What are people saying about Alaska

Beautiful!
Jess and Grayson were very friendly. I felt very safe. We saw a whale in the distance before we even got into the kayaks. A seal cub came within a foot or two of our kayak! There were many bald eagles, starfish, and sea cucumbers. The water was quite clear and calm.

Small Group. Memorable Day!!
When looking at our excursion options we sought options with smaller groups (knowing that we’d want a break from the masses on cruise ships). This tour exceeded all expectations - all guides (Captain TJ, Naturalist Andrew and Driver) were kind and extremely knowledgeable. They were patient with my inquisitive 7 year old and generously took pictures with their equipment and shared with the group after. The boat was extremely comfortable and accommodating as well. We were thankful to be in a smaller group, where we could comfortably sit in the boat but also walk around to see the wildlife as well. And we were extremely fortunate to see “whale soup” - a large group of humpbacks feeding together for quite a while! We even made a stop to see sea lions and then a photo op with the Mendenhall Glacier from the boat. Thank you to TJ, Andrew, and Eli for a memorable day!

LOTS of whales!
It was a very positive experience. We got to see a lot of whales and a few that ended up coming really close to the boat. We got to see a really rare siting of a specific whale which was awesome. The crew and driver were fantastic. Also, this excursion was significantly cheaper than what Royal Caribbean offered and I thought it was great! Highly recommend.

Excellent Eco Tour
An excellent adventure while in Ketchikan. The excursion pickup location was very near our cruise berth. The excursion began and ended on time. Annika & Emily were friendly and fun. They were knowledgeable in history of the land and passionate about preservation of the ecosystem. They showed us edible plants and picked samples for us to try. Salmonberries & hemlock were my favorites. We had incredibly nice weather which made the bike & hike all the more beautiful. Our guides were patient helping us with the e-bikes. Our hike ended at a bay which was at low tide. We saw sea stars, crabs and little fish. I would highly recommend this tour- you won’t be disappointed.

Not seeing something you are looking for?

No trip to the Last Frontier is complete without seeing some incredible wildlife. Alaska whale-watching tours depart from all of the state’s major port cities—including Juneau, Seward, and Icy Strait Point (Hoonah)—and vessels make it easy for cruise ship passengers to arrive on time for these exciting excursions. See humpback whales, orcas, and other wildlife up close during their annual migration, and marvel at their unique tail flukes as they dive near your boat. Plus, on-board naturalists offer interesting context.
