Deck hands were super help. It was

Poor planning. They should’ve told us they don’t have enough booking and there is a good chance of not doing the trip, instead we, and along with other people who booked all showed but we don’t have 12 people as they claim it’s the minimum threshold. But they knew in advance they don’t have enough booking. Instead they are counting on some people randomly just show up by chance. That’s not fair to us. They should have done better planning.

This was our first deep sea fishing trip, we had a good dose of apprehension. But, we were made comfortable by professionals and experienced helpers on board. My wife caught her first fish not only of her life but also among the fellow sailors. Our special thanks to Justin, he understood our fear and joy. Thank you!

I chose Blue Heron from an on-line search because of the location and price. I was with my grand-son for his first deep sea fishing experience. We lucked out!! Easy parking. Simple check in. Private dock. Clean rest rooms and a First Class skipper. The boat was spacious and spick and span. Crew was always there to bate hooks and fix tangles. When we got a fish on the line crew was there to help get it into the boat. We had great fun!!!

Staff was great and friendly but too many people in one area and everyone stayed tangled up most of the day probably could do a better job of explaining what people should do and how to fish in these conditions instead of just turning them loose.

Do not waste your time on this boat. Boat load of people and only 6 to 8 fish was caught. Stayed tangled up with others, sometime 5 at a time, several stations down. Nobody caught fish. Out of about 40 people and 1/2 day (4 hours) of fishing you could put all the cleaned fish in a 1 quart bag. Then at the end of the trip, deck hand stood there begging for tips, and then saying, what a sorrow bunch of people for not tipping. I did not tip. I paid to fish and expected, as usual on most boats, the captain would put us on some fish to keep from going back in with an empty catch. But, when on their private dock, they knew nobody is going to be there to see what a piss poor catch we had. Other fishing boats want you to catch fish to show off when you come back to the dock, this crew did not care. Waste of time and money. I was told to be careful about them, but I had already booked the trip.

The crew definitely tries to make your experience a good one, however, fishing off the same side of the boat as everyone else especially if there is a full boat of fishermen, there's more time spent untangling lines and changing bait then there is actually catching fish. Supposedly when drifting as the boat is stopped, Tangled lines when fishing from the same side as everyone else is a norm. There were fish caught and those people definitely had a good time as it did I. By the time I caught my one fish we were pulling up for the end of the period of time they allotted for us to fish before we had to return to the dock.

I didn't personally catch any fish but I did catch a good time. My daughter and I tried to do the afternoon the day prior but did not have enough people so we moved it to the following day. Only took about 15/20 minutes to get to the first spot and many were hooking up. Tried a few spots and got more coral then fish. I will say though all the crew was very attentive, friendly, communicative and present. they were always making sure bait was good, helping when lines got tied up, assisting in those who needed help with reels and what not. I have been on a few charters before and this is my top 5 for sure but I would suggest targeting the morning trips as the afternoons seem to not happen. I would go again and even do a full day trip if one was offered.

The Captain and Crew were top notch! We had a wonderful time aboard ship fishing. The crew were all hands to make sure our fishing needs was always taking care of. I will most definitely go out with them again the next time I come to West Palm. I could not of asked for a better Crew to fish with.

It was crowded and they only let us fish from one side of the boat. 95% of the time was spent with the crew untangling everyone's lines. Very little time if any fishing. We caught nothing of course.

Easy and fun. Can't beat the price. We caught plenty of fish on the entire boat. The mates made the day fun. Even when there were some inevitable tangles, the mates were very quick to get them situated.
