Amazing samurai experience! We came as a group of 8 and the whole session was rich, fulfilling, and left us wanting more. The two instructors worked seamlessly together — patient, passionate, and highly interactive throughout, with so much energy and professionalism. And they were incredibly cool! Through this experience, we truly felt the spirit of traditional Japanese culture. It was deeply meaningful. Highly recommended for any foreign traveler visiting Tokyo — absolutely worth it!

The start time is not implicit on the ticket nor on the bookings page on Viator. The add to calendar link on Viator apparently went to the default setting of 12 noon. As a result we were late and missed out on the experience, which my family was really looking forward to and paid more than $600 for. In fairness, the initial confirmation we got weeks ago did say that it started at 10:30 AM. But on the day of, the ticket doesn't have the time on it, and the add to calendar feature defaults to an incorrect time.
This was a professional samurai sword class. We arrived, and they dressed us in our practice samurai kimonos. The swords were metal and heavy but not sharp on the side. We learned basic moves and then a full fighting move. The instruction was great. They were careful and thoughtful. We were hesitant because it had few reviews but so thankful we booked it! It was an historical activity highlight. Book it!!
Great experience and fun way to learn more about the culture. Instructors were very knowledgeable and made the experience fun! They also took many pictures for us to post! Recommend!!
The very end of the experience - putting together what we learned into a sequence - was a tremendous amount of fun!
It was a memorable experience. We went with my 10 year old daughter and 14 year old son. We had a great time! The instructor was friendly and nice. The session was informative and fun. The assistant was very helpful and she took a lot pictures for us. The clothes were clean and the place was clean and neat. I highly recommend this samurai experience.

This samurai experience was the highlight of our family to Tokyo. Master Shin was talented, experienced, and a wonderful teacher. He infused humor with the young teens and made the action experience fun and safe. Such a wonderful memory for us. It felt truly authentic. Highly recommend!
