- Please ensure to select the correct passenger option when booking your tour. The space inside the aircraft and we want to guarantee everyone will be comfortable in the helicopter. Selecting the improper option or misreporting weight can cause tour delays and cancellations without refund.
- No-bag policy. If you have medical needs that require a carry on, please note at time of booking. All bags brought to base will be stored in the tour office until you return from your flight
- Dress warmly and in layers, and wear rubber-soled shoes such as a light hiking boot or athletic shoes. The tour company will provide overshoes and can supply raincoats as needed. Remember to bring your camera, film and binoculars!
- Subject to favorable weather conditions. If canceled due to poor weather, you will be given the option of an alternative time or full refund
- Please ensure your weight is in the correct format (kgs/lbs) when you include your weight at checkout
- WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS – Please remember that each passenger will be weighed at our facilities. Be sure accurate weights have been reported and proper passenger types have been selected for each passenger. Misreporting weights or selecting the wrong passenger type may cause tour delays and cancellations without refunds.
- ADA - We have an ADA lift that assists guests with getting in and out of the helicopter. If guests use the ADA lift, they will be required to stay inside the helicopter on the glacier. While on the glacier the pilot-guide will open the doors so guests can still take in the sights, sounds and smells. The ADA lift has a weight restriction of no more than 250 lbs. You MUST notify Coastal Helicopters if you will be requiring the ADA helicopter lift. ADA Transportation to and from our facilities provided.
- Failure to provide mandatory information will result in cancellation of bookings. You must provide individual weights and pick up location details.
- Coastal Helicopters will try our best to accommodate parties/families in the same helicopter. However, we cannot guarantee seating as it is all based on helicopter weight and balance, as well as the other parties within the flight. This will be determined at the time of check in once everyone on the flight has weighed in. Should your family/party be in split into multiple helicopters, the landing will happen together. Please also note that lap children are NOT allowed, and each passenger must purchase a full fare ticket.

The pilot was able to give us views I have only ever seen in an Imax theater! I can honestly say this was the single best excursion I have ever taken. I would highly recommend this for anyone wanting an up close view of Alaskan glaciers.

VERY expensive tour but it was nice to see the glacier ... of course the glaciers evolve and sadly my experience this time vs 20 years ago wasn't as incredible with seeing multiple different layers of ice.

Awesome experience for a first-time helicopter passenger (I was)! Everyone was on time and very professional. The pilot was great! I will say, if you're experienced in flying in helicopters, I would not recommend this tour for a "glacier hike." We touched down on a random area of the glacier and walked around the immediate vicinity- not a dynamic experience, but it was a good experience overall. Very safe.

We have learned to Depend on Viator. Prices are less than the cruise line, experience is better than expected, staffs are friendly and knowledgeable. The helicopter adventure was expensive but we will remember it for ever. Bite the bullet, spend the money and enjoy the trip!

Wonderful , a bucket list moment and unforgettable. Our Helicopter pilot was great , full of information and explanations . It is a must do. I was very afraid to ride in a helicopter but with the head phones on and the smoothness of the ride and the views it was a piece of cake.

Well worth the price. Beautiful scenery! Landed in the middle of the glacier and drank wanted from the stream. ( note: our weather was unusually sunny so be prepared for rain). Vendor was great. Pilot was engaging.

This was an amazing experience. Our pilot Brian went above and beyond to create conversation and educate us as we were flying. We felt safe and secure. He is an amazing pilot. Once we landed on the glacier, he allowed us to walk about, even encouraged us to drink the glacier water, which was a really cool experience. This excursion was one of the main highlights of our trip and I’m so glad that I booked.

I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Juneau, especially those who are traveling on a cruise ship. The view on the glacier is spectacular and otherworldly! Although Hubbard Glacier is a less visited spot (than Mendenhall), the experience is actually fantastic since we are the only group of people on the glacier and are thus able to fully enjoy its serenity.
In addition, the flight is smooth and rewarding, and our pilot Tim is super nice, experienced in operating and very knowledgeable! The experience is not cheap but definitely worth the money.

This was an amazing experience. I have never been on a helicopter, nor to Alaska. I was anxious but knew I had to do it! The people working at the location were extremely friendly, helpful, and reassuring. They have it so well organized that I had no questions. We were right on time, and enjoyed every second of the flight up to the glacier. We brought a water bottle to collect some glacier water so we could drink it. It was amazing!! Highly recommend this experience to anyone traveling to Juneau. It was much colder up on the glacier than in town, so be sure to dress appropriately!! Otherwise, just enjoy the amazing sights of nature.
