This was an excellent tour. Dave was our tour guide and, as a Wyoming native, he was a wealth of knowledge and information regarding the lower loop. Dave was also great at advising us (2 separate groups during the tour) the order in which we should visit each stop on the lower loop to avoid large crowds. We got to ride about with the top of the bus open and that was amazing.
I recommend this tour to folks and I strongly recommend you request Dave as your guide!

We are spending two weeks at Yellowstone, and this was a great way, at the start of our stay, to get an overview of this massive and beautiful park. I couldn’t believe how much we saw and did in just one day!
Our driver, Dave, was great. He was both entertaining and informative, and made the experience even better!
I highly recommend this tour for others who are looking for an overview like we were. For those who only have a short time to visit, I would say that it’s almost an essential.

We had Phoebe as our tour guide. She made sure everyone could hear her well and that the van was comfortable. She had good snacks and plenty of water and knew where important stops like flushing toilets were. She has a good knowledge of Yellowstone National Park, clearly loves it and was enthusiast to share her knowledge about some of the historical information as well as the wonderment of the park itself. At one point in the tour she asked if we wanted to continue seeing geysers or look at wildlife. We all wanted to see wildlife, especially a grizzly and she did not disappoint us in finding a grizzly in one of the prime bear locations! The grand finale of the tour was the waterfall called the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. We actually went back a few days later and saw it again. It's a really nice to take a tour and leave the driving to someone else.

In Yellowstone for our first time so we decided to book through this company to make sure we got to see all the places we wanted to visit. Our guide was the Best, not sure we could have had anyone that would have made the trip more enjoyable. Very knowledgeable and kept us in stitches the whole day. He kept it real and made it fun. He was very attentive and gave us plenty of time to enjoy every stop. There was No Rush or hurry. Great choice and I would recommend this to any first timers in the Park. Mike was an awesome tour guide
He was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. It was a fun experience while also being educational. We saw things we wouldn't of by just driving through on our own. I would recommend this tour for anyone. Let Mike know he was right about the bison tenderloin steaks.

We got to see many of the highlights of Yellowstone, including a black bear!
Some roads were still closed and we had to backtrack so it seemed like a lot of driving. Our driver, Mike, made the best of it by sharing his knowledge of the park.

The tour starts early in the morning. You can meet the driver at the downtown Madison Hotel station or they will come pickup at certain hotels in the area. Our driver was very knowledgeable and helpful. By going so early we were able to see many wild animals you may not find later in the day. She was able to get our van over to the Old Faithful Lodge for the geyser perfect timing. We went on the lower loop tour and I feel we were able to see all the main sights. Got lots of great pictures that we will cherish forever. This comprehensive tour allowed us to return the next few days in our own car and have a better understanding of the whole Yellowstone experience. Highly recommended the whole day tour for your Yellowstone Park visit. Most fun experience was the bison jam!

My husband and I went on this eight hour tour in September. The driver and owner of the van Yellowstone Open Air Tours (307-587-6988), Sunny was absolutely wonderful!
The tour extended beyond the eight hours because she wanted to make sure we witnessed the springs and geysers when the skies cleared and see wildlife. We saw all the major features (geysers, mud pots, Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, upper and lower falls, etc) as well as bison, elk, a grizzly bear. Sunny has an engaging personality and provided very interesting facts and stories related to the park. Would highly recommend!

This was by far the best tour in Yellowstone! Mike knew sooo much about the lower loop. We were kind of gimpy getting in and out of the van, but Mike was beyond kind and helpful. We captured Some beautiful pictures thanks to Mike.

Great lower loop tour with an experienced and knowledgeable guide. We saw animals that we would have otherwise missed and hidden gems that visitors rarely know about. At popular crowded sites we were dropped off as close as possible. So nice to sit back and leave the driving to someone else while you get to watch the scenery.
