Step back in time to the old days and experience Japan like a ninja. This small-group class (maximum six people) introduces you to such ninja techniques as ninja meditation (Kuji-In) as well as the use of samurai weapons, including the sword. Get insights into Japanese fuedal times as you practise.

Based on pictures and description of the activity from Viator, I had made up a small idea in my brain what it might be.. but actually doing it far exceeded anything I was or was not expecting. The master was so nice and informative. He felt like an awesome family member and made the whole experience so much fun and exciting. We learned about many different Japanese martial arts and the. Actually tried them in gear. 2 hours went by like in 5 mins. The hands on part and immersive experience is very cool
and the way he taught us was so fun. Highly recommend as a family experience, you won’t regret it. Something out of the box of the typical tours.

This was a phenomenal experience. It was a great activity where one was introduced to techniques and weapons used by samurai and ninjas. The instruction was clear, safe, and thorough. It was a unique activity which was a welcome change in pace from visiting shrines and temples. I highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Tokyo.

The teacher Bodu, was very nice and great with the kids. We learned about ninjas and samurai, and we got to practice with samurai swords, ninja swords, throwing stars, and blow darts. My kids (ages 9, 7, 6) loved it and would do it again in an instant!

This was a fun experience where we learnt lots about ninja and samurai. We had the opportunity to try a varied number of skills including a lot of samurai sword skills. Our teacher was very patient and knowledgeable and as a family we had a great time

This was a great two hour class complete with history of ninjas and samurais and a review of their weapons. The teacher was great and made an effort to make sure I was coordinated properly and safely all while having so much fun! I spent 5 days in Tokyo and two weeks later I am writing this review while in Osaka right now. Anyone and everyone I have met along the way now knows about this experience and I highly suggested they take this very unique experience. This is great for families and groups of friends to do, even solo travelers like me! Don’t hesitate, book this experience!

Great experience with lots to do. I was presented with some good historical and cultural highlights for ninjas and samurai to learn a bit about them. Hyoga sensei was very good at teaching us the ways of the ninja and samurai

Nestled amidst the serene surroundings, it offers a sense of discovery, as if you’ve stumbled upon a hidden training dojo. Engaging in the two-hour experience, I thoroughly enjoyed learning how to wield the samurai sword, ninja stars, and blow darts. The instructor is exceptional, providing personalized guidance throughout the session.

We booked this activity a few days into our Tokyo trip and it was honestly one of the highlights of our trip. There were 5 people in our Ninja class and 3 in our Samurai class. We learned a lot, got to try out throwing stars, chop sticks and blow darts. Our instructor was great- very capable, very funny. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Finding the Ninja/Samurai experience was quite easy. It was a direct walk from the station. Enjoyed the experience with my wife and two kids (13 and 11). We all had a great time and learned a lot about ninjas and samurai's, in particular the respect given to their katanas. Our ninja trainer, Bodou, did a great job, made us all comfortable and with some added jokes. Highly recommended.

We arrived to the building and walked the four short flights of stairs. The elevator was not working so keep this in mind just in case you are with someone that may have difficulties climbing stairs. The instructor changed us into ninja outfits and began explaining some history and guiding us through breathing techniques. We practiced stealth-walking, using a ninja sword, using a samurai sword, throwing stars, blow darts and so much more. This activity exceeded all of our expectations and we had a ball. I highly recommend this to anyone that wants to learn, have fun and do something different in Tokyo.

It was an amazing experience, the coach was very knowledgeable and patient. Explained all the different signs, how to swing a sword, use ninja equipment and all of their different uses. Would definitely go again or take another lesson, as it was a lot of fun.

I booked this experience for my brothers and they thoroughly enjoyed it! Sensei was fluent in English and very knowledgeable about Japanese arts. The boys had a fantastic time getting to be a samurai but also learning about the history too! They were attentive during the whole session and weeks later still say it was one of the best experiences they’ve had!

Our instructor not only knew his stuff, but he was funny and made everyone of all ages and skill levels feel right at home. Forget embarrassment and just go have some fun. I think everyone was surprised how quick you pick things up. Would totally go again!

This was a great experience to understand the “tools” used by the Ninja and Samuri and an opportunity to learn how to use them. Our instructor was certainly well qualified in these skills. It was a fun experience. Our instructor was very patient and obviously sincere about sharing his skills. I would absolutely recommend this experience.

We had so much fun in this class! Not only was the instructor knowledgeable but he was also funny and fun to learn from. I never knew the history of Ninja and Samurai but he gave us great background information and were genuinely intrigued. We got a chance to throw ninja stars, swing a Samurai Sword, learn the difference between a Ninja Sword and a Samurai Sword and so much more! I highly recommend this great experience and I’m so jealous of anyone that gets a chance to take it for the first time as I wish I could do it over again!

This was a great experience and a lot of fun. We had an awesome instructor who was both informative and entertaining. He taught us how to use a ninja sword and let us practice with a real metal one (not a wooden one like others said they used on their tour). We threw ninja stars and blow darts at targets. We received a lot of personal attention since it was a small group of people. We took the train from the Yokohama station (which was easy) and had a delicious meal at an Indian restaurant when we got off the train before going to the class. We had a great time at Ninja lessons. Dressing up was fun, it really helps you immerse yourself into Ninja mode. Hyoga was our instructor and he made the lesson fun, informative and memorable.

My class had a mix of people in their 20s and 60s. Everyone completed the training and had a great time. You will dress like a Ninja, learn Ninja tactics and skills, and perform moves and routines using samurai and Ninja weapons. You don’t need to be an athlete to do this.

The samurai and ninja training class was definitely on of the highlights of our trip. Our instructor was patient, knowledgeable and made the class really fun for all of us. From the minute we walked in to the minute we left, it was an engaging experience.

A fantastic experience. I leant so much and was treated with so much respect even though I'm an older guy. I really enjoyed the whole experience and would highly recommend it. Only disappointed I didn't learn how to jump up into trees backwards LOL. I learnt the history along with how to use a sword, throw star knives, use a dart gun
