Excellent whale watching tour! Perfect group size!
An excellent tour from start to finish! Captain Josh and Joel were amazing! Josh was so graceful and accommodating when I called in a panic after booking the wrong time. We saw plenty of orcas and humpbacks and the drone footage was a wonderful bonus. Instructions were clear and the crew made sure we had a great time while ensuring everyone's safety. I easily found the meeting spot at Icy Strait Point, and Josh was there to greet us. Transportation to and from the marina is included, so we didn't have to figure out how to get to the boat. The group is small (max. 14 people) and the boat is comfortable with inside seating as well as plenty of room outside in front and in back so everyone can spread out and you don't feel like you're on a Greyhound bus on the water. I would highly recommend this tour!

We saw numerus whales!
The whale watching was a great experience. Although initial locations reached by our boat resulted in limited sightings, our all-female crew (Ashe, Michelle, and Monica) made an extra effort and travelled farther to a sweet spot with numerous whales to see! Viewing these animals in the wild was an exciting and rewarding experience for myself and family members. I would highly recommend it!

Fantastic!!!
Fantastic tour!! We saw a lot of wildlife and got up close to a massive glacier. Look up for the harbor seals resting by the ice flows near the glacier. You have assigned seats to have your meal or enjoy the tour from inside, but you are free to move around the boat. The crew is great! This tour is worth every penny.

Highly recommended!
This was a small boat tour with 15 people on board. The seated area of the boat is covered/enclosed and there is a small back deck which is open. We came in early September and were lucky enough to see groups of humpbacks and orcas bubble feeding. Also saw several otters swim by. The crew was super friendly and they had small bags of chips and some hard candies. We loved this tour!!

Not seeing something you are looking for?

No trip to the Last Frontier is complete without seeing some incredible wildlife. Alaska whale-watching tours depart from all of the state’s major port cities—including Juneau, Seward, and Icy Strait Point (Hoonah)—and vessels make it easy for cruise ship passengers to arrive on time for these exciting excursions. See humpback whales, orcas, and other wildlife up close during their annual migration, and marvel at their unique tail flukes as they dive near your boat. Plus, on-board naturalists offer interesting context.
