The tour was great, started promptly and our guide was very knowledgeable. I think the time we spent was just enough. A great full day trip, but we managed to get back in town/Athens to have enough time to stroll and have a nice dinner. Delphi is beautiful and lots of history to learn. Our stop by the near town was also a treat!

We had such a fun day visiting Delphi! We toured the museum and then walked through the archaeological site. It was incredibly hot in July, but it was definitely worth it. The walk to the stadium was strenuous especially in the heat but I’m glad we saw it. The drive was worth it to see the mountains along the way.
We also stopped in Arachova, which is a charming mountain/ski town. We had a delicious lunch and had about 30 minutes to walk around, shop, and take it all in after lunch. Try the local cheese. There are some local shops near the Taverna where you can pick up some unique local souvenirs and treats.
Our guide, John the Archeologist , was amazing. He was knowledgeable, engaging, and had a charismatic personality. You could tell he truly loves what he does, and that made the whole experience even more enjoyable.💙

There are plenty of bathroom stops and brakes along the way. It’s about a 3 Hour Dr. but it’s beautiful and you get a lot of the history. At the end of the tour you get time to explore on your own, which was great! Our guide was the best.

We left on time. Coach was very comfortable. Our guide Dimitri was very knowledgable and helpful.. we learnt lot about greek culture. Food was excellent

Very qualified guide to review all the history and artifacts. Plenty of time stopping at rest area for the long drive. Lunch good. Tour through museum was great. Hike to the ruins on hot day in the sun was a little trying. Location was amazing!

Truly an incredible place to visit, the site was incredible, and the museum was very helpful. I wish we had an additional 30-45 minutes at the site, since we didn't have time to really explore or go up to the stadium. On the other hand, while the town was cute and I'm glad we went, we did not need an hour and a half for lunch and exploring, as the town was so small. But the site was great, the museum was good, and we had a really fantastic tour guide.

Elizabeth was our tour guide on this great day exploring Delphi. She wasn’t just providing information when we arrived at the main site, but also explained what we were seeing around the city as we departed on the bus from our Athens meeting point. It was like two tours in one, which was great. The bus was comfortable and had WiFi. We had a stop on the way for bathroom breaks and to get any coffee, snacks, etc before continuing on to Delphi. Overall it was an excellent planned day trip.

The time traveling to and from passed pretty quickly on the bus. (about 3 hours total). The site itself was very interesting, lots of interesting artifacts in the museum. The included lunch was nice with four choices for the main course. The village of Arachova was cute, but not very many shops open which was surprising for the summer month.

Not suitable for elderly or injured ! Uphill walking involved, could be very uncomfortable in hot weather.
Otherwise a good tour .Lunch was provided - adequate the bus was luxurious,& a great driver!

Wear good walking shoes , uneven and hilly , very exposed , sunscreen and hat required , But OMG the guide is great , the views amazing , explanations thorough , B.C. stories abound as you walk these paths you're sharing with Alexander the Great for one :) . A fabulous experience followed by an authentic village lunch and informed ride back to Athens.

We did several tours across Greece with different operators, and looking back, this one felt quite average in how it was run. The Delphi site itself is undeniably beautiful, and the stop in Arachova for lunch was lovely. However, the timing provided throughout the day didn’t feel adequate and well thought out.
Our group happened to be small, which helped, but I’m not sure how well the schedule would work with a larger group. Our guide wasn’t particularly insightful and seemed a bit too relaxed about meeting times. This meant we were repeatedly waiting for late participants at every stop. At one point, she didn’t notice that someone had been left behind, and we had to turn back to find them — causing about a 30‑minute delay on the return.
The museum portion is about 1 hour, followed by 1 hour guided at the archaeological site, and then 20–30 minutes of free time to explore the upper areas (the theatre and stadium). We felt this wasn’t enough time, especially since it wasn’t made clear earlier that we’d need to explore those upper sections on our own. With better communication, we could have planned our time more effectively.
Overall, the destination is incredible, but the tour itself could be better organised.

The tour guide and bus driver were very good. It is a long day, but worth it. The views are amazing and the town of Delphi was very nice. The lunch we had included was worth the additional cost and made it very easy. The only negative thing I can say is that the tour was scheduled to last 11 hours and we were finished within 10. It would have been nice to have 30-40 minutes longer in the town of Delphi.

Well-organized day trip to Delphi. Micheal G. was a knowledgeable and charismatic guide and I appreciated that he had academic training in archaeology and Greek art. He wove myth and modernity together in a fun and engaging narrative through humor, culture, and personal anecdote. (Best wishes with your ongoing PhD!) Our driver, Apostolos, got us safely to and from our destination. Overall a good value for the price of the excursion, although I would have preferred more time in the museum and site instead of a stop in Arachova.

Nice drive and scenery-ruins not unique except for oracle fans. Too many people for one guide to deal with; museum congested; rushed through a lunch that wasn’t that special.

While we understand that historical sites appeal differently to different travelers, Delphi is widely regarded as one of Greece's most important archaeological destinations. That said, we appreciate that not every destination connects with every visitor in the same way.
We also regret that the museum felt crowded and that the pace of the day, including lunch, felt rushed.

The Delphi site is on a steep hillside, so be prepared to go up and down a lot of stairs, some of which are a bit rough.

Another bucket list item ticked off! This was a great day out to one of the most wonderful places in Greek history. We walked all the way to the top where the stadium is and my hubby had a broken metatarsal so was wearing a moon boot but still managed it. Then to turn around and walk back down the view is stunning! The trip was very well organised and the meeting point was very easy to find and walk to. Please don’t go to Athens and miss this, you will regret it!

My Son (10) and I loved our trip to the temple of Apollo in Delphi. Kiki was incredibly knowledgable and we learnt a huge amount. We opted out of lunch and found a fabulous restaurant (I don’t think you can really go wrong!), which had a great atmosphere over the holiday period! A thoroughly enjoyable and comfortable trip.
