Good Combination of Sites in Small Group

Small group with personal guide who has flexibility. Visits 3 important and interesting sites, though a bit briefly. At end of tour, option to stay at National Park site and do an easy and picturesque walk 16 minutes to center of Sitka. Tours start in Central location with cruise tenders or shuttles connecting. Fortress of the Bears is unique and fun too.

Enjoyable and relaxing

The trip took about 4 hours and a half. We were picked up at the dock and Mike the guide was very friendly and talkative all the time. He brought us to lots of photo shooting places and killed the silence along the way by introducing the city, the nature, the life in Skagway and so on. We stopped at the suspension bridge for about 45 minutes and it was beautiful. We got the chance to take pictures at the signs of welcome to Yukon and Alaska (respectively). The only pity was that we did not get a chance to spot any wild lives, but the whole trip was enjoyable and relaxing.

Wow

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to the Yukon. We saw around 10 mountain goats, 3 bears (1 brown colored), 1 porcupine, and 1 bald eagle. The snow capped mountains everywhere you looked (early June) was unbelievable. I highly recommend this tour. Oh yeah... it has a very good included lunch!

Skagway highlights

This was a great way to travel and see the Skagway area. We wanted to save money by booking local vs on our cruise ship and it worked out perfect. Our tour guide, Mariah, met us right off the ship. She had a lot of interesting info about the area. The area is beautiful and we went up to the Yukon as well. The highlight was getting our picture at the Alaska sign. I would highly recommend this tour.

Big thanks to our tour guide Joey. He was really knowledgable, relaxed & friendly. It was really lovely to see more of Ketchikan outside of the town. Amazing tour

This tour was awesome and chose this over the train as we were able to stop at many places where Mike our driver took any photos we wanted. He was awesome and gave a through history of Skagway as well as what it’s like living there now. He was very entertaining and an awesome guy. Highly recommend this tour!!!

Yes, you should book it

The Gulf of Alaska is not for the weak when the swells are big 😂 EPIC day though on the water, we saw pretty much everything as far as wildlife goes Sea Otters, Orcas, Humpback Whales, Puffin, Gulls, Dall’s Porpoise, Stellar Sea Lion, Harbor Seal, Back Bear, Mountain Goats and some Bald Eagles! Glaciers were wicked cool, incredible how big they are! The boat crew were also fantastic, good lunch and fresh baked cookies at the end 👌🏼 All in all it was a fantastic day

A do not miss!

Once in a lifetime experience! This was by far one of the best excursions we did during our 10-day Alaskan vacation. I don’t know where to start…first off…you’re on an actual crab fishing boat! Stories from each crew member…strike the core. The EAGLES…oh my word. That experience alone is mind blowing. This excursion is a must if you’re visiting Ketchikan.

Christopher was an awesome tour guide. Being a local, he had a lot of insight and knowledge beyond the average guide. The weather wasn't the best when we took our tour but Christopher made the best of it and still made the tour very enjoyable. We were able to see a bald eagle and a could of deer. We were a little too early to see the salmon, but again, Christopher kept us well informed and entertained. Overall, I wish the weather was better, but 10/10 would recommend.

If you’re even thinking about taking a Kenai Fjords boat tour, stop thinking and just book it. Our experience was beyond incredible. We were lucky enough to witness a super pod of over 50 orcas — something truly rare to see this late in the year, and absolutely unforgettable. But it didn’t stop there. We also spotted harbor seals lounging on the rocks, bald eagles soaring overhead, playful sea otters, and even mountain goats high up on the cliffs. It felt like nature put on a private show just for us. The wildlife was amazing, but so were the people. The captain and crew were fantastic — knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do. They made sure everyone had the best possible views, answered questions, and created such a fun and welcoming atmosphere onboard. This wasn’t just a boat ride; it was an adventure I’ll never forget. If you’re in Alaska, this is an absolute must-do.
