everywhere we went. We were jammed in tight with tons of others at the museum. And although you have no control over this, we both ended up sick following the tour which affected nearly the whole second week of our trip and the jammed close herd of coughing people we were in probably partially led to our catching the flu.

The guide told us we needed tickets to the Musuem but that was already included. We paid an extra $40 for tickets we did not need.

Tricky to rate this. Delphi itself was fantastic, very interesting and beautiful scenery. Just don’t book this specific trip.
The group size was far too big, it was a full regular sized coach. While in the museum, which is very small, the whole group could not see what the guide was talking about and most of us were having to wait to see the exhibit then ushered on quickly. We therefore didn’t really get to see anything in there.
As for the sight, we were only given 20 minutes free time which isn’t enough to appreciate it fully.
The guide was knowledgeable and knew her stuff, but she explained everything like it was a history lesson, didn’t make it interesting, fun or interactive.
The trip is advertised as an air conditioned coach. However the guide explained she hates the cold and had it switched off. Several customers asked for it to be put on as it was so hot, she put it on for 20 minutes then had it switched off again despite our requests.
If you do book this trip then I suggest you don’t book the lunch. It was average but by the time we ate we had no time to look around the town. There are plenty of places to get food yourselves.

Delphi is a major archaeological destination of exceptional historical importance, and visiting both the site and museum within a day trip requires careful time management, particularly during busy periods. We understand that you would have preferred more time to explore.
Regarding the air conditioning, we would like to clarify that the coach operates with a central air-conditioning system, while passengers can individually adjust the airflow through the vents above their seats. The system was operating during the journey, rather than being switched off by the guide, and passengers could adjust their own vents according to their comfort.

Museum was awesome. The guide explained a lot of facts at the ruins. It was a long bus ride with a short rest stop. Arachova a is a tiny town where we had lunch but not enough time in the town. Did not like the food at all at the choice with our tickets.
