Making the chopsticks was a blast. Minju was helping us and she gave us great detailed instructions and helped with any difficulties. She had a lot of info on the types of woods we could choose and suggestions for the engraving. A great experience for families; i would definitely recommend to everyone.

This was a quick but fun experience with a great keepsake souvenir! Be aware that two types of wood are included but the more premium can run several thousand yen. The engraving is also a separate cost, but worth it in my opinion. Thank you, Mimi, for your help and your friendly attitude while we were making our chopsticks! We had a great time!

It was well organised Friendly staff sparkling very good English and for me very wheelchair accessible (small, short wheelchair -big wheelchairs are anyhow problem in Japan). Interesting and very nice experience with a usable souvenir.

What a fun experience with the kids in Japan. My kids and I really enjoyed the class. Rick and Michelle was kind and patient with teaching us how to handle the tools. You can upgrade your wood and put an engraving on your chopsticks for an extra fee. Loved how they turned out.

Great way to spend an hour

Really helpful staff (thank you Rick) who looked after us and took us through each step to make our own chopsticks. We loved every minute, although it can get pricey if you choose different wood and engraving

Very fun expereince. Got to pick out what wood we wanted to work with and then spent the class shaving and then sanding them into shape. The chopsticks looked great at the end. We had a worker who consistently checked in on us and provided feedback and guidance throughout the process. It was very fun.

We had a great time and the instructors were very helpful, friendly and kind. The first experience was so great that we took the class a second time.

Great Experience

Shannon_S, Jul 2026
A short class making chopsticks. Even though you reserve a time, it is a rolling start depending on when you show up. They go from group to group giving instructions (It isn’t one big class). You can also upgrade the wood for your chopstick ( for a fee) and you can get your chopsticks engraved for 2200 yen. So much fun and super easy!

Nice activity during lunch break

Stefanie_P, Jul 2026
The workshop is quite nice. Make sure you pay attention to the stars/ranking of the wood. It was quite difficult and you need some strength to grate the wood. I wasn't quite happy with the results. Especially one chop stick didn't meet my expectation. I asked if I can redo and that was possible. The guid Koji was very nice and welcoming. Nice experience over all.

Great experience working...

Adeyori_A, Jul 2026

Chopstick craft

Gitesh_P, Jul 2026
We had an absolutely fabulous experience making our personalised chopsticks from the wide variety of seasonal woods available.. It was such a unique and enjoyable activity. Our instructor, Thiery, was fantastic. He reminded us a little of Will Smith with his friendly personality. His knowledge for the craft really enhanced the experience, and he took the time to explain everything clearly while making us feel welcome throughout.. If you’re looking for something different and memorable, I would highly recommend this experience.

Great experience at a great price

Jorge_C, Jul 2026
We had a great experience with Koji. He helped me with sanding the chopsticks and making sure it was a great experience. The experience was a steal at the price and I think the engraving is worth the extra fee.
