Learn the ancient arts of the ninja during this fun-filled introduction to key ninja techniques, culture, and weapons. During this small-group Tokyo workshop and demonstration, learn a range of practical skills—such as how to throw a ninja star and how to draw a samurai sword—and also discover key ninja philosophies, take part in a short meditation, and have time to take photos.

This was a wonderful and memorable experience - highly recommend. It was the perfect mix of history and hands-on experience. We learned so much and had a great time. We loved hearing about the clan history, the various weapons, dressing as a ninja, trying some skills out. The woman who owns the dojo (whose descended from a great samurai house) and the gentleman samurai and female scribe were great - so kind and knowledgeable.

This was such a highlight of our trip with our two kids (10 and 12). It was a pleasure to meet everyone at the dojo. Such an educational and unique experience. Our interpreter was so knowledgeable and was part of a long line of samurais. We loved this!

Our family loved this experience. In a cool part of Tokyo and learn from a real Samurai clan family. Learn about their history, touch and feel weapons, dress like a samurai and learn basic sword movements. Throw stars, blow darts and learn the ways of sneaking around like a ninja. Kids (12 and 14) loved it. So did parents.

This was an amazing experience! Highly recommend! This is not a play fighting sword touristy experience. You learn about the ninja life, tools they use and how to use them. The master and his assistant were great. She translated everything in English even though the master spoke English just fine. Definitely use Google maps to find the location and go up the stairs. There are lots of knife shops in the area so plan extra time to shop if you are looking for knives. Also they have later experience times which is a plus. We had ours at 6pm which allowed us to do lots of other things during the day.

I recently participated in the 90 minute premium experience at the Musashi Clan Dojo and could not be more pleased. Through a combination of an interpreter and the sensei/master, we were given an appropriate amount of engaging history lessons and real lessons with weapons. My wife and I were able to practice using the blow gun, shuriken, and were able to spend time practicing with wooden swords. An ample opportunity was provided for us to take photos and videos of one another. We felt extremely welcome and could sense that the sensei genuinely wanted us to both enjoy the experience and meaningfully learn some of the real tricks of the trade with respect to shinobi (ninjas) and samurai. I definitely learned some historical nuance to the job of ninja and samurai that I previously did not know!
If you want to have an extremely non-touristy and private experience for a small group, I strongly encourage you to sign up for an experience at the Musashi Clan dojo - a "family operation" since the Tokugawa Shogunate (hundreds of years)!

This was a ton of fun. Vanessa and her colleague told us a great story and the experience of learning about the Japanese Samurai and Ninja culture. They were great hosts and took us through some fun exercises while explaining the history of it all. Very kind and hospitable., My 14 year old son said it was the best experience of our trip

This was an amazing experience. We ( 2 kids and husband) really enjoyed learning about the history and the ancestors of one of the few remaining samurai clans in Tokyo. You get to dress up as an ninja and samurai and learn about their weapons. I would highly recommend this experience as a must do on your trip to Tokyo.

We had the most authentic, warm, welcoming, fun and very exciting time during our Shinobi Samurai experience. This was one of the best activities we booked in Tokyo and highly recommend this to anyone who is interested in learning about ninja/samurai culture. We had an English translator the whole time and loved how interactive and hands on our experience was. We celebrated my boyfriend’s birthday and they dressed us in traditional Japanese clothing and took lots of beautiful photos. Arigato gozaimas!!!

Our kids, ranging from 11 to 16 years old, had a great time despite the sleepiness due to time lag. Everyone enjoyed every activity offered, starting from initial storytelling to shinobi/ninja blindfolded walk, shuriken throws, blow darts, all the way to samurai sword training. Even as parent-spectators, we enjoyed seeing all the kids activities. Highly recommend!
